It's one of the alternate racial traits. It replaces orc ferocity. I thought it was fitting for a worshiper of Apsu, whose favoured weapon is a bite attack. :-)

We're getting close to the end of this dungeon level now as you can likely tell from the map.
I'm starting to prepare chronicles now as there is an additional sheet with a unique mechanic that needs to be discussed.
I'll put something under the MAP link above to explain things. If everyone could let me know if they want to take advantage of the additional sheet or not that would help a lot.
I'll explain properly with examples under the link - please see slide 2.

I might partake. It looks like it can possibly help "make" me some money as a character.
The first chronicle sheet I probably will not be purchasing any land as I need to spend two PP to gain the Hunting Lodge Vanity so that I have a skill I can use as a Day Job. (And my character is alright at survival!)
| GM Volandis |
Someone from the other Emerald Spire group was having trouble reading the chronicle. I posted the following for that group so i'll post the same here.
-------------------------------
The Emerald Spire Chronicles are available from the additional resources page, but here is the link to my copy from my dropbox:
As you get more land you can get boons that increase and improve dayjob checks, get additional PP and Fame or get some spent PP refunded. There are also some unique benefits such as the Country Estate vanity that would normally cost you 20 PP to purchase.
I'm running this for my local lodge too and 4 of 6 have chosen to 'buy' hexes, the others either already had plans for the PP or weren't too bothered about the unique boons and ways to increase dayjob checks. It's completely your choice if you want to get land or not.
For my GM character that is getting credit for each level i'm taking slow path and taking the land because it's something a bit different and fun :)

I'm going to a convention this weekend that starts tomorrow and runs until sunday night. This afternoon and evening i need to finish off my prep for Solstice Scar multi-table special, so i'm going to be very busy from now until monday.
I'll try to get on if i can for another post tomorrow, but if things get too busy i'll be back posting around monday lunchtime UK time. Have a good weekend everyone!

We're getting pretty close to wrapping up this section of the spire now!
I'm starting to prepare chronicle sheets for you all. I see character details for 5 players.
@Heccuba Could you provide the following details for me?
Player Name -
Character Name -
PFS ID# -
Faction -
Race/Class/Level -
Day job -

Over the next few days i need to confirm who does and does not want the extra chronicle sheet so i know how many i need to fill in. Anyone who says nothing by the time we finish this section i'll assume does not want the extra chronicle. I'm OK with filling in the chronicle at a later point if anyone changes their mind though.

I will take it. I was kind of split, because settling down kind of goes against Apsu's ways, but preparing territory to defend itself is. I'm seeing this as the latter. :-)

:),
Depending on the response as to whether or not we will continue might have her re-consider what she wants to do.
| GM Volandis |
The intention is to continue if there is enough interest. I have two tables running of this so depending on that groups interest i'd also be open to merging or moving a character from one table to another if needed to make things work.
When we finish this level i'll likely take a week to get reporting done and prepare what i need for the next level.
I'm at work right now but i hope to get a gameplay post done either on my lunch break or as soon as i get home.

Belmir will be bowing out with grace and gratitude GM. (think I want a little more social interaction and mystery with an investigator; though this has been a fun dungeon crawl)..I do very much appreciate you running this for us however! Thanks so much!

It's the nature of a superdungeon that most of the time there will be a lot of combat. There are levels further down the Emerald Spire where other options are possible but the first level is certainly very combat heavy.
Dropping out is fine Belmiir. Thank you for joining the team!
If anyone else wishes to leave at this point please feel free to let me know.
Also, if anyone wishes to recruit a friend to join us for the next level please feel free to get them to send me a message. The level range for level 2 is 1-3, though the perfect level to line up with others and the suggested slow path plan would be level 2 exactly.
Hallbjorn Ka-Varn

I have a few more games running since we started this adventure, so I must bow out and send Hallbjorn home to his people. Thank you all for playing and thank you GM Volandis!

So! Ehem.
*Sergeant Voice*
It takes 3 EXP to level up! Since the floor of the adventure grants us 3 EXP you level up automatically! You level up just like normal, but you don't roll your HP! Instead you take the average of die roll, which is half +1 since there is no 0 on a die! A Ranger is a d10, so they get 6 + Con upon level up! Congrats!
You also get Prestige! Prestige can be spent on things, such as the Land Hex for this adventure, or getting revived! It's handy, so you should probably save it for now!
Finally, you only get the cash listed on your chronicle sheet! That means when you buy items, you can only take that money into account! So no griding out ways to make a lot of money in character... cause you only get to keep what's on the chronicle!
And that's the basics of leveling up a PFS character that's different from a normal one! Happy Leveling Up Private!
