I will use an extended casting of the spell "Karrguk, we believe that the giants don't care about Orcs. They only care about giants. I think you know this to be true. I think you should have your men strike out on there own. Hell, they make you live in a mote. You should leave them to defend the fort alone and break down the dam trapping them in the for for making you live this way."

Once he has made the logical case. He will leave it to the others to push the plan.

With that, Sid will cast invisibility sphere so they can all escape. Sid will set up rope trick somewhere where they can watch the orc leave and dam be destroyed.

You rest overnight in the rope trick. On waking the following morning you find that the Orcs have gone. The dam has been broken and the ogrekin lay dead. A large proportion of the fort appears to be in disarray, with only the lower levels seemingly unaffected

"She likely left with the rest of the ocrs. Though I don't think they will come back because the leader won't want to be seen changing his mind the spell will wear off and I'm sure he will not be happy with me. If she stayed here it she would have move into the fort so we should keep an eye out for her while we are in there."

"We'll keep an eye out, but I would guess she left with the rest of the orcs. Still, might not hurt to have a few of those charm spells laying around, Sid," Kohl says with a smile. "Hmm, there's some nice gear here. Help yourselves."
He peers out the flap of the orc leader's tent. "We should probably look through this above ground area first. There may be some useful stuff left behind. And we don't want anyone surprising us from behind."

The area containing the sewer is now under 7 feet of water due to the breaking of the dam

A large stone fortification, perched atop a small rocky island above a deep trench surrounding the entire stronghold, guards the approach to the fort's gatehouse. The barbican has been abandoned. You find a weapons rack holding 10 longbows and a barrel containing 60 arrows.

This area is now flooded under 7 feet of water as is K4 and K5

Areas K9, K10 and K11 are also empty

A giant table spans the entirety of this long room. A headless, fire-blackened horse torso, eviscerated from throat to navel, lies atop the table. The hollow carcass is stuffed with an even more macabre offering of charred humanoid arms, complete with crisp and curled fingers reaching in vain for salvation

As you look around you suddenly see movement and a large hand moves off the table and comes towards you.

Zavier moves to flank the hand with Dolgrym and grab it!

Nice rolls! Huge hit DS. ZV draping the thing up in a bow.

Gallant moves up swiftly into a position to attack the grabbed hand.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11


Dolgrym and Basher leap in and attack the hand, doing a large amount of damage before Zavier steps forward and bodily grapples the creature.

The hand then tries to break out of the grapple.

CMB: 120 + 10 = 130

on to block 3


1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20


Ok so that's 20 total on the CMB

24 was the number to beat for the grapple.

Sid is waiting in the wings. This seems like a problem better suited to the strong.

Kohl tries to stab the hand with his sword without damaging Zavier. I think I can move into flank for this. Subtract the +2 if not
greatsword: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 2 = 16 dam: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 3) + 4 = 10
well, hopefully it's got a crappy AC right now :)


With Kohl's final blow the hand is sliced into pieces.

There is nothing else in the room.

I suggest we keep going along this path until something else pops up.


K16 is a Midden. Piles of cracked bones, discarded hides, rotten meat and other refuse are heaped along the walls.

K17 is a latrine.

K18: Is the kitchen containing various carcasses of humanoids and animals. It is otherwise empty.

K19: Assorted foodstuffs appear to have once been stored in this larder pantry.
