RAGING VOJTEK!!!! |

- Round the Third
- Current HPs: 93/93
Vojtek drops his axe and snarls at the flying creature as he pulls the massively over-the-top draw on his Compound Bow of the Centaur. With not a flicker of a glance toward Davosh, the barbarian looses a black arrow of death. In the back of his enraged brain, the wiry man trusts in his friends to hold The Eye (and Davosh) back...
Composite Longbow of the Centaur +5: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 for Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9.

Piper your cohort has been defeated, you have an option to survive this situation. That option is to surrender. If you do I will heal your wounds. Friends stand down until the creature has a chance to surrender
If it doesn’t surrender longbow: 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 11 + 1 = 26
damaga: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
I believe that should honor my obligation to Davosh

GM thunderspirit |

Moved people up so that their actions could occur.
As three missiles land in the side of the piper, Davosh cries out in anguish, pleading with his friends to stop, to no avail!
The piper changes his tune to more of a dirge, and a cold, cloying miasma of greasy darkness descends on the party — which suddenly makes Davosh realize that perhaps Poryphanes is not the close friend he thought he was!
DC 19 Will save for the unholy blight

Will: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 7 + 1 = 21
Ali holds her now-blazing sword, defying the nastiness and is able to deflect the worst of the effects.
She levels the blade at the piper, ready for his next spell.
READY action: magic missile to interrupt the next spell.

"LOOK AT ME YOU FOUL DECEIVER!" Davosh then casts a spell of Blessing of Fervor upon the party.

Round 4
Will Save: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32

Will Save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
A powerful will is NOT one of the lad's strong suits, but perhaps bolstered by his friends. Ali's standing with a flaming sword in defiance is a strong image. The paladin's righteous words and Apsu's power in a rain of arrows. Lastly OjosLojos powerful spell must have given the rogue the strength to defy the flying piper as best he could.
He hurls another javelin with deadly aim.

Forgot the <redacted>'s DR. Adjusted now.
Ali readies her own spell and Davosh gives everyone a blessing of fervor! Kappi's javelin falls harmlessly into the swamp, and the raging Northman's second arrow sails wide, but his first does indeed lodge in the flying fey's side, and all three of Edward's arrows score hits! None seems to do quite the damage it should, however!
The piper changes tune, and Ali's readied action goes off...but each missile blasts harmlessly against it!
With a wicked smile, Poryphanes swoops down to touch Ali!

RAGING VOJTEK!!!! |

- Round the Fifth
- Current HPs: 112/107
- Raging (32/32)
Vojtek sets his beautiful bow down with more care than he did when he dropped his axe, and sprints toward the Fey with his teeth bared! He passes Ali and runs straight into his foe, tearing at the strange creature with his own equally strange half-man, half-dragon claws.
for practical purposes, vojtek runs the poly-douche's square and sets up a flank with Ali before attacking.
Right Claw (Magic Weapon for the purposes of overcoming DR): 1d20 + 16 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (14) + 16 + 2 - 3 = 29 for 1d8 + 8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 6 = 17 damage.

Noice!! that would make my confirm roll a 23--which I don't think we'll need, but would be nice to know if it confirms becuase of the arcane point i'd get back!

GM thunderspirit |

Edward's next flurry of arrows drops the flying fey!
Out of combat!
Defeating the fiendish fey and his tendriculous ally earns the party a total of 3500 xp.

Vojtek recovers himself and his weapons with much huffing and puffing.

Davosh stares at the body for some time before the young lad shows him the belt.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (18) + 18 = 36 "Ah! Our ranged combat woes shrink! This is a good item for those who lack ranged weapons!"
The speak-to-ancients still stares for a bit longer, unhappy with his falling to the charm spell. "Come, let us heal our wounds and be done with this place."

The lad looks questioningly at Ali as he buckles on the belt and tries to get his favorite tomahawk sitting just right. Then with smooth speed he pulls the weapon and hurls it into the dead plant monster. It lands with a wet thunk on target. He turns back to Ali with a confused shrug It works okay I guess... he thinks to himself. Then with a slight shriek of alarm he feels his favorite tomahawk suddenly back on his belt. Now his shriek of alarm turns to one of delight! He laughs as he puts his cold iron tomahawk on the belt also.

Kappi Matarito |

Now getting his gameface back on, the lad looks over to Vojtek and makes sure his friend has his wind back after going all barbarian.
There is a passage leading south from the piper/plant monster room. The stealthy lad scouts down it carefully with his magic sword in one hand.

GM thunderspirit |

Kappi sneaks stealthily down the descending steps, which leads to a series of head-high partitions fashioned from intricately brocaded cloth panels stretched over wooden frames. These take up the middle of the cavern, forming a large enclosed area in the center.
The Varisian lad is taking in the colorful sight when his concentration is snapped by a clear, melodic female voice: Hello? Is someone there? Oh, rescuers! Please help me! Please!

Davosh the Wanderer |

Davosh immediately sticks his fingers in his ears. Then he pulls them out, and sticks them in Vojtek's ears.
Vojtek can tell that there's now triple the amount of wax in his ears.

The rogue stops in sudden surprise. For half a moment he wonders what she looks like, it would be nice if her beauty matches her voice!
He takes just a step closer and loudly whispers Sssshhhhh! I'll be right back to rescue you, gimme a sec He rushes back to tell his comrades. He really really hopes its not some horrible monster laying a trap for them.

I’ll come and check with you Kappi. With that Ed will give Kappi a good game (guidance). Lead on brother lead on.
Make sure Kappi staying in my aura
Also detect evil will be happening when we get close to the beautiful voice.

