We'll say it was, cos otherwise Vojtek's 15 misses. LOL

Vojtek dashes forward in a desperate attempt to avenge his comrades. His blade is blessed by the might of his ancestors as it strikes home, sundering the sprite in twain at his feet as he stands, breathing heavily but victorious.

Out of combat! FYI, each one only had a single color spray (though that certainly proved enough!), and once two are down the last runs away. But still...that one was rougher than I thought it would be cos you guys are built for melee, not ranged.

Rather humbled by being felled by something so small, Edward sits in the snow for a few moments.

That was an unexpected test. Such small beasts combined with magic makes an exceptional foe. Thank you Vojtek for driving them off. These are probably the Fey we were told about. Confirms we're on the right track, now to follow it and find our noble lady.

Ali wakens with a fierce cry of surprise and jumps up, shaking her head clear of the magical effects and looking for a target. It becomes evident after a couple seconds of watching her new friends that the threat is past.

Her eyes narrow and her lips curl in a sour expression of frustration. Dammit, I should have been better prepared. Her movements are exaggerated with contained fury at her failure in battle to this point. She's heard to mutter I need a f#%$ing bow! several times.

After a couple moments of fuming, she calms herself and assists in the search. Take 10

Sorry, guys — our internet was out last night. Still is. >.<

Each sprite had a Diminutive-sized shortsword as well as a Diminutive-sized shortbow. Though searching the bodies reveals no coin, Kappi does find one hanging fetish that looks slightly different than the rest. A closer examination reveals it to be a treasure cache of sorts, as it contains 42 gp.

While walking on the trail. Vojtek, we've come across a few of the Fey since we have started our journey. Would you consider using this long sword made specifically for damaging them? I would ask the same deal that I have with Ali, just a bit of instruction in it's use.

Good day, travelers! What brings you to the Border Wood?

He is even more surprised when he discovers it is a handsome snow-white stag, about fifteen feet away in the midst of a small clearing, that appears to be doing the talking!

Character Sheet | Tactical Map | XP

    Oh deer...

On the tundra at the edge of the ice the elders often told stories of talking creatures. While Vojtek has never encountered any, his faith in his Grandfather is so complete that he takes the stag as a remarkable yet plausible phenomenon.

"Good day, and well met. We are searching for a lost woman. Have you seen her?"

When he mentions the lost noblewoman Vojtek turns slightly away from Ali and allows an exasperated eye roll as if to suggest that this state of affairs ought to be expected any time a woman might wander away from the cookfires.

It doesn't occur to him that female talking woodland creatures are probably quite competent in the forests and this particular attempt at humor might fall flat.

I actually prefer the dice rolls on the table out in the open. No fudging on either side. Let the dice fall where they may and if it kills a character or two, fails a check or three such is life.

The elf misses Vojtek's attempt at a body-language joke, being distracted by the newcomer, and fills in a few gaps Vojtek left out. A talking deer? That's crazy stuff right there. Edward thinks and agree's with Davosh. The fey are full of tricks, so while scanning the trees around the Stag, Edward forms a question in his head.

Edward starts with hi question, but realizes that others have posed some already, so he will watch and listen.
