"Brother Lurgh, if I retrieve the scroll of flight shall you cast it on me, or shall I discover other methods towards perfection?" Guang asks.

Delay until Lurgh can answer that. Again, OOCly if you have other things you want to do go for it, but if you're willing the flight will help me get in there, Lurgh is at convention, though, so he may not get a chance to answer speedily

Gallows Part 3 | REBIRTH!

Glen's final desperate strike cuts deep into the Cruelest Cut's torso, as his eyes widen in sudden surprise. "How can a God... be cut down!?" His wings weaken, before stopping all together, as he rapidly plummets to the floor of the immense cavern.

Perception DC14:
On the finger of the Jistkan Elementalist is a a glimmering ring with a gem that seems to fluctuate between red, green, blue, and white luminescence.

Spellcraft DC22 (With Detect Magic):

Spoiler:
This is most certainly the ring that you are looking for. The Ring of the Weary Sky (That has a nice ring to it!) can, once per day, be used to attempt to charm any creature with the elemental subtype [as charm monster, Will DC 15 negates].

Perception DC25:
Behind the Mummified remains in the glass case, there is a very slight imperfection in the wall. Getting a closer look, you realize that it is a Hinge! This looks like a way out!

Behind the door are a long winding set of stairs up that connect to a long tunnel. After about 20 minutes of walking, the tunnel terminates in the side of a dune.
Survival DC15:

Spoiler:
This door was recently uncovered, maybe 2 or 3 hours ago. Footprints of sandaled feet lead away into the dunes, back toward the city of Manakhet.

Milo will still torch him! =)

Glen breathes a sigh of relief as the noble janni Achistem B’rith falls. He mutters a prayer of thanksgiving to the Drunken God.

The inquisitor flies down to the corpse of the janni and detects magic. He searches the creature, retrieving the magical ring and anything else of value.

He flies back up to rejoin the others, handing them the unidentified ring. "On the finger of the Jistkan elementalist was a glimmering magical ring with a gem that seems to fluctuate between red, green, blue, and white luminescence. I'm not certain of its properties."

"Well done, all. We make a great team." He begins searching the chamber with professional thoroughness.

"Behind the mummified remains in the glass case, there is a very slight imperfection in the wall." Taking a closer look, "It's a hinge! This looks like a way out!"

"Behind the door is a long winding set of stairs up that connect to a long tunnel. Looks like after about 20 minutes of walking, the tunnel terminates in the side of a dune."

Glen asks his veteran companions, "You guys able to identify the ring or spot anything else around the concealed door, the steps or the tunnel?"

Once he's made sure the remains of the 'Cruelest Cut' are little more then a smoldering pile of ash, Milo turns to look at the ring.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

"Is the gewgaw we're gawin' after." He says, as he holds it up and examines it and determines that it does appear to be the item they were sent to retrieve.

"All kinds of elemental mojo."

Gallows Part 3 | REBIRTH!

I'll give you the cool bit, so it's less... shocking on the chronicle?
As you crack the glass to get the Ring that you came for, the ancient corpse of the Jistkan Mage turns to dust. The gem on the ring glows brightly, as the dust swirls above the gem, Forming the face of an aged Qadiran man. The man smiles before the dust settles, falling upon the ring and mixing with the sand. The colors look to shine a little brighter, and as Milo picks it up, he feels a sense of Gratitude wash over him. The feeling fades, as does the added brilliance of the gem.

With a little help, and calling in a few favors, you might be able to convince the spirit to come back to aid you in further endeavors!

Glen Fiddich casts an orison and creates some passable firewater for himself and his friends. After pouring out a small libation to Cayden Cailean on the desert sand, he raises his tankard.

"It's been a pleasure, friends. A toast to fallen friends and vanquished foes. May the former rise again, and the latter rot in the Boneyard."

With a grin, he turns to the gnome. "Yo, Milo or Gary Preston or whatever your True Name is. I'll get you the name of a cute speech therapist I know in the Petals District. She also gives a great deep tissue massage."

"Lurgh, happy trails, friend."

"Guang, if you ever need a wingman on the Path to Enlightenment, just drop me a note in any bar around the Inner Sea."

Sorry, I got home after work yesterday and just hardcrashed, woof.

Guang is relieved as Glen brings down their foe (who is then shortly immolated down to be an indistinguishable black smear on the landscape). "Ah, that was being worry for a moment, my friends!"

He proposes to take the body of the old sage with them, but before he can voice that, the body itself drifts to be claimed by time. Guang bows his head respectfully. "May your next incarnation end more suitably, elder..."

Out on the sands, in the clean air, Guang willingly takes some of Glen's offered beverage, though he coughs just slightly on drinking it. "Strong stuff, this! It has been an honor to work with you all. Brother Glen, I shall certainly be considering you. Let us make haste back to Manakhet, for it seems the Sapphire Sage has some answers to be making about all this..."
