GM thunderspirit
The voice is definitely coming from the direction of the stag, but it is clear to you the stag isn't talking; someone or something is trying to make it seem as though it is.
Davosh the Wanderer
At Ali's nudge, Davosh casts Mage Armor.
GM thunderspirit
Casting will trigger initiative, but mage armor goes off.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

well what I was gonna do next would have triggered init anyway. I'm gonna be away from my computer tomorrow for most of the day, so here is my round 1 actions
Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Round 1
If whatever is invisible remains so, and I assume that it's still on the stag
Move: to within 25' Pref to somewhere with Cover to avoid a charge from the stag. move after cast might be preferable.
Standard: Cast Create Water: Range 25 2 gallons of water 3' above the stag in the width and length of the stags body and head. Desired effect is a bonus to perception and possibly a squeal lol
________________________________________________________________________
Round 1 if the thing is visible, and at range, if not take a 5' step back and shoot, if not target is stag
Move: to somewhere with cover to avoid a charge from the stag, so move might be after the standard.
Standard: Crossbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
______________________________________________________________
Round 1 if the thing is in melee and has a nasty looking metal weapon
Move: to within 25' Preferably somewhere with cover to avoid a charge from the stag. as above after cast if it's smarter.
Standard: Cast Burning Disarm Ref 14 to drop the weapon and avoid 1d4 pts damage.
Vojtek Wartooth
Ali: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Vojtek: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Davosh: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Vojtek Wartooth
Initiative Repost
Baddie 1 - 25
Ali - 21
Kappi - 21
Davosh - 10
Edward - 8
Baddie 2 - 7
Vojtek - 6
GM thunderspirit
As the stag aggressively stamps the snow, suddenly a miniscule, blue-skinned humanoid appears in Vojtek's square; a pair of dragonfly wings holds the wee creature aloft.
Will save (object) DC 17: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (8) + 0 = 8
His hand is pulling back from Vojtek's greatsword, which is now 1/16 its normal size (and effectively useless to him for the time being)!
shrink item
Ali, Kappi, Davosh, Edward!
Vojtek Wartooth
"Huh?" Vojtek asks dully. He is still a unsure of what is going on, but he is very glad he just belted on a dark iron longsword a few minutes ago. When he figures out what is going on, rage starts boiling over in him. He loved that sword and he feels he earned it through trial and bloodshed. It will make a good toothpick, but Grrr....
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein
Is this still snow deep enough that it costs more than a move action to move?
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
I wonder how he shrunk that item...?
GM thunderspirit
Is this still snow deep enough that it costs more than a move action to move?
Anything not on the path counts as double movement for you bipeds.
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein
ROUND 1
Ali draws her sword while powering through the snow directly toward Vojtek and his teeny sword (move 10' north). She takes a mighty swing at the little bugger.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 <--for the love of...I hope I start hitting stuff eventually
Kappi Matarito
Round One
Kappi already alerted by Ali has a tomahawk raised in hand and instantly throws as he aquires his target.
The ax tumbles end over end toward the little bugger. A small part of the lad's mind wonders if it will at least cut a wing off even if it misses the tiny body.
Throwing attack 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 1 = 23
tomahawk (throwing ax) 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 1 = 7
Davosh the Wanderer
Davosh again opens his blue eye wide, while the other shrinks to gimlet. Evil Eye (Will Save DC 15 or suffer a -2 to AC for 8 rounds, 1 on success)
Edward W.Fell

