Dalton is. My mistake with 80 was I was originally going to type four score, but decided on the decade instead without adjusting the rounding.

I seriously love how interconnected I make the plot with my players. I mean, when Toramin created his father I had to control myself because I knew how well it was going to fold into everything.

At least they didn't start forging rings of power. :-)

or did they . . . dun dun dun . . .

Just go to Eagle Grove. That's where the giant eagles are. Campaign over.

Bjorkus, I've thought about the long term for the Raging Storm. With some legwork and diplomacy and the proper funding, at some point in the future it would be very possible to have her made into an airship. However, if you plan on doing that and keeping your crew around, then you have to take leadership. Sound fair?

Sure but can I choose who gets cohort status? Luthor is the obvious choice but I'd rather not bring another melee onto the team.

Just clarifying note, their father's name is Alavar. Malan has been pronouncing it Avalar.

My apologies Toramin, that's the DMs fault, not Malan's.

For the purposes of your leadership, the effective "cohort" is going to be the ship and whoever you leave in charge of it while you're gone. That will prevent the problem of any mutinys from springing up.

Toramin, just so you know, the discount that Malan gives you won't be eliminated when I manually adjust your wealth when the party levels up. Your effective max wealth is now 450gp higher than normal.

Does Bjorkus's coin from performance and Dalton's entrepreneurship get the same treatment?

I would say yes, but hasn't Bjorkus earned negligible money compared to PC wealth? As far as Dalton's entrepreneurship, he's mostly used it to set up connections and stimulate economies rather than to make personal wealth. That grants him power and influence, not money.

Male Grizzly Bear 3 | HP: 30/30 l AC: 19 /T: 12/FF: 17 l Fort: +4, Ref: +5, W: +4 l Init: +2 l Per: +5; Low-light vision; Scent l Movement: 40

I'll do the math when I get home but I'm pretty sure it's been a few hundred gold over the course of the campaign.

I very highly doubt that. Bards don't make a lot of money, and I don't hand out a lot of money to my PC bards for spending the night singing instead of drinking.

Cool. I had assumed that the discount from that and using the crafting feats would be accounted for during such times. But it's good to have confirmation.

May I make a recommendation on the ship-cohort thing?

Ah yes, make sure to have a detailed account for crafting.

You can absolutely make a recommendation. Worst case scenario is I say no :P

Male Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 11 l HP: 105/105 (127/127) l Init: +1 l AC: 30 (44 v giants) [T: 12 (14); FF: 27; CMD: 29/33(43)] l Fort: +13 (+15), Ref: +7, W: +9 (+11) (All saves increase by +5 for p, sp, and spls) l DR: 5 (Adamantine) l Per: -1

Cohorts have a WBL. Perhaps instead of paying out of pocket for the ship's upgrades, the ship gets upgrades based on the WBL of a cohort of its level. He is already starved for feats, and that would be in keeping with the nature of Leadership.

He will have to take leadership regardless. Being in charge of that many people without leadership isn't something I shouldn't have allowed in the first place.

I'm going to say no to that. Allowing that is the equivalent of allowing thousands of gold that scales with level for the cost of a feat. Plus the effects of leadership, which are already incredibly powerful for a feat.

However, you could go with the crafting route and get the upgrades for cheap by making them yourself. I believe you still plan on taking my homebrew tech crafting feats in the future, correct?

Male Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 11 l HP: 105/105 (127/127) l Init: +1 l AC: 30 (44 v giants) [T: 12 (14); FF: 27; CMD: 29/33(43)] l Fort: +13 (+15), Ref: +7, W: +9 (+11) (All saves increase by +5 for p, sp, and spls) l DR: 5 (Adamantine) l Per: -1

That is the plan. Or rather I thought I was going to have to take Technologist and then Craft Technological Arms and Armor, but home-brewed is fine too. Probably better since I think the Technologist feat is innately hateful.

Technologist does not exist in my campaign, that feat was tailor made for a different AP. My homebrew feat will cover that.

It occurs to me that we've only really had two good chunks of downtime but Bjorkus has made ~70 gold from his performances.

Here and here.

Bjorkus asked me to enchant his headband with an Int bonus. So Ianna will be busy with that and retraining for the next few days.

Ha.

Joking aside, can you pull up the rules on double-enchanting an item?

I can. Well, he will still be mentally disabled. It will take another 2 point boost to get not deficient.

"If the item is one that occupies a specific place on a character's body, the cost of adding any additional ability to that item increases by 50%. For example, if a character adds the power to confer invisibility to her ring of protection +2, the cost of adding this ability is the same as for creating a ring of invisibility multiplied by 1.5."

For future reference, I like links. Yes that is correct, 6000 gold for a +2 (I assume you're doing a +2).

3000 to create.

Indeed! And six days unless you raise the DC by 5 (who doesn't?) to craft it in half the time.

Ianna prefers to take 10 when appropriate, so she will take the six days.

5 (Base) + 8 (Caster Level) + 5 (For not knowing Fox's Cunning). She could half the time if it were a spell she knew.

You can always pony up the cash for a scroll of the item if you want.

Omen, should we expect anything to happen in the next few in game days? Or will it be idyllic vacation in Gesthil?

Dalton Caster Level Checks/Opposing Will Saves: 10d20 ⇒ (14, 20, 12, 11, 3, 13, 3, 5, 2, 11) = 94

On Dalton's fourth attempt the scrying will be successful. Assuming he tries 2/day, that means he will succeed late evening in two days from now, so both Toramin's armor and Bjorkus' headband will be complete. Also Ianna can make three Spellcraft checks to research her advanced sanctuary spell.

Shall we time skip two days then?

Bjorkus needs to wax poetic using his newfound intellect.

Yeah, you guys basically have two full days. Ianna will be very busy, but the rest of you can do things of you wish. Malan will make no progress on the sword but projects if he had months to research it he could make some changes. Other than that, you guys will get a short vacation until Dalton can talk to his father.
