So they still did little about the ac issue, but I like the fact they added Blessing of the Faithful (though I wish the bonus would scale up I understand why it doesn't). Very nice that the Blessing of the Faithful has no use limit, at least as it is written there, I hope it remains that way since you have to use a channel energy use to extend the effect beyond one round.
The change to the bonded holy symbol changes almost nothing really, just simplifies the wording and allows for enchanting it 2 levels earlier than a wizard can.
Just a shame it isn't actually in the faq/errata yet that I could see, can't wait.

Lots of good things come out of Cheliax....look at our singers! ;)
On a side note, all, please offer contingencies in your posts so as not to bog down gameplay.
For example, if you are attempting to discern the school of magic, say something like this:
Tal narrows in his focus with detect magic, trying to determine which school of magic is coming from the pile of paper. Once he figures it out, he bends down to retrieve the objects, taking care to look for any potential traps as he does so.
Perception:1d20 ⇒ 10
As you probably noticed, I did not roll a Perception check for you in the Gameplay thread. This is because I knew you weren't going to go boom. :)
I like the RP going on! To echo Painlord, Always be pushing. Get your role-playing done, but let's continue the exploration, as well. No reason why you guys can't be discussing these things while you open doors. ;)
So, we're approaching 2,000 posts already, so good job everyone! Just wanted to check in and ask:
Is the game alright so far?
Anything you'd like to see tweaked?
Anything you completely dislike?
Anything you really like?
Your feedback is appreciated!
Here's a little feedback of mine:
Remember to post contingencies, instead of waiting.
Delendir has been outstanding, taking the lead in the Catacombs of Wrath. Less outstanding is the fact he had to take the lead, since nobody else wanted to really push the action.
Don't get bogged down in non-encounter moments. I think one of the main killers of PbP's (beyond the normal attrition rate) is NPC interaction. Try to ask multiple questions per post, and keep it moving.
You guys are a great group. It's been a pleasure so far to run this game for you.
All the postings occur right when I have to go sleep so it's either stay up and be tired later or go to sleep and miss a bunch of stuff lol (do not take this statement seriously)

Yeah, this is a real bad fault of mine, will work on that from now on.

Damn 2000 already and we are only level 2 :P.
I like the game. It is one of the most active ones I have and a ton of posts comes in with only interactions between characters. Props for the players and GM who keep this so active! It is a very rare sight in pbp.
We got quite the interesting make up of personalities in the group and it seems to work pretty well so far. I hope the characters can get closer to each other as well as the game progresses in that there is character growth.
I feel we have gone a little slow in the progress between events and I wouldn't mind a bit of a quicker pace (otherwise we never even finish book one ;) ), and Crispy's suggestion should bring us to just that.
I also wake up with a lot of posts from other players (gmt+1 here) and have to do a little catch up each time something big happens.
I would have liked some more goblin craziness, but I'm sure we will get to that ;).

I am having a great time so far and hope to continue to do so. I can't think of anything to tweak right now, but that is always subject to change. I agree, most of us need to be better at urging the events forward on occasion, I'm just as bad as most of the rest of us about that.
I have found the character interactions to be great, there is a lot of flavor to them and everyone is doing a wonderful job of bringing them to life.

Thanks for the words Cris :)
I am also having fun and I guess we are doing good. It is so far my most successful game.
If you sort out the Play-by-post forum you will see we are one of the most youngest threads in the 2000 range.
Only thing I see it can improve is turns confusion. It becomes difficult to advance your post when others actions coming afterwards may invalidate your post. I think taking into account players may delay to each other without much consequences, it may help keeping track of the encounters that actions happen in the posting order rather than initiative order.
And about player interaction and GM work and descriptions, well the game it's just outstanding, I am very happy I ended up here ^_^

I would mind room descriptions in bold or a larger font to distinguish them from the rest of the text. I admit I'm getting a little lost as we move from room to room. The map helps but clear descriptions would help more.
Beyond that, I love this game and am pleased as punch I was invited to take part in it.
As for posting order, et cetera, I do it that way for a couple of reasons:
1) Realism. Combat is a chaotic melee, and people who don't really know each other will screw up and get in each other's way, interfere with unmentioned plans, you get the drift.
2) Speed. Not waiting for each person in the initiative order to take their turn before you take yours speeds up combat.
3) Fairness. If Tal is at 1 + gmt, he will likely always be last to the party, and might miss out on combats entirely if the rest of you perform efficiently.
However, there's no sense asking for criticism if you aren't willing to talk it over. What about the rest of you? Would you rather me take it first come, first serve in the initiative block? Just yes or no, please.
Also, it seems as though Paizo ate my post this morning. What a b~*. I'll have another up in a little while.
Edit: Noted, Grace. I will try to remember to do so. Glad you're enjoying it. :)
I'm happy with how things are going so far. I'm currently not happy with my own activity (regardless as to how everyone else feels about it, I don't believe I'm holding up to my personal standards), so I'll work on that a little more myself.
Anyway, I love the blend of personalities that we have, and its been a joy to be involved with such a quality team of players/posters.

Nah, best one of you use it in conjunction with a shield in case we need a tanky ;).
Melee weapons are useless on tal with his str and base attack bonus. He doesn't want to get into melee anyway. I will support you from a safe distance from any monsters ;).

Oh! That's cool idea!
You can use one of our cloaks or something like that, perhaps my sling bullets bag to go and catch the objects.
That "nonmagical" is very obfuscated, I think they should also say word on the spell description of such important remark. Also it seems a bit stupid limitation for such an already situational spell.

All...for saves I ask you to roll please only post the save roll in that post. It can seem as if you are cherry-picking if you post two rolls in the same post back-to-back, and one of them is good and one is not.
And just to belay argument, no Tal, I am not accusing you of anything...the high roll was first.

Actually Grace, if the effect is non instantaneous you don't need to be playing countersong when the effect is cast. You can countersong After, while the shriek is already working, and the countersong works exactly same.
One of the most powerful abilities as much as misunderstood and misused bard abilities ;-)
True enough, on the spell's caster level and damage...but that brings up another point I've been trying to remember to discuss.
Tal...we're either going to start having Niska give you daily requests, or you going to have to lose one of those traits. Actually, considering the amount of time you'll be spending away from Sandpoint in future books, I'm thinking of going ahead and just requesting that, anyway.
Unless you just want us to have a blanket request from Niska to 'be safe and not get into any trouble', and you make the Will save each morning to avoid the -2 penalty.
I thought we were going to stay in and around Sandpoint for a long time. And I always would have liked to increase the relationship between Niska and me.
I don't mind trading it with another one if you wish for a drawback to come in more often. The vain trait speaks to Tal's personality as well and should come around often enough...
