greetings =^^=
Cerenity
Fun and interesting times ahead =^^=
GM RePete
I do request everyone have a header for their character. I use this format myself.
It doesn't need to be elaborate, as long as you have the vitals on there, I'll be happy.
Cerenity
Is mine okay?
GM RePete
Is mine okay?
Yes. Using the spoiler is a nice touch.
Cerenity
copy cat copy cat, sitting on a door mat! =^^=
Lurio Jhaltero
Thank you again RePete for the selection and for bringing in the other part of our dynamic duo. I am super excited to see where this campaign goes and how all our interactions work out.
I used the header method you suggested since that is the one that I most commonly use anyways. I'm so excited to be Batman! LD
Luthor Aesernus
Very happy to be here with you all. Here's to a great rebellion!
Cerenity
and a successful one
Pakuzzo
You can try. ;P Good to be here, hello all.
How's my format? Also, GM RePete, do you want me to create a separate alias for my animal companion, or should I just include his actions in my own posts? I've seen it done both ways before, so it's your call.
GM RePete
Looks fine.
I would prefer a separate alias. Helps me separate the actions in my head.
Lurio Jhaltero
So I know Marillo and I have some background stuff together and I held back from trying to make more connections since we couldn't be sure who would get in.
What is everyone else's reason for being at the protest? Would anyone else be interested in knowing each other or at least knowing about one another? It isn't necessary of course but I find the more we wrap ourselves in the setting, the more fun it'll be.
Lurio is a nobleman who is known to go enjoy himself at the seedier, rougher parts of town. A silly and goofy man to a degree, he only seems to get vicious when the rulers of Kintargo are mentioned.
I had his reasons to protest being that he is a concerned citizen and wants his voice heard! I believe Marillo was going to try and ensure his friend didn't end up eaten by dogs. :P
Gah! I'm super excited for this! Marillo and I have been sending messages of excitement for this game for awhile now. I swear I'll stop rambling soon.
Metronicus Crady, the Bum Sage
From out of a trash heap, Metronicus Crady rolls out into the bright morning.
Stretching, the urban druid yawns, "Awhhwh! What I miss?"
GM RePete
Feel free to work out your details prior to diving in.
When you do join the protest, if a generic smiley citizen is in your way, just move them. :-P
Cerenity
Cerenity is quite... odd. Kasatha. She was a former member of the military. she even still has ceremonial officer wear. She is meeting a contact at the protest

What does the SM mean?
Pakuzzo
From out of a trash heap, Metronicus Crady rolls out into the bright morning.
Stretching, the urban druid yawns, "Awhhwh! What I miss?"
Pakuzzo hangs crouched from a balcony above the alley.
"Not soap, apparently. There's a protest on, friend, every voice is needed. Don't dawdle too long."
The tengu scrambles up the gridwork and leaps out of sight onto the roof. A large black shape casts its shadow over the alleyway before disappearing with a loud 'caw'.
Metronicus Crady, the Bum Sage
Sense Motive, my friend.
Got it. Thanks.
Crady is hanging out at the fountain across the street from the protest, with his wooden bowl out for panhandling. You never know. I might get a couple coppers out of this.| Pakuzzo |
Just a heads up, I'm leaving for work in a few minutes, but I will be back to continue at 10:00 pm CST tonight.
Metronicus Crady, the Bum Sage
Crady looks up in awe of the exiting tengu. The urban druid has held a long held belief that tengu, who thrive in Kintargo, are really powerful city spirits. In the past, Metronicus has found tengu don't like being referred to as spirits, and will not make the same mistake twice.
With a smile crossing his face, Crady races the streets, hoping to follow the tengu to his destination.
GM RePete
Crady, are you meaning to post in the gameplay thread?
I'm enjoying you either way, just in case...this is still the discussion tab. :-P
Marillo Sullus
Question to Crady: Do you hobo around Redroof? If so, Marillo will know of him. And given Marillo has renown for that area, your char probably have at least heard of my guy as well.
Metronicus Crady, the Bum Sage
GM Pete, no. Just working on what Pakuzzo wrote.
Marillo, Crady has walked all of Kintargo's lovely streets, he has definitely being in the Redroof area.
Luthor Aesernus
Metronicus, explanation of why Luthor was hiding from you the other day is forthcoming, just need to clear something with Pakuzzo first.
Metronicus Crady, the Bum Sage
Crady IS kind of strange. No real explanation needed more that that. The urban druid knows he not everyone's cup of tea.
Lurio Jhaltero
Crady will likely know of Lurio then as well. The nobleman has probably even left a gold piece or two in the man's bowl or shared a drink with him. He is quite the friendly nobility with the lower classes, fits for being a Jhaltero though. They're all about information.
Cerenity
Well. Night folks. 00:45.
Hope to engage a bit more in morning. And i hope you all enjoy Cerenity =^^=

That is a curious relationship. I'm sure Lurio might have heard Crady's "crazy" theories on urban spirits and such.
Cerenity
I just need to check. Would she be allowed to ware her weapons? Since she is waring Chelaxian armour =^^=
Would other armors, in the future, be allowed to get the same bonus if improved?

