The dessicated elf's eyes dart between you all, landing finally on Ranor (assuming on the catwalk still even with the gross movement penalties for the ladder and everything). A large pendulum comes swinging from the tangle of chains and danglies right at Ranor!
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 vs touch AC HIT, al beit barely
1d8 ⇒ 3 damage

Ranor is not knocked from his perch on the catwalk and somehow avoids falling to the ground below!
Seeing another being getting close to the ladder, the elf sends a bunch of chains to lash at him and restrict his movement.

Fingalad continues reciting his poem as he draws back the drawstring on his bow and lets an arrow sail at the elf in the chains.

1d100 ⇒ 98
Fingalad manages to get a shot through the chains, dealing a little bit of damage.
Ranor then steps up and swings a powerful attack! The chains seems to grab at the flail, but they are unable to redirect the strength behind the blow. Light fortification, no where close to preventing the crit
Well shucks.
With the two powerful attacks, the elf twitches momentarily and slumps where he hangs.
With the distractions abated, you are able to check on the minotaur prince.
He is alive!
Nuar Spiritskin is grateful for your assistance and is quite confused as to how he came to be in the Tangle. Should you reveal that it was Grandmaster Torch’s doing, the Minotaur Prince laughs and declares, “That’s simply not possible, we are the best of friends!” and then refuses to listen to any more such talk. With the elf protector slain, it is a simple matter to extract Izryen’s Hourglass from the grand device above and let the Minotaur Prince lead you out of the maze and back to the surface.
[b]Thus concludes Delirium's Tangle! Thank you all for playing! After all that crap in the maze, it all seemed to end very suddenly. Sooo...[/ooc]

Dunkel, spotaneously now Mega-Dunkel, looks about the room for something hostile that needs to meet his oversized waraxe and kind of shrugs as the elf is brought down.
As he shrinks back to normal dwarf size, he elbows Kamda and gives a nod.
