Hence why I said 'certain' traps. Just a warning, like I said. You won't be fighting stupid goblins forever, and future enemies might know of a certain elf wizard with a scorpion familiar.
@Elisai, you remember that Vicount, don't you? The one who thought he could handle both of us? Poor thing. He said he was always ready, too.
Ah yes, how could I forgot the man with a rather large opinion of his own importance and experience. Sadly, I don't remember him showing much of it, he rolled over quickly enough.
Ok, so another question now. Are you guys foregoing rolls and just moving through the dungeon with a constant 19 perception and 8 stealth in effect? Sure makes things easier on me...just making sure.

Sorry the mod of 19 is for stealth, 8 is perception. It won't notice all the traps or secrets I guess but will spot enemies.
And agreed. Once more fearsome foes come I will see what the best course of action is. I love improved familiars so will probably get a sprite when possible and something else later.

I think that's a good way to go in PbP Crispy.
Perhaps you can give us also some descriptions of places we are going through, and if we find something we want to check further or approach stealthier, we can always give the roll for that moment.
But in general, yes, I think moving around with take 10 is a good approach.
I think Tal is confused. The Party's (not the scorpion) passive Perception and Stealth are 19 & 8, respectively.
Delendir, unfortunately I'm not cool with that. Taking average, except when you think it might miss things, seems kind of like taking the best of both worlds, don't you think?
We'll make this compromise. You can roll around with the passive 19 in Perception to look for traps/not be surprised, but roll to search rooms.

Yes, that's cool Cris. The idea is just to easy things so we can move smooth without you having to wait for us to decide where we want to check all the time.
And yes, Ghina is my animal companion! I added an 'h' because Gina was already taken for creating her a profile :P

Hmmm. Pathfinder/D&D is often so focused on giving darkvision or low-light or blindsight abilities, I wonder if there's a spell or magic item out there that, instead, projects light that only shines for designated targets?

A little webcomic called Mysteries of the Arcana. I'm proud to say we just put our first two books up for sale - digital trade editions of the first two chapters. The whole process was wonderful and nerve-wracking at the same time.
If you're 40 ft behind Delendir, and move up 30 ft, you'll still be 10 ft behind him at the end of your move, or pretty much on the western fringe of black on the map. That puts a solid wall between you and the creature.

Never mind. Reread and did the math in my head. The beastie is about 40 feet ahead of where I'll be. Just out of range. Yes. Changed my action so I am goog total defense for this round.
And I totally misread the situation. When I looked for the map earlier there was a map of Sandpoint and not the dungeon. Sorry. Sorry

By error, I posted with my GM alias before (just by use I guess :P). I changed the alias to Delendir for the post, but it marked GM Rutseg as being a character of the AP nevertheless.
Can you set it as a non-active NPC so the AP stops appearing in Rutseg's active campaigns?
Sorry!
The system they follow is cumbersome, it should be easier to fix those posting errors without bothering the GM :(
Elisai, I prefer everyone to post when they can, as opposed to waiting for everyone else. I tend to not resolve things until everyone has posted...initiative is there to bring order from chaos, but really everything is happening at roughly the same time. Unless you guys get into a good rhythm together, or shout out instructions, you're bound more or less to screw up and get in each others' way or post redundant actions.
If I feel its very important, I'll give you a cue to respond to, otherwise I'll try to take a 'best resolution' standpoint if someone else's action would interfere with your own.
I don't want people waiting to post for a couple of reasons:
1) As stated above, it gives a bit more realism to things, since you guys don't exactly know what each other are doing.
2) We don't have to wait one by one for everyone in the initiative order to get done.
I'm just explaining my thought process, not trying to lecture...feel free to respond with questions/concerns.
No worries, just know some GMs personally hate people posting round actions slightly ahead of before the round ends, and wanted to check your personal preference.
I think I ended up submitting both R1 and R2 actions, although let me know if I missed something obvious within them.

I'm going to wait a bit to see how the monster is after that last couple of hits before I post. Bardic Performance is a precious commodity and I don't want to use all 10 rounds before we get to the quality. :)
I was going to keep scorpy with me. We're not the stealthy party anyway, so it scouting is kinda useless I'm afraid. Perhaps around level 5 with a sprite :). They are awesome scouts.

Was busy with an IRS auditor yesterday and today, so wasn't really proactively looking at the boards. So no new posts = no new DM posts. It was just as much my fault, sir.
