Gig Razorbyte |

Gig casts detect magic and concentrates on the helm.
”So, Hack, what do you think this is used for? It doesn’t look very comfortable.
Engineering: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (4) + 20 = 24

Game Master S |

Gig doesn't quite get it as he's stuck thinking its equipment for a show, but Hack-it deduces the helmet's powers: Sovereign Helm.

Hack-It |

"Neat little item," Hack-It says, explaining what it does. "If you're okay with it mucking around with your mind, it'll give you a neat trick over robots."

Game Master S |

The party heads back to the Sunrise Maiden. You're just about to board when you hear a high pitched voice, "I DON'T CARE OPEN IT!" It appears there's a ysoki on the wing trying to cut his way into the ship! He turns and looks at you, "Soooo.... ummmmm.... parlay?"
Booker: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 (Darkvision 60')
Dunklezahn: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 (Darkvision 60')
Gig: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (2) + 0 = 2
Hack-it: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 (Darkvision 60')
--->Hum: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18
Janzi: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18

Game Master S |

GM mistake. The voice is a female's.
"Not sure actually, he went with Null. They took a shuttle off this planet to look for some kind of replacement part for one of the computers here. The glowing man told ’em should be able to find one inside one of the other moon’s core facility or something. If they bring it back here, we can fix the computer, and then get that weapon Null-9’s been talking about forever. Sooooo are we fighting?"

Game Master S |

"Well... no. I don't want to surrender. I just want you to leave me here, alone, with all this wonderful chaos. Also, I'm just talking to Q-0."

Torin Janzi |

I'm actually glad you're not surrendering, Janzi says, I have some built-up aggression for Ysoki and you're an ideal candidate for it.

Game Master S |

"Ummmmmmm........" The ysoki looks left and right as Q-0 flies up next to her. "I don't suppose you could take it out on the two yoski with you?"

Booker Broadshaw |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

"Believe me, he'd like to. Well, one of 'em, anyway," Booker cuts in. "I don't think we can agree to leave you here... Can't have you breaking back into the facility again. You understand."

Game Master S |

"Really? Come on. Seriously. You're as bloodthirsty as the cultists.... and my brother."

Torin Janzi |

Fair point, Janzi says, moving closer and putting his hand on his corona laser pistol. Usually reserved for those who try to kill us, or piss us off. I'm particular about the blood I, uh...thirst, I guess.

Booker Broadshaw |

"You're part of a cult that's trying to blow up the universe. Makes me a tad grumpy," Booker replies sarcastically. "So's yer brother. But we ain't trying to kill you if it can be avoided. Come quietly an' we'll think about dropping you in another jungle when this affair's finished."

Game Master S |

"Jungle?! Like, where there is no tech? No tech at all? F that. What's it going to be. We leave your ship and you forget about us, or a big rumble?"

Booker Broadshaw |

Booker shrugs again. "We can dump you on Aballon instead, if that's what y'want. But after we're done."
Someone with a Sense Motive worth rolling want to roll it?

Torin Janzi |

Sure, why not?
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (11) + 17 = 28

Game Master S |

Janzi thinks that what he sees is what he'd get if he took Xix up on her word.
1d20 ⇒ 5

Hack-It |

"You know I can hear you two meatheads, right?"
Hack-It turns his attention to the ysoki. "Who were you shouting at to 'open it'?"

Game Master S |

"X-O. Your ship is weird.... I was just well, curious."

Torin Janzi |

It's not his ship, Janzi whispers.

Game Master S |

"Fine! We'll just go now. No harm... no harm."

Gig Razorbyte |

Turning to Hack, Gig remarks, ”I trust that you’re the Ysoki that Janzi has trouble with? What trouble could I possibly cause?”
Gig looks to the Female Ysoki and remarks, ”So, Lady, what were you doing checking out our ship? I hope for your sake that you didn’t mess with anything. I’ve worked hard to keep the Sunrise Maiden running in tip top shape and I don’t want to find any kobo nut shells lying around in my engine room.”

Game Master S |

"Well, I didn't actually get in now, did I. Look, I'm just going to get down...." She grabs Q-0 and drops to the ground. "And I'm going to walk away. We good?"

Torin Janzi |

What the frack is a phaser...? Janzi starts to ask, then turns his attention to the would-be escaping ysoki and casts a spell.
I presume that triggers initiative.
Pretty likely, I'm sure.
Anywho. DC 16 Will save to negate.

Game Master S |

"Gah! No!"

Game Master S |

Booker quickly locks her down even as her drone continues its mission:

Hack-It |

"Nine Bloody Hells, guys," Hack-It shakes his head ruefully. "I know it's the end of the universe we're trying to prevent, but sheesh. Let's try and not nuke everything in our way?"
He then looks at the drone trying to hammer Dunklezahn, shrugs, and punches a few commands in his wrist console. Hum then flies out at full speed toward Xix's drone, stops abruptly, and then a wire snakes out and makes contact with the drone. Immediately an EMP-like pulse runs through the enemy drone's systems.
Full round action to Run for Hum. Standard action from Hack-It to Overload w/Override on X-0. DC 18 Will save or be dazed for 1 round. If the target fails its saving throw by 10 or more, it is not dazed and I can dictate its actions for 1 round

Gig Razorbyte |

Gig quickly moves his hands drawing a much power as he can muster to cast Magic Missile at Xix’s drone, Q-O.
Magic Missile: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 4, 3) + 3 = 11
”The Ysoki looks kinda cute, but her drone looks expendable.”

Game Master S |

Gig's quip is just as savage as his magic missile! Hack-it works his particular set of skills Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15. Hack-it smirks a bit as the drone smokes from the assault.

It's much easier to get us not to fight when you don't attack us. Funny how that works.
Janzi moves up and hurls a seven-pointed disc of force at the incoming maintenance drones.
ranged attack vs. White's EAC: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 sigh
The initial attempt is easily dodged by the droid, though it immediately turns toward the other.