Well I posted actions above, but here is what I'll do. DM does the tiny thing have a metal weapon out? If so cast Burning Disarm as above.
If not I will Ready an action to move if the stag charges me, thus by avoiding the charge. I would shoot it, but it hasn't attacked anyone yet not sure if it's a combatant.
Ha! I knew it Kill it Vojtek, it's a spy
RAGING VOJTEK!!!!
"VOJTEK KILL!!"
Enraged, the barbarian strikes at the diminutive creature with the dark iron longsword.
GM thunderspirit
Kn: nature to identify the critter, if desired.
Ali strikes at the miniature beast, but it effortlessly flits out of the way of her sword.
Kappi's axe strikes the blue-skinned creature, however, and deals a telling blow. It curses and spits in a language only Ali and Davosh comprehend, but likely wouldn't repeat the words used in public (well, Davosh might). Ali strenuously objects to what it just called her mother.
Davosh eyilly eyes the flying humanoid Will save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7, and it seems to slow down just a little.
Edward spys a tiny little rapier in its hand, so he casts burning disarm on it. Refl save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 The nasty little thing curses some more in Sylvan and drops the rapier.
As realization of what's happening begins to occur to Vojtek and he feels the anger surge within him, the stag cocks its head at an angle again, then charges the barbarian!
charge!: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 2 = 20
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Vojtek, you're up.
GM thunderspirit
The miniscule, blue-skinned humanoid with dragonfly wings is an atomie, a type of fey. The blue skin, instead of the more typical green, indicates it is probably a winter-touched, meaning it is evil and gains the cold subtype (numbing cold special ability).
Atomies possess a reduce person spell-like ability and invisibility spell-like ability, and they can make sneak attacks. They often perceive themselves as larger than they actually are and rarely back down from aggression; they take tremendous pride in defeating and humiliating foes larger than themselves.
RAGING VOJTEK!!!!
"VOJTEK KILL!!"
Enraged, the barbarian strikes at the diminutive creature with the dark iron longsword.
Crap! I thought I had posted an attack earlier. Sorry all.
Vojtek is enraged and hacks wildly at the tiny creature with the cold iron longsword with two hands. On the follow-through, his face swings in close and the man's jagged snarl snaps at the fey, attempting to bite down on it and crush its tiny bones to splinters.
Power Attack with Cold Iron Longsword: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 7 - 1 = 24 for 1d6 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 9 + 2 = 15 damage.
RAGING VOJTEK!!!!
Thanks Phil - Longsword is d8 not d6
1d8 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 2 = 17
Davosh the Wanderer
"Beware! It can turn invisible if given the chance. Don't let up the pressure."
GM thunderspirit
It can, were it still alive to do so.
But it is not.
Vojtek's cold iron longsword cuts the nasty fey creature in twain. The stag, seeing this, stomps in fury and...waits for its action.
Ali, Kappi, Davosh, Edward!
GM thunderspirit
I was honestly just thinking, "gosh, this went pretty easy...why can't I challenge these guys a little...?"
And then I remembered the arctic tatzlwyrm.
And the color spraying sprites.
So I guess maybe I can challenge you guys a little. Maybe. ;-)
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein
ROUND 2
Ali moves up to Vojteks' flank, preparing to strike the stag--but is unsure whether killing this beast is necessary. Maybe it will just run away now...
Ready action to strike if the stag makes an offensive action
And...we don't mind being challenged just a little, once in a while!! Last too were more than a little.
Kappi Matarito
Round 2
Kappi takes a 5 foot step back and throws at the stag. (He figured it has already wounded Vojtek, and still looks angry).
Thrown weapon 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 1 = 20
tomahawk 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 = 8
RAGING VOJTEK!!!!
ROUND 2

Perhaps you are unfamiliar with RAGE? The killing will continue as scheduled.
GM thunderspirit
Kappi's axe strikes the stag, wounding it. (FYI to Ali: bleeding does not count as an offensive action.)
Davosh, Edward!
Davosh the Wanderer
Davosh is weary about using magic now on a stag with a raging barbarian nearby. Thoughts turn to venison, and need ing the magic later. He opts for the crossbow. 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4. Not even close.
GM thunderspirit
Davosh shoots his crossbow without success.
Edward levels his crossbow and waits.
The stag goes into a full-attack action on Vojtek...which IS an offensive action, and thus triggers Ali's readied action.
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein
ROUND 2
Ali pauses for a moment to channel her Arcane Energy into her blade for a +1 and strikes
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
GM thunderspirit
The stag's full-attack action on Vojtek never occurs as Ali, seeing the aggressive move toward the barbarian, lunges forward and severs its head from the neck.
Out of combat!
A quick search of the area reveals no treasure except the magnificent snow-while pelt of the stag and its fifteen-point rack. Hey...nice rack!
Davosh the Wanderer
Yes and yes. Let us eat well and prepare the pelt.
GM thunderspirit
Edward, with Ali's help, does a very respectable job on the stag. The midday repast is enjoyable and tasty.
Kappi's scouting expedition reveals little but more snow and ice. He acknowledges that he didn't venture far from the camp, but reports confidently that no immediate danger appears nearby.
Davosh the Wanderer
"Let us not tarry. I still have spells, and the trail will grow both literally and figuratively colder as time passes."
Vojtek Wartooth
Is Vojtek's Tinysword still tiny or is it Great once again?
"Ali, you do know about shrinkage right?" Vojtek asks with alarm.
Davosh the Wanderer
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Aye Vojtek, it'll come back. Tis a stressful time in a barbarian's career. The condition should last just a few days, but before you know it you will return to your normal gadarene self."
Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein
"Ali, you do know about shrinkage right?" Vojtek asks with alarm.
Well, I'd *heard* about it...but I never thought it would get THAT small! Tee hee!!
GM thunderspirit
Is Vojtek's Tinysword still tiny or is it Great once again?
And don't worry, it happens to all guys. It's not a big deal.

You say that like it was a big deal to begin with
Davosh the Wanderer
"It is early yet. Let us take the trail once again. Let us push forward. Kappi, which way?"
Kappi Matarito
"It is early yet. Let us take the trail once again. Let us push forward. Kappi, which way?"
The young Varisian adjusts one of his head scarves for the cool weather. He hefts his brace of spears and starts leading the way.
GM thunderspirit
Once the meal is done and camp broken, the party continues following the trail through the snowy forest.
Cresting a small rise, you can see a human-sized snowman standing in the middle of the trail before a frozen stream.

anyone else think we should just throw molotov cocktails from a healthy distance?
