My posting will likely be very sporadic between now and Monday due to the Thanksgiving holiday and various family stuff.

Take care Noral/Adowyn - I'll see you in our other games!
For everyone else, are you ok with continuing with the group you have: a Paladin, a Witch, a Bard, and an Oracle? As I mentioned before, the Spire is designed for parties of 4 and you do seem like a pretty balanced group. If you want me to I can try to recruit another player or two, but I also think that you are probably fine continuing as you are.

I will get my information posted soon. I just need to look up how the chronicles work for this and what hexes are/do.

Gm could you repost the chronicle that gives us the land, I want to see more about it and cant seem to find it? THanks!
GM Abraham
Hey everyone, my apologies but not gonna get chronicles done before I leave for my trip in the morning. Will take care of them when I get back, which is late Tuesday. For your planning purposes, you each get: 1536 gp, 3 xp, 4 pp (though if you decide to purchase a hex on the land rush chronicle that will cost 2 pp).

How effective would this hex be?:
Summer Heat
Effect The witch surrounds her target with oppressive heat, dealing a number of points of nonlethal damage equal to her witch level and causing the target to become fatigued. The target can attempt a Fortitude save to reduce this nonlethal damage by half and negate the fatigued condition. Whether or not the target succeeds at this save, it can’t be the target of this hex again for 1 day.

Yes, sorry for the delay. Got home on Tuesday night and wife and kid were both sick and so I've been scrambling to handle everything around the house. But I did manage to get over to the office to print out chronicle sheets today (home printer has died) and should get them filled in and uploaded later today or tomorrow. Thanks for y'all's patience.
GM Abraham
Well I'm very sorry it has taken me so long to get these chronicles to you! The holiday season has gotten the better of me...
Your chronicles are here. Let me know if you have any difficulties downloading them or if you see any mistakes.
I will soon create a new forum for us to continue with ES 3. And for those who may be impatient with the pace, I hope to pick things up after the new year.

I added these spells to Boo:
hex vunerality, summon monster ii, summon swarm, augury, inflict moderate wounds, cure moderate wounds, blindness/deafeness. vomit swarm
Dasus

I'm wondering about that token as well. I'm probably not going to take it, (I can't afford masterwork full plate and it), but I'm wondering if that's going to mess me up somehow. If it's just for story purposes, Dasus is the kind of character to hoof it. :-) But, I'm wondering if there's something mechanical, like fatigue to worry about entering and exiting across multiple levels.

That is a good point.
DM, do you know anything about the token?

I took the Misfortune Extra Hex :)
An excellent choice. I played through the entire Emerald Spire with a witch (who is now almost level 16) and she has made great use of Misfortune throughout her career. It's not mind-affecting (unlike Evil Eye) and is great paired with Cackle.

Hooray.
I am thinking of adding some spells to Book from scrolls.
Note that you don't need to buy scrolls to add spells to your familiar. I'm pretty sure that it's been clarified (can't remember where right now) that in PFS, you can always find an NPC to teach you spells - for a fee, which is the same as the scribing cost. As a witch you don't need to pay the scribing cost to write spells in your spellbook (i.e. your familiar), so all you pay is the fee to the NPC, i.e. 5 gp for a level 1 spell.

Yes. Sorry. Holidays were hectic. Still catching up. Soon. Thx for your patience.
Adowyn - Iconic Hunter
GM, I decided to stay with the group after all. Now that holidays are over my capacity has improved as well. I will decide during this week which character I will bring. ;-)
GM Abraham
Again, my apologies to all for the long delay. I'll be traveling all day tomorrow and will have the time to finally get stuff set up for us to continue onwards. Expect an updated post from me late tomorrow or possibly on Thursday. Thanks again for your patience.

Hi everyone, I've finally set up the slides and thread for us to continue our journey into the Emerald Spire. Once again, I'm sorry that the pace has been so slow!
Rather than continuing in this same thread (which was originally created by GM Volandis, which means that I can't edit it), I've created a new thread. Please dot and delete in the gameplay thread, which you can find here.
A loose end from level 2:
* Some of you asked about whether it's worth buying the Spire Transport token. Basically this allows you to use the Spire as an elevator (but only to floors to which you've already been), which could enable you to return to the surface quickly if you needed to. Probably you'll all eventually want them, but it's not a problem if you don't get them now (when 600 gp is a comparatively large sum).
Looking forward to resuming our adventure!
