"While I won't deny that our goals may be the same, I have to admit that the roads we each take to arrive there are as vastly different as night and day. Sarsczek narrows his eyes at the consortium agent. His voice starts in his usual broken pattern but quickly falls into a growl. "Sss-peak quickly. If I smell deceit, I will taste blood."

Unnvar listens to Owyn's parlay with the Aspis man, but in truth he is itching for a fight, as Owyn and Sarsczek move forward Unnvar follows them closely on a knives edge he's ready to act. He waves the dwarves and Elaqis to move foward as well.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

The man pauses and remains smiling at Owyn before responding in slow, casual tone, "There are many 'roads' to take, but in the end the results are the same, and isn't it the results that matter? Now what is it, exactly, you're accusing me of? There are no eggs around here."

Has our slower group caught up with the sneaky types yet?
Clandelve moves forward as quietly as he can until he hears speaking ahead, then moves more quickly.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

You have time to catch up as the conversation has slowed the movement of the front of the party. If you look on the map, that's where I consider everyone. Go ahead and move yourself where you'd like to be, as we're still out of initiative. You'll still be swimming until you get to the small island where Clandelve and August are.

Sarsczek mutters in Draconic. "He is stalling... He knows something about the eggs... We should take him alive... Shall I?"

The water elemental finishes dragging Elaqis through the tunnel as the gnome drags himself panting up onto the closest small island.
Getting to his feet, the gnome stands silent as the tallfolk converse, but as the conversation goes on and people get on edge, he speaks calmly but clearly in Draconic. {Draconic} "Hey, we know what has happened. We don't want to hurt-smack you, but you should move away from Gerben. We can help get egg-yous back. Step back, let snake-ring get what is coming."

Gimble, The Storyteller |

At Elaqis's words, his demeanor changes and he speaks to the lizardfolk in Draconic.
With those words, the lizardfolk grip their morningstar's tighter and start to move to better guard Gerben. Gerben stands up straighter and reaches for his weapon.
