So far I'm not a huge fan. In one of their first posts about it, Paizo mentioned that they were going to go a little lighter on the rules and then they introduce the condition levels. I really don't like the idea of having keep track of variatible levels of conditions and this and that. Plus I don't like how goblins suddenly get introduced as a Core race without any explanation as to why they suddenly went from psychotic vermin to "somewhat socially acceptable enough to be considered Core".

I haven't delved much into what the new rules are. I really hope that condition levels are dropped, that sounds too complicated.

I'm waiting for them to actually put things out before I judge. Test out the beta provide some feedback and adjust fire from there.
Fair warning, table two just finished the tower and book 1. You're still very close story wise.

Ahhh, I'm feeling a little confused myself. It seems like our "current" enemies are these reptilian/aquatic creatures while the other enemies we've encountered have been coincidental or part of the ancient past. AUGH! Multiple stories at once!
Yes, it can be a bit confusing and I'll summarize what you've learned once you finish the tower. There's the mystery of the colony, current events on the island, and what was going on in ancient Azlant.

Speaking of finishing the tower/book. If we're leveling soon and have some downtime, I was thinking that Aenon would probably be interested in studying the language of the creatures we faced while he waits for his boat to finish up. (I'm planing to put a point in linguistics to grab Aboleth).
How do you want to do learning a language after player creation?Are there rules for it?
As written it just kinda happens when you put the rank in, but story wise I would allow you to acquire some books or something maybe there's something for you to find already ;) to facilitate the process.

Do we have a sense as to the time scale of all this. Particularly Deth is trying to parse exactly how long ago the shapeshifting prisoner was freed.

That was my gosl as well, but without the handouts, it’s a bit more difficult
What you know...
Rayland Arkley was the leader of the colonists, a decorated Eagle Knight, and a firm but fair commander. Inside his house, you found the charter and many of the names had check marks next to them. You also found the Azlanti pocket watch there as well. Hendrake's spellbook was also found hidden in his home.
From the note, you found it appears that sometime over 3 months ago there was some change that took place, Eliza leading one group and Rayland the other. Whatever events took place resulted in the entire population disappearing, leaving behind almost everything of value.
Of the approximately 50 original colonists you have found the remains of at least 4-5.
From conversing with the spirit of Silas Weatherbee in the chapel, you suspect Rayland to have murdered his friend and the spirit will not rest until he knows "why?".
Apart from the scene of the Chapel, there were no clear signs of violence in the colony on your arrival.

Thanks for the update.
Deth will continue to question the survivors about their needs. Are they aquatic now? Particularly he is trying to determine the best means of moving them to the colony, after checking with Ramona of course. There is the morale of the colony to be considered in revealing that something here is conducting these horrible experiments and the survivors will be continual reminders of that fact.

Transporting them to the colony shouldn't be much of a problem. I can't remember if I ever managed to finish that boat(I'm pretty sure I've gotten the answer half a million times, but I just can't seem to recall), but if so it would probably make the problem pretty trivial. If not, Deth should have access to create water, so just walking back and showering them every couple of minutes probably wouldn't be much more difficult.

Yes, I do have Create Water loaded as an Orison. So I guess that mechanically it shouldn't be a problem. I just know it will cause all sorts of morale problems however.

They've been transmogrified into some sort of half constructs. Perrel in particular is going to horrified by their fate and insist we leave before the same happens to us.

Eliza decides to explore tower. Shapeshifter released, takes her place and imprisons her here. Shapeshifter soon realizes that his purposes would be better served by taking Rayland's place. The thing that doesn't track is that assumes the shapeshifter was allied with the Skum. Maybe Eliza did something that she can't remember. Regardless, the shapeshifter as Rayland then proceeded to undermine the colony from within. The narrative only makes sense if there were two shapeshifters because Rayland and Eliza were both outside the tower dividing the group into two tribes while they were both inside the tower. They are each others alibi

Right... That kind of morale. I guess skinless former colonists probably won't be too helpful in calming the others down.
Good call on that Deth, definitely seems like something isn't adding up. Feel free to ask what you want, this is probably your best chance to figure out whats going on till book 2.

I apologize for my absence! I traveled to Washington D.C. with my department for police memorial week from Saturday to yesterday. I had planned on having much more time at my disposal than I actually did. I had essentially no free time during the past few days; in addition to that, while we were in D.C. one of our officers back home got into a shooting with a suspect (luckily he was not injured), so that just added even more to the hectic schedule. I am home now though and working on getting caught up!

Until we can figure out what is going on with Rayland, I think we should go ahead and take them back with us. Things to do
1) Take out the Ankheg nymphs outside before they grow up to be a threat.
2) Free the elemental
3) Bring back a trapsmith to disable that darn trap room.
4) Bury and have services for Nox's uncle. Although Deth will politely suggest to Nox that he might have one of the clerics cast Speak with Dead for closure (and information, but Deth won't be crass enough to admit that)
5) Form a task force to study this new magical technology and history this place represents.

I agree with Deth’s suggestions. Take them back, but quietly set up a watch on them, while we do what else needs doing.

Wish I could make it to Paizo con, was busy with one in Wichita. Unfortunately, we were involved in a traffic accident and while the damage was minor my wifes a bit shaken up right now. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding, I have not forgotten you!

Graveyard Keeper is like Stardew Valley except it's much darker. There's combat and farming like Stardew but it is def it's own thing.

You play a character who, after growing tired of city life, inherits a farm in the rural stardew valley. It’s a sort of Rpg/farming sim where you grow crops, raise animals, fish after broken glasses and fight endless hordes of monsters in an abandoned mine. When you’re done, you give whatever you’ve gathered to your neighbours in the hope that one of them will one day want to dance with you at the village spring dance.
