Easy enough!

Guang, slowly dragging Shybbala to the ground, floats gracefully before touching lightly off the dirt and landing. She looks at Guang and shrugs. "We could have had so much fun! What is a vow anyway? You could always vow to never do it again..." She begins to laugh, and tries to wiggle free from his grasp. Concentration: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (2) + 21 = 23 Nope.

Glen Fiddich chuckles, a little embarrassed that he likes the div's sense of humor. "You're a funny one, Lady Div. Never caught your name. Any reason we should let you live?"

I can't think of one. The half-elf taps his toes, remaining hasted.

If/when she drops unconscious, Glen will stop firing his bow.

Adjusted map slightly to reflect how Guang would have wanted to land on the last turn. On my review of the grappling sequence, I'm pretty sure I still have to use an action to do the pin, I don't think it automatically maintains (just the base level of 'grappled' maintains). I could be wrong, but at this point it shouldn't really matter.

Now that he's back on the earth, Guang first of all tries to politely ignore the way the woman is rubbing herself over him...

Guang headbutts the pinned div-- succinctly and with a crunch of a broken div nose. "Irori would know. I would know. Since you have not surrendered, I am afraid I must now destroy you."

Gallows Part 3 | REBIRTH!

Between the flurry of Arrows, and the finishing 'CRUNCH' of Guang's headbutt, the div finally goes still. As soon as she loses consciousness, the prostrate men on the prayer mats begin to blink and stir, rising up from the mats rubbing their eyes and heads.

Glen stows his bow and retrieves his long, curved blade of starmetal. He squats down, examining the tracks on the ground. "It looks like a group of humanoids moved on from this position to the east. Maybe they left these people behind?"

He straightens up and speaks to the men recovering from the effects of the div's enchantments. "You lot, explain how you came to be here. Are you friends of the Sapphire Sage?"

Gallows Part 3 | REBIRTH!

Upon being addressed, the slowly recovering men jump a bit, before looking toward each other. They form a huddle, before an Older man steps forward. "At your service, for releasing us from hers. My name is Yemenz. Yemenez Tharn. These folks are comrades of mine, under the employ of the man you call the 'Sapphire Sage.' We were brought in as additional security to ensure that the Sage could retrieve what he was looking for." Thinking for a moment, he smiles widely. "In exchange for your help in leaving this mess, I would be more than willing to discuss the... Manner and extent of our employment?"

Gallows Part 3 | REBIRTH!

Nodding to Glen and Guang, Yemenez nods in agreement. "I do not mind the bit to drink, thank you kindly! We were hired in Manaket to help the 'Sapphire Sage' on a bit of an Adventure. Her said he was looking for treasure, and would happily pay for the additional assistance. We resupplied in a small building with symbols of purple smoke painted on the interior doors. We were all flown here by carpet, before we advanced farther toward the Citadel. Upon meeting that Dreadful Woman Shybbhala, the Sapphire Sage quickly escaped, asking that we deal with her." Yemenez offers a sheepish grin before continuing. "As you can see, that might not have been the wisest move. I hope that the Artifact that he seeks is of as much use to him in Almas as he desires. There has been much pain and loss of life in attempts for its retrieval."

Finally responding to Guang, Yemenez adds, "Yes, those above are some of my Compatriots. Did they give you much trouble? Will they be able to fight again?"

The footprints are fairly easy to follow, and lead to a low sloping hill, broken and blackened. The black rock steams with heat and bears strange contours as if it had run into its current shape like liquid before drying. Black fumes rise from a rent in the top of this low mound. Fly is Minutes per level, and a scroll is Minimum caster level, so 5 minutes? Guang gazes down at where the creature has fled, and shakes off a few lingering drops of magma from his fist. "Do you suppose it will return?"

Gallows Part 3 | REBIRTH!

Well, I had a post here. Hmm.
A moment later, a giant fist erupts from the ground, aimed right for Milo's face. Lurgh's missile erupts through the arm, causing the previously chilled stone to erupt in a blast of gravel and dust, covering Milo in dust and soot. And that ends initiative!

Glen notices with barely any effort DC 15, so take 1? The footprints lead off toward the eastern wall of the chamber, its pinnacle stretching into the energy storm and scraping the vault’s roof. The collapsed halls of the citadel form an arched corridor, slowly climbing through the vast rubble pile that was once the impressive and impenetrable building.

As you proceed through the darkened corridors, a strange, almost musical sound echoes through the darkened halls. The darkness slowly gives way to a dim light, as the temperature slowly rise to a humid and sweltering degree. A shallow fire pit burns in the center of the room, illuminating the darkness with glowing coals. A large lidded clay jar quivers, almost as if containing a captive yearning to escape.