Vojtek Wartooth |

Vojtek is confused by all the rushing about and the fingers in his ears. He is resigned to the fact that stuff around him won't always make a lot of sense though, so he shrugs and does a Jim Halpert look at the camera.

Kappi Matarito |

The party heads down to the room with the middle partitioned off.
Ed detects evil.
GM thunderspirit |

Kappi and Ed don't see anything beyond the partitions, and Edward senses no evil anywhere to which he has a line of effect.
The voice is eager to hear that Kappi is back. Oh! Oh, thank the gods! I need your help! I was captured and am imprisoned here by Jadrenka, Artrosa's warden! She is a malicious monster who hides behind a false human mask!

![]() |

thats obviously a lie. Ohhh where is Ferox when you need him?
Looking at the partitioned area Ed tries to deduce the truth of the matter. Waving th others forward Ed steps into the partician. His bow held at low ready.
sense motive: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
[b]You must be the only prisoner/b]. Ed looks for signs of others and is very wary of an invisible creature.

GM thunderspirit |

Edward finds no hint of guile in the voice. Oh, yes, she says. No one here but me. But Jadrenka will be back soon enough, I'm sure! Please help me!
It takes the pair a few moments to find a way into the partition, which finally opens like a hinged door up to reveal a lovely Varisian woman, who hurries forward and embraces Edward and then Kappi, lingering a bit longer on the rogue. I need you to help me escape. You'll help me, won't you?

Kappi Matarito |

The rogue stumbles back a little, not completely comfortable with the woman rushing forward and hugging him. Yet, he doesn't wish to stab her, so he goes a little stiff and awkwardly pats her back with his off hand as she gives him a one sided hug.
He looks to the others clearly hoping someone else will jump in.
Uh... um... How did you come to be captured my lady? Kappi asks lamely.
He looks around noting anything of importance inside the partition.
Perception 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25

Davosh the Wanderer |

Davosh, immediately suspicious looks. He looks with his special eye.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15 I always picture Davosh at being good at that, and I'm always surprised to remember that he's not at all trained.
"A maiden within the Maiden."

![]() |

Ed takes a step towards Kappi, and places his hand on the maiden’s shoulder to hurry the release of her embrace along. He keeps a sharp eye to make sure she isn’t pickpocketing his youngest friend.
Miss, please look at me. Gather a few belongings that you want to take with you.
In a hushed voice Ed leans to Kappi. Something doesn’t feel right. This is no prison, no locked doors, wierd partitions. If it is a prison, it’s a self inflicted one. Look for signs of others that might be here, or were here, Let Davosh know we may have to take her with us.

GM thunderspirit |

Responding to Kappi's question, she replies, I was kidnapped in my sleep and brought...I don't even know where "here' is. Where are we?
To Edward, she nods. I have no possessions, good sir. Prisoners rarely do, you know.

![]() |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17. I highly doubt that she’s a prisoner
Actually Kappi has an idea. But with our limited resources of personnel I think you need to remain here, and we will come back to you once we find this Jadrenka. I cannot in good conscience bring you with us for I’m sure their will be danger, and I can’t promise that I can keep you safe during said danger. .

GM thunderspirit |

Edward has no reason to suspect the veracity of her statements. Besides years of gaming experience, that is.
She thinks on the suggestion. I would feel much safer with you lot, she says with a pout, but I admit I lose my head in dangerous situations. I will wait here for you and hope Jadrenka does not return before you do. She returns to her place behind the partition walls and is hidden from view again.

Davosh the Wanderer |

"Well, I don't like it. But we can't stand here contemplating our bellybuttons."

Kappi Matarito |

on the map, the area inside the partitions is still covered. But we have searched this already right? If not we totally search it
While the maiden talks with Edward and Davosh, Kappi searches the maiden's "jail cell".
Percpetion 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
Once this is done, the party leaves her in the "cell" and continues on.
placed guys on the map, start exploring the tunnel/hall where I placed Kappi

GM thunderspirit |

In the southern portion of the chamber, a wall of unmortared fieldstone covers the natural cavern beyond; inset in the center of the wall is a stone door carved with the image of a young maiden walking with a hart in a wood. The passage beyond is largely blocked from view.
To the west, beneath an archway carved with delicate vines and blooming flowers, another passage extends into the dim, violet light.

Kappi Matarito |

Kappi smiles faintly at the beautiful carves flora in the archway. He takes a moment to give it a closer look.
Perception 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
Unless one of the others wants to go a different way, the rogue slips down the western way for a quick scout. There is a strange dichotomy to the lads movements. Kappi always looks and moves in an ungainly awkward manner, but somehow the Varisian lad can move quiet as a kender when he wants to.
Stealth 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (16) + 17 = 33
Perception 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32

GM thunderspirit |

Instinctively, the Varisian looks behind him for reassurance, but finds that his friends, and the chamber with the prisoner, are nowhere to be seen! It is as if they have vanished! The youth whirls about and heads the way he came, but the tunnel seems to go on and on and he cannot find his way back to where he once was!
The only thing to do is go back the way he was going when the temperature changed, but to do so, he'll need to be able to see. He fumbles in his pack and finds a sunrod, which he cracks and gives him enough light to see within a five-foot radius of himself. The passage ahead seems to open into a broadening gloom up ahead...
Davosh: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Ali'yanah D'ohr'hein |

Ali perks up, realizing Kappi is missing. She hisses briefly to the others, jerking her head toward the hallway she last saw him, whispering.
sssst!! Lost sight of Kappi! Don't know if he's in trouble...
She peers intently down the passage, trying to see or hear what's going on before mounting a charge.
