As Marten steps into the room the Iron statue animates and moves to attack!
Niadroub guesses that yes it is magic.
Niadroub, Mouse & Zelera may act!

Mouse Sootscale |

Mouse feels an animated hulk of a suit of armor needs to be removed from the field as soon as possible. She doesn't know exactly how to do so given her tendency to seek vulnerable areas to attack.
Still she hurries forth with only minor hesitation, finding the back of a knee cap to stab into, a perfect place to bring a foe down if it was alive and fleshy inside the armor.

Niadroub Kliip |

Know. (arcana): 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (2) + 22 = 24
Having determined that the thing is magical, Niadroub Kliip can't be bothered to figure out what it is. Apparently.
He casts icy prison on the moving suit of armor.
I know that it won't affect the iron golem, but with that roll of 2, NK doesn't know that.

Marten Lebeda |

Marten moves into a blocking position and swings with Falling Leaf.
Like Niadroub, Marten doesn't know that this is an iron golem, and thus that he cannot damage it.

Mouse Sootscale |

she was a good character, I will miss her:)

Niadroub Kliip |

Know. (arcana): 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (6) + 22 = 28
"Oh," Niadroub Kliip says, rather intelligently.
He then explains that direct magic won't affect this iron golem and that it has heavy damage resistance unless you have adamantine weapons. Also, look out for it's noxious breath weapon.

Mouse Sootscale |

I did debate whether or not I should have her move, her not knowing anything about iron golems, but charging seemed appropriate. She didn't think she would be the only one charging forth though :(

Marten Lebeda |

Marten actually moved up to engage, I just didn't have time to move him on the map until now.
I didn't roll to attack because it's moot. He can't inflict enough damage to penetrate its DR.

Zelera |

Zelera was following along and thinking up her next prank to pull so she was a bit oblivious when the fighting started. When she saw what they were fighting her eyes widened in shock and realized she needed to do something before Mouse went splat! Zelera quickly cast a prayer for the Lantern King's blessing in this fight then moved in and to the side while drawing her dagger.
Gunoke, hearing the warning about magic not working on the golem, cursed as he knew there was little he could do against it. "I don't know if I can hurt this thing," Gunoke called out before he tried sending a telekinetic blast at the golem.
Telekinetic blast w/pbs/precS/IO/bless: 1d20 + 14 + 1 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 14 + 1 + 2 + 1 = 254d6 + 4 + 4 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (1, 3, 1, 6) + 4 + 4 + 1 + 4 = 24

GM_DBH |

Mouse & Gunoke both chip away at the Iron Golem.
It responds by swinging his large fists at the two in front of it.

random Mouse=1, Marten=2: 1d2 ⇒ 2
So 27 damage to Mouse. 54 damage to Marten. Not requiring a fort save for massive damage.
The party can now act!

Niadroub Kliip |

Niadroub Kliip, seeing the potential difficulty with this enemy, tries to give the party a little breathing space and casts hungry pit beneath the iron golem's feet.
Spending 1 arcane reservoir point to increase the spell's casting level by 2. Reflex 22 to negate.
If the iron golem somehow manages to avoid falling into the pit, Niadroub Kliip hollers, "Knoock heem een!"
Once the golem falls in, it takes falling damage for a 70 foot fall. For 15 rounds, it takes 4d6 points of bludgeoning damage, although additional reflex saves can halve that. Climb DC 35 to get out.

Niadroub Kliip |

Waffles digs out a flask of alchemist's fire from Niadroub Kliip's handy haversack. He flies it above the magical pit's opening and drops it in.
"Heads up!"

OK. the Golem is in the Pit for 7 rounds, what does everyone do while you have free shots?

Mouse Sootscale |

It's probably not within melee range, right? And also, THAT WAS AWESOME NIADROUP!!