Sitting, lazily in the center of the pit, casually playing an eerily hollow sounding set of pipes is a scarlet reptilian figure, with a large toothy grin.
"Greetings, foreigners. Welcome to the immortal halls of the Cruelest Cut, the almighty Achistem B’rith. He is an avatar of the mighty Ahriman, his name be blessed forever. He separates mortals from the divine and leaves them to wallow in their own meaninglessness. Be welcome and know despair, for whoever intrudes upon the holy grounds of Achistem B’rith must choose; bow before the almighty Cruelest Cut or face the wrath of the great destroyer!"

After his proclamation, the beast resumes playing on the pan pipes, lazily flicking his tail across the coals.

Kn(Planes) DC 16:
A SALAMANDER is a Chaotic Evil creature that tend to originate from the plane of Fire.

Milo DC 21:
WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO BE IMMUNE TO FIRE?!?!
At least I can still shift things to other elements. This is getting almost Comical

Milo DC 26:
Thankfully, these lizards can't slough off any of my spells, at least not whole cloth! No SR here!

Glen DC 21:
These things *hic* are probably... uhh... Oh right!
Magic Weapons! *hic* Yeah! Get em with that! DR 10/Magic

Glen DC 26:
Why does *hic* it feel so hot in here... Maybe *hic*
It's him? or her? It's hard to tell with... with... Salamanners Heat (1d6)

As Milo spits out bits of ash and dust, his mood does not seem to improve much... even though it is not the first time he's had a mouth full of soot. Though with nothing left to take his anger out on, the flames running up his arms start to fade by the time they move on.

Knowledge (planes): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17 (Bah! Well, at least the plane of origin is a bit of a clue on what to avoid... well that and the fact it's sitting in a fire pit =))

Milo swears at the sight of the salamander in the pit.

"More carked bludgers sharped to glim?" He growls. "And a barmy gull choker alongside?"

He swears again.

"Grannied that Ahriman git was partial to genies ..." He gestures in annoyance at the salamander. "... not that."

had to do a search on Ahriman to see if Milo had learned anything on him yet... and I had! =)

Planes?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 sad trombone

Guang glances at the quivering jar, then back to the salamander. "Another servant of Ahriman offered the chance to bow as well. I declined then. As I must now. Please, bring your great destroyer, yes?"

Glen spares a glance at the gibberish-spouting gnome. I'm sure his mother must have loved him, but I can't understand a freakin' word the runt utters. Goblins speak clearer Taldane.

The inquisitor shares an exasperated look with Guang, shakes his head and shrugs.

"Milo, my friend, if you'll indulge us, can you tell us what manner of creature this flaming red lizardman is? In words mere mortals might comprehend?"

To the creature at the fire next to the quivering jar, the half-elf says, "Bowing to your master doesn't suit us."

Glen holds his elven curve blade ready, leaving no room for doubt.

You couldn't roll a 2 or more? =)
I just barely made the DC myself. Though the GM didn't explicitly mention type, I assume that info came with the base DC?
Note sure how to best say: outsider (fire) in Miloese... hmmm

Milo looks back at Glen, scowling.

"Git's a carked salamander." He growls, shrugging slightly.

"Planar scurf, like that last nobbler." He adds, waving absently back the way they came. "Dabbin' up the glim."

Gallows Part 3 | REBIRTH!

Sorry guys, Mother-in-Law was in the hospital, and got out today. I've been cleaning and getting her place ready for her to come home.

Guang, the Snake man detects as evil, but at this point let's roll some initiative!

"Ah, it is a shame. Achistem B’rith! Please enjoy as your Humble Servant Calipharo flenses the flesh from their skin!" Playing an incredibly Eerie note, the Serpentine figure overwhelms you with a sense of panic. Will Save (Fear)! DC 16 or become Panicked!

After playing his note, he slaps the side of the jar with his tail, cracking open the lid!

Just an instant later, a small horned head appears next to Guang, biting with nasty tearing teeth! Bite: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 Would that hit your Flat Footed AC from an Invisible Attacker?

GM Screen:

Glen Fiddich: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Guang: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Lurgh: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Milo: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Calipharo: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Div Red: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

(My flat-footed AC is 25 (+7 from monk/wisdom, which remains even if I'm flatfooted; +4 from mage armor; +1 insight from ioun stone; +1 deflection, +2 natural armor = 25) , so no, I don't think so. Its being invisible should give it a +2 (unless you figured it in already), but that would only take it to 24, so I make it out by a hair. Yay ioun stone!)

Glen has a move and a swift action remaining, but he will wait till he's identified the invisible creature.
