Lara Evangeline |

Kragg, looks like they're from the Pathfinder Society Field Guide.

Lara Evangeline |

Yeah, thankfully the D20PFSRD has it (hence the link in my last post).

Kaldan Tide |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |

Just thought I'd say I'm really enjoying this game, great GM and party.

Kragg Stoneheart |

Bringing loot discussion here as we have some now to divide up.
Kaldan what is your primary choice for a weapon going to be? I ask as I eventually will be going with a two handed weapon and using the shield spell to bolster my defenses. I just don't want to go down the same weapon group as you are doing. Doubtful I will ever take weapon focus so there is not really a feat investment for me but don't want o double you up on weapons either if I can help it.
I agree with Thame about loading up Kaldan and whomever else is going into the front lines. Depending on down time issues I can either take a crafting feat at third or heavy armor proficiency. Otherwise would it be wise to make a 1 level dip in fighter to gain heavy armor and martial weapons proficiency?
I would gladly take the ring of swimming! Combined with the bottle of air and I could actually survive and function underwater!
Are we going to have a community pot for group purchases like wands of cure light wounds, restoration potions, resurrection scrolls etc.

Kaldan Tide |

Since it was fairly obvious a lot of the game would be in the water I took the Longspear as my primary weapon, which is the 2-handed weapon group in the Ranger combat training. So spears will be Kaldans main weapon, otherwise Longsword and shield. Longbow for ranged, but again if we're in the water a lot an underwater crossbow might be worth investing in.
From now on it's all Ranger for Kaldan, and I'm happy to be the main muscle. :)
Also happy to put in for a wand of CLW or other healing items.

Lara Evangeline |

I'm okay with sharing healing items like CLW potions, restoration scrolls, etc.

Kaldan Tide |

Well, it's all 2-handed weapons, but I took the longspear because I saw Kaldan as a coastal Ranger, one who works in and out of water. So a weapon that works both in and out of the water fitted his concept.

Kragg Stoneheart |

Ugh having problems with the site kicking me off and thus not seeing updates. You guys having same issue at all?
Kaldan, sounds good. I am thinking at 4th to take a level of fighter and will go with a different group of weapons.
With 1/4 of combats underwater I am definitely thanking you all for the ring of swimming.

Kragg Stoneheart |

As for requesting items do we need to have all of the money upfront or would they take orders for pay later?
Also are there any house rules for crafting items? Asking as it would take me a year to make full plate armor with the standard rules.

Kaldan Tide |

Yes, I have to log in again every time I come here. I wondered why nothing seemed to have updated for an embarrassing time.
Then when I worked that out the board crashed.

Kaldan Tide |

Good point, Kaldan will use the +1 spear as his melee weapon, so I think Lara can take the +1 sword as her backup weapon.

Trieste Carre |

ahh, I thought it was just me getting kicked off. Sorry it's happening, but glad to know I am not alone.
yeah, I had been wondering about crafting. I mean, Trieste's goal is probably some darkleaf armor or something like that to keep her as mobile as possible. It didn't even occur to me that we might be able to "order" it, as it were. Did people decide what crafting feats they were thinking of taking?

Lara Evangeline |

Lara will definitely take Kaldan's +1 longsword.

Thame Smythe |

Thame gets the larger one, of course! He needs to be able to sprawl with his wizardy stuff! Lol
Eh...I suppose that's practical. Having less potential things to worry about makes Thame happy.

GM Striker |

Anything else you want to do at this location for now?

Lara Evangeline |

Thame and Lara both speak Azlanti, so would it actually be beneficial to record the image's message? Or did you mean the monkey goblins?

Kragg Stoneheart |

Sounds Good Thame. I am glad to hear you want the larger room so if anyone comes in and tries tot rob the place yours will be the first place they start.
Have you learned the alarm spell yet? ;p
-------------------
I think Lara is right in that someone knows Azlanti. Nice idea though otherwise to learn the message.
FYI I will be making a separate spell list for downtime days and one for adventuring days. If someone has any input on downtime spells let me know what I can do to help someone.

GM Striker |

So this next bit you can use the downtime rules to work on any improvements you would like to contribute to the colony or crafting. You can also get to know your fellow colonists. I'll put up some short bios of most of them by the weekend.
For anyone whos interested, both tables are basically at the same point in the story. So I think time wise we're doing a good job.
This part of the adventure is a lot more up to you and what you want to try and accomplish here on the island. There are some events on the timeline and such but mostly from here until the end its based on your exploration and decision.

Kragg Stoneheart |

Cool that both groups are about at the same place. Assuming no one has died over there yet?
As for downtime a lot of that depends on what time of information they can get from the monkey goblins about this ritual and ghosthater. If it seems they know something then Kragg would be wanting to go exploring more. If they don't know much then he would work on earning capital for a building project.

Thame Smythe |

Beyond using the rest of his scroll-making material, Thame is open to exploration. He would also like to get to know his fellow colonists better, since he'll be spending quite some time with these 50 or so people.
Up for bringing the soldier to 'no problem here' dais at some point, as well. Thame would cozy up his quarters and just get ready to start cataloging and examining any Azlanti items that might roll in.

Trieste Carre |

Trieste is the kind of person who wants to get the essentials done first. She's willing to help with any building projects, but is probably more interested in getting the colony set up with farming and pest control. She'd also want to help set up like a medicinal garden for useful herbs.

Lara Evangeline |

Lara came here specifically as an explorer, so she is definitely more interested in the archaeological and exploratory elements than she is in working around the colony. In fact, she probably doesn't know what to do with herself half the time she is in the colony, and may end up doing silly things like going exploring alone--after she practically begs for people to come with her, anyway.

GM_DBH |

If supplies and repairs are being handled then Kaldan will use the reason of 'Scouting' to explore the area around the colony. He will be noting sources of herbs, wild vegetables and fruit. As well as any animals that may lair close enough to be a concern.
Lara can easily be his teammate on these explorations. Though Kaldan will avoid any encounters if he can, marking them on his map for the whole group to deal with.

Trieste Carre |

If everyone wants to go exploring together, I'm totally up for that. I don't want to split the party more than needed :)
When we're "in town," Trieste would probably be happy to help Perrell or Lyra as needed, or to help Alba get the medicinal garden up and running. She may also try to learn some alchemy from Alba

Thame Smythe |

I guess I need some clarification...have we had time to prepare spells? I was assuming morning (even early morning) meant that I would be ready, spell-wise. If so, then Thame is ready to go...if not, then he'd vote to wait until he can prepare them.

Kragg Stoneheart |

I was kind of thinking that a few days had passed but need to check the dates again.
Yeah it looks like almost 2 weeks have passed wince the goblin encounter.
Also did Kragg get any information out of the goblins about where their tribe is located? If not then he has some other downtime things he would like to do. (build a tavern or brewery is at the top of the list!) Just let me know and I can make some rolls for Capital and downtime rolls. Plan on using hte smithy to generate the capital if at all possible.

GM Striker |

Yes, this takes place 2 weeks from the last fight.
Goblins will admit that they have a tribe, refers to themselves as ghost haters, you interrupted a ritual they go through to yell at the "ghost" on the dais to become adults. Beyond that, they haven't messed with the longshanks that live here, been far too many till they all left.
This goblin knew that some of its tribe came to the colony but they never came back...
Go ahead and make some downtime rolls.
Out of town for the weekend. Should be back by Monday.