Niadroub Kliip |

Cheating McCheaterson
It's immune to most magic and it's got 15/adamantine DR, and you're calling me a cheater?
THAT WAS AWESOME NIADROUP!!
Thank you! I'm pretty sure that it takes full damage from the fall, but I don't know if the pit opening and closing is affected by the golem's DR, though. It depends on if it's an attack or environmental damage. But I'm not paid enough to figure that out.
Waffles hovers over the pit, Niadroub Kliip's other (and last) jar of alchemist's fire held in its claws.
"Hey, you! Hey golem! Guess what! I just heard from Gorum! Know what he told me?"
Waffles drops the jar down the pit.
"He says you're FIRED!!!"

2nd round fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Marten Lebeda |

Crit fishing on Marten's one opening attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (17) + 16 = 33
Not a crit.
Marten takes the construct's hit hard and lets out a loud oof from the blow. He manages to struggle back to a guard position a few seconds later, but obviously it's a good thing that Niadroub had the right spell at the right time, because otherwise that thing would obviously have killed him.

Vibenia Scaeva |

Vibenia doesn't even realize she's holding her breath when she sees the massive construct land a blow on Marten that she can feel through the air, that is, until Naidroub's spell drops it down a deep hole, filled with the sound of grinding, crushing earth.
Reaching into her coat, she removes a patch, that seems to grow and morph in her hand, materializing into a full quiver. "Gunoake...it looks like those blasts you do always have something you use to throw at the things you hit right? Five of these arrows are adamantine... might help with breaking through that thing's resistance."
Handing them over to Zelera, she reaches into coat again, removing another patch that quickly grows into a bolt case. Setting it down, she takes out a few crossbow bolts, also made out of adamantine. "Might as well make the best of it while we can."
Withdrawnd from Adventurer's Greatcoat: A case containing five adamantine bolts, five cold iron bolts, and two silver bolts
A quiver containing five adamantine arrows, five cold iron arrows, and two silver arrows

Vibenia Scaeva |

Vibenia draws on the magic of nature, imbuing her crossbow with greater power as she walks over to the pit.
Cast Gravity bow, while loading an adamantine bolt.

Niadroub Kliip |

I don't want to sound whiny about this, but DBH has been asking us what we're doing while the golem is in the pit for at least four days, now. I think Vibenia and Gunoke should roll their attacks if they're going to do so while the golem is in the pit.

Mouse pulls out her crossbow and tries to help in the ending of this much needed to be ended creature but does little more than tickle it. As Niadroub tells them that the spell is close to ending, Mouse drops the ranged weapon and pulls her stinger, ready to get back to doing what she does best (or better at least).

I spent a round retrieving the adamantine equipment and another round enhancing my crossbow. Waited to see if anyone else was going to do anything during those rounds.

LaSt 2 shots are irrelevant since they won't pierce DR (actually last shot would do minor damage if it wasn't a miss)

Zelera |

Gunoke flew above the pit and began to rain a series of blasts down upon the trapped golem, staying well above it so that it would not be near it when the pit vanished.

GM_DBH |

Just to double check. Gunoke is using Adamantine for the focus of his blasts? If that's the case his 3rd blast ends the Golem. If not his 5th blast ends it.
The Golem slumps in the pit as it is destroyed, ironically by the smallest person here.
There is no loot in this room. Mouse easily spots the secret door, there are also two double doors leading out of this room.
What are you doing now?

Niadroub Kliip |

"WOOOOOW," Waffles exclaims as he flies over next to Gunoke. "First lifting the heavy boulders to get in this room, and now destroying an iron golem! It seems like us fey are the most useful guys here!"
When the golem is confirmed dead, Niadroub Kliip cancels the spell, allowing the wreckage to come back to the surface so that the party can retrieve any of the adamantine ammunition that survived, and to see if there's anything else of value from the golem.

Vibenia Scaeva |

As the pit levels out to even ground, littered with the crumpled heap of the iron golem, Vibenia sifts through the wreckage, managing to retrieve two of the adamantine bolts that missed.
