I always thought the penalty to attacked and defender cancelled each other out for the people in the grapple, but I could be wrong.

[retired]

You also rolled a 1 to maintain, which autofails, but oh well.

I always viewed the Dan Bong as being similar to a Gauntlet: you can wield it without it taking up a "hand", therefore the –4 penalty doesn't apply.

Dead Suns:

I missed that 1 then. The green of the diceroller isnt always clear on my phone.

Hmmph, so we did. Chalk up another "TIL".

In my 5e Greyhawk game, I'd call that, "The Pomarj Piledriver."

M Large Canine Level 3 druid

Justin is losing so many man points if anyone in the party understands that besides rataji...

Leaving for PacifiCon in a few hours. Will try to post at least once a day but please bot me if needed. Should return to my regularly scheduled posting rate by Tuesday ^_^

You know, the previous time I played a smidgen of RotRL I came into the party as someone in those cells.

Does every AP have a prison area somewhere halfway the book one dungeon for latecomers?

I wonder if that's just a sort of "accidental feature" that's worked out very well.

Sovereign Court

I have my suspicions. Iron Gods has the same sort of "opportunities" in the first book.

I'm very inexperienced with APs, but there's a similar opportunity in Hell's Rebels, too (the Sallix Salt Works).

Sovereign Court

It could just be an occupational hazard, that most APs spend some time near *gasp* dungeons. But I wouldn't be surprised if this accidental feature became a useful fixture. Quite a few campaigns pick up new players or have PC switches once they get going.

Dead Suns:

We also totally have to hurry up the gameplay, as we need to finish this and then go trough shattered star.

Because the newly announced AP is Return of the Runelords!!!!1111111111oneoneone

Runelords 2, this time we prepared coffee

M Large Canine Level 3 druid

Talking with someone that has the original, the circle is a privy pit. The bottom of which matches up with the rough hewn corridor.

Which for.. reasons.. is very good news.

Dead Suns:

Ah. That is that mystery solved. I guess that info got cut from the anniversary edition.

Paizo has a spotty record when it comes to putting toilets on maps.

Highschool. Shortest character life ever recorded in the history of gaming.

Party kills a bunch of Draconians. One of the party dies.

He re incarnates into one of the draconians. Player spends half an hour making a character.

"Grarg..wgheha..whahaa" puts his hand up.

My druid takes a scimitar of speed, assumes he's casting a spell, and whacks him.

Nat 20. Max damage.

Aurak draconian explodes in a ball of flame.

"and thats how i met your mother"

Sovereign Court

It should be enough to recognize a "very common" critter like a zombie or goblin...

M Large Canine Level 3 druid

[walking dead]Obviously someone needs to climb down and engage it in melee and get bit. There is absolutely no reason to put it full of arrows and set it on fire. Nope. [/walking dead]

Dead Suns:

Dont give them ideas...

^ I agree with Woran...

Subject has begun gnawing and tearing at the offered jerky. Note this indicates...

wait, a starving person and a zombie react pretty much the same way to that stimuli don't they?

Now onto the fire test...

"Subject isn't a big fan of being set on fire..."

Again, this isn't telling us enough...

M Large Canine Level 3 druid

How about the decapitation test?

OO good idea. Fill the whole up with water and see if he floats, THEN see if he burns. The scientific method!

I would imagine that to a ratfolk, the subtle cultural distinctions between a "tiara" and "jeweled crown" would pale besides "shiny", especially a "found shiny" and to justin doubly especially "found shiny with extreme historical signifigance"

Sorry for being a bit quiet guys, it's been hectic. Should be getting better next week.

[retired]

Is Rataji going "off-screen" soon? Or will she be continuing with us so Hmm can jump in later?

And, although I read the early gameplay and discussion posts, I'm still a bit lost on the family relations. Can somebody summarize them for me?

Dead Suns:

I'll put Rataji in a NPC role, in case she ever has time enough to come back.

Which family relations would you like to know more about?
You can find a lot of background info here

[retired]

I read about the families that founded Sandpoint, but I meant the familial relations of Snowflake and his sister.

Like, I feel like I missed the first two Seasons of Game of Thrones and I need a summary of how they're connected to everything.

Dead Suns:

Ow, yeah, that's a good one! I think snowflake can tell that best.

Also, Snowflake, Vitro and I are leaving for a convention in Germany on friday. We'll be back late on monday. Dont expect much out of us untill tuesday.

Feel free to have your character tell what happened in the catacombs in the meantime.

M Large Canine Level 3 druid

I think i missed the scene change. But Justin cheek pouching a few extra pancakes for Dayo and then stuffing himself when he wasn't cleared is something he'd do.

M Large Canine Level 3 druid

I got a ratfolk boon for PFS and couldn't resist making modified version of justin.

Couldn't find any good ratfolk mini's though...