@Metronicus - Indeed it would've. Lurio would be the just, peaceable type. If the Bum Sage was a bit too smelly, he'd happily walk him to the public baths and pay for a few girls (and likely one very strong man) to ensure the druid was washed.
So Pakuzzo's player contacted me and I realized that my alignments were still very much out of whack for being a Vigilante. I updated them to show the change within them.
When he is Lurio, he tends to very much be a mediator. He is stirred to anger now at the protest but even still, he doesn't advocate violence or a riot. He demands proper representation, voting, a sense to the madness that has been House Thrune's chosen emissary. He most of all wants the violence and pain to stop, feeling responsible as a nobleman of Kintargo.
After the inevitable s!~&storm (which I'm excited about) that will occur here, it will give birth to the Rose Hawk. Rose Hawk is definitely chaotic good and is very much a vigilante. House Thrune must be held responsible for their crimes and he will make sure of it even if he has to cut through each and every one of them. Same for the gangs that frequent through Kintargo. His diplomatic sense seems to disappear and he becomes far more a thing of intimidation and righteous vengeance.
I am hoping the events at the protest will be traumatizing enough to cause this split, this change in mentality. Lurio will finally hit that point where there is enough talk, it is time to put things to action.
So far though, I've been having an amazing time with the roleplay and am really enjoying myself with it. I look forward to the shenanigans we end up falling into.
Cerenity
All looks like a lot of fun. Hope i add to it by being from the police previously =^^= not to mention her race and eventually her PrC

Yeah, sorry to stick my nose in. I've been reading everyone's backgrounds to understand their characters and alignment stuff tends to jump out at me. It comes from having read damn near every archetype entry at Archives of Nethys and D20pfsrd over the past couple years while coming up with characters. By the same token if you see me screw up a roll or anything, let me know, I can be pretty weak at on-the-fly mathematics.
Lurio Jhaltero
Don't be! It gave me excellent reason to read up on Pathfinder's outlook on Alignments and what means what and some of the archetypes that they have written within them. I found it very enlightening and it helped set up the two different personalities more and gave them a stronger individuality. :D
GM RePete
@Cerenity Currently they aren't going to give any of you much hassle for having your weapons with you. Though it may be seen as odd that one could come to a protest armed, this is in the same time period of pathfinders... they are used to seeing adventurers around.
Regarding alignments, I'll have to see if I can find it again. I had stumbled across a document that really helped me with my understanding of them a couple years back.
Luthor Aesernus
Pakuzzo also contacted me about an alignment issue, it's fixed now. Note that Luthor's lawful side has much more to do with philosophy and ethics than actual personality, as he tends to be rather impulsive.
Also, I've worked with Pakuzzo to come up with the story behind Luthor tagging along, you can find it in on this alias's page on Paizo in the background section.
GM RePete
Looks good Luthor.
I'm enjoying the tie ins you guys have between the characters and loving the back and forth.
We have a noble, an ex-military man, a bum, and a crow with a pest (raven) as a pet for starters. You guys are giving me so much to play with in your characters... It's great!
Metronicus Crady, the Bum Sage
Crady, I moved your icon to the fountain on the map.
Thanks. I was posting on my ipad yesterday, which is not conducive to multitasking.
Pakuzzo
Alignments can be tricky, but it's mostly about interpretation. I initially wanted Pakuzzo to be a Chaotic Good revolutionary, a read fight-for-the-little-guy type of anarchist, but hunters have be at least partially Neutral. He didn't seem the type to be Neutral or Neutral Good, so I settled on Chaotic Neutral. He's still a revolutionary, but now his motivations are more about his own ego and personal offense at anyone who would dictate how he lives his life; he helps other revolutionaries, but it has less to do with their well-being and more because he believes in the power of numbers.
GM RePete
I know the aggravation that can arise while one waits on someone else to post for turn based combat. I'm not worried about that. Post when you can your actions for this round. I'll summarize the round when it ends before the next round.
Example: Luthor is online right now and won't have a chance to get back on before tomorrow afternoon....go ahead and post. If something happens before it becomes Luthor's turn, I'll attempt to tweak his action in a minor way to allow his desires to be followed. If something major changes, he would be given the opportunity to retroactively alter.
If you have a contingent based item, I request you put it in a spoiler. A huge example is in regards to swashbucklers (which we don't have here) or someone trying to interrupt a spell caster.
Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
