I have my character mostly done, though still have to put him into a profile.
Couple questions:
Am I reading the rules right that the only feat we start with is a class feat?Also, does my reading gibe with yours? As a monk, I have 3 signature skills. I'm not necessarily trained in those skills unless I choose them with my allocation of 3 (plus Int mod) trained skills.
Signature skills just means that you can take them to legendary, eventually. You put in points to become trained with them.

Doublechecking -- where do you see that humans get two ancestry feats? I was looking back through the list and don't see that.

At 1st level, you gain one ancestry feat, and you gain an
additional ancestry feat every 4 levels thereafter (at 5th,
9th, 13th, and 17th levels). As a human, you choose from
among the following ancestry feats.
You're right, I had that wrong somehow. One ancestry feat. :)
Yeah, that's part of the complaint I've seen for how half elves / half orcs are being handled; being a "half race" means they're down an Ancestry feat.

The one thing that I have been trying to figure out for the last 15 minutes... what does TEML, BPS and SIG stand for. I haven't been able to find those acronyms in the pdf... Now I found it.

Sig is signature skill, which means you’ll be able to do some special things with it in time. Don’t think it really matters at first level though.
I had my goblin mostly built but was hoping to see the pre-gen before I finalized it. I understand it will be Monday before they are posted.

I know a few people are nailing down crunch for their characters, but I'm posting up the intro so people can introduce themselves. When everyone is ready, we'll get rolling!
Also there are updates to the playtest already. Sorcerers are not automatically trained in their signature skills, so I need to adjust Nalshene's skills just a bit.
On the plus side, all characters are trained in unarmored defense. :)

I'll need until tomorrow as well. The delay of the pre-gens delayed me. Sorry! Also there are some updates to the rules that just came out and I have been advised that I need to read them as I am playing a goblin.
My alehcmist, Ord, is up. He is mostly the iconic. I have to go back and reverse engineer how he was built to make sure things like formuli and gear check out. Only the background and a few skills are different.
This is the alias for my Dwarven cleric of Torag. I am still working through his crunch, but will post in the Gameplay to keep us moving.
His father was high priest of Torag (hence the surname Highsmith) and inducted Grim into the faith at a young age. Seeing that the youth was relying on his father's status and connections to much, the wise high priest sent his son away from the enclave, to make his own way in the world, without much money and little training. This test of self-reliance is important to the father, but seen as a punishment to the son who plans on not returning if it can be helped.
From there, hijinks ensue and he ends up serving the Society as an initiate.
I'm curious, are you guys using new profiles? I can't get the avatar page to work (using Firefox) to pick an image for my character. If you guys have been able to, I could try a different browser/something...
Worked fine for me with firefox. I had a small screen and the selection was sorta screwed up but it worked.
The avatar page format was royally screwed up using Chrome, but I managed to make it work with some perseverance.
Well that was horrible time for the site to go down. Hopefully everything is working properly again.

This site sucks sometimes. I am heading to the airport now to take a weekend trip to Okinawa before my Kickstarter. I will try and post each day to keep up.
They're apparently doing things to make it better. Supposedly. I'm getting less sure about that every day, though. :(
Things -look- more stable now. Unfortunately, I'm going to be leaving for Dragon*Con this weekend and my availability may be iffy. I'll try and make a post a day, however.

That would be fun. I'll be working the Brobdingnagian Bards booth most of the weekend but I'll probably slip away some.
I am back from Dragoncon and wanted to report in. I hope the site is now stable and we can get back to our game. :)
Out of curiosity, does anyone have Diplomacy? It is an interesting thought that while we're ripping open the rules, adding to Bluff to be able to influence NPC reactions might be nice.
Also, I'll note that so far you guys have been super indirect and haven't mentioned the Barbers at all ;)
I have Diplomacy trained, but since I am dwarf, my CHA is not great. With the proficiency bonus, I get a +1. Will give it a shot...
Nalshene is the Diplomancer. It seemed like the right time to lie, though.
