Updated update.
No additional submissions since the last update. The resubmissions are fine. Some of my "regular" PCs have sent submissions (to which I need to resolve, lest they think I'm forgetting them).
Per the question above, recruitment will close midnight Sunday/Monday night. It will probably take me a couple of days to juggle the groups into two tables so there may be a delay in the final announcements but I'll try and post some updates in the interim.

This is Black Dow's Unchained Monk - decided to go with Northlander Human after all, am playing 2 dwarves in other games and am a tad dvergr'd out :)
Feedback most welcome.
Will fire up a background and description later this evening (I'm on call and dealing with a few overseas operational issues so thought it prudent to get the crunch up).
Cheers

Updated update, less than an hour to go.

By my count we have 5 + 12 submissions (counting players, not characters) currently for 12 slots. Hmm.

So ... with 17 players interested, and all of them in my view viable submissions, I'm thinking of (in fact I'm pretty much definitely) adding yet another table, with the initial scenario being Atop the Warring Blasphemies, from the Midgard Tales anthology, set in the Wasted West:
Atop the Warring Blasphemies: In the Wasted West, goblin factions wage civil war atop two battling, time-slowed alien colossi. The captured PCs must attempt a daring escape through their cities and down the titanic bodies of the hideous Great Old Ones Gorthoga and Ashkharak.
If you have a yen for that one, let me know. However, I already have a view of who would slot where. It's probably not possible to get everyone into their preferred opening scenario but they're all good.
Should add, this additional table isn't the "reject" Team, the group I have in mind looks pretty interesting as well.
I should be able to post the proposed parties as soon as tomorrow. It will take me a week or so to review the detailed character sheets and to prep the respective campaigns (and I'm on vacation for 2 weeks in August, just to complicate things).
Thanks everyone for their submissions.
(note - any latecomers - this means there is an additional slot, if you're prepared to fit in with the requirements of the party in question)

OK, I'm in a bit late, but here's my submission. I could make a completely different character to fit in if necessary. I'm happy to play almost anything, but my preference tends to go towards arcane types and sneaky/personable types.
Erianthix is a dragonkin wizard. He was born in the Mharoti Empire, west of the Ruby Sea. His parents were both blacksmiths, although both would also serve as soldiers in the Empire's expansionistic military campaigns. When they bore a son, they hoped that he too would one day be a blacksmith and a soldier, and indeed when they detected his strong connection to elemental fire, they had promise. However, as he grew older, he didn't show much interest in either blacksmithing, or in matters regarding personal combat. He was only of average strength, and didn't show much talent for martial skills. However, his intellect was keen, and he was very curious about the world around him, and in particular about the nature of the arcane. Not knowing what to do with their misfit son, they eventually decided to send him off to Zobeck, to study at the Arcane Collegium. Erianthix prove to be headstrong, and whereas his instructors there tried to get him to focus on the schools of Illumination, Clockwork, and Divination, he spent more time studying elementalism, and in particular the elemental fire school of magic, enhancing his natural affinity. He is now just finished with his basic studies, ready to go out into the world as a beginning journeyman wizard adventurer.
Erianthix appears as a dragonkin with burnt orange scales. He stands slightly tall for his species, and is very proud of dragonkin. Although he was not of a marital bent himself, he's proud of his parents and what they can do. Together with his draconic appearance and stature, together with the flame that seems to burn just behind his eyes, he makes an imposing figure.

PM me if you have a concern/objection. The numbers indicate where I think there was a preference expressed for the table in question.
@rknop - this would place you at Table 3. The wizard is fine (it needs an arcane caster or a rogue, probably the former rather than the latter) but the Dragonkin slot for this table is taken (and I still want the Midgard races to be 1/group). I'll PM you offline about the options.

I've created a campaign from this thread and will open up the Discussion thread for Q&A and updates around the respective campaigns. Each table will, when we start, have its own campaign; once they're all up, I'll mark this one as inactive until/unless needed again, but we're a few weeks away from that.
I know there's a tendency on some of these campaigns to kick off pre-campaign RP in the discussion threads. Please don't. With 17 (hopefully 18) players it's going to be chaotic enough, thanks. Also, in terms of how the players meet, on some of the tables you won't have met before the campaign starts.

GM Shady |

I set up my profile. Please let me know if the format is satisfactory. I was hoping to get a little extra information on Atop the Warring Blasphemies in terms of region and basic background in order to get a handle on how Thule might have ended up there!
Hi - I suggest taking further questions to the Discussion thread (please dot there and also read the thread, in particular in terms of what I need next to review the profiles). As mentioned there - all three campaigns will actually start in Zobeck so you don't have to worry how to get to the Wasted West. Just how to end up in Zobeck beforehand.

Although.... With a clockwork alchemist, for variety I may go Illumination school instead.
Note Brintak is moving to a crypt breaker alchemist, we discovered on review that clockwork alchemist is from the Advanced Races book, which was excluded from the build guide at the start of this thread.
