Thanks for the confirmation Crady. :-D
Sorry for my lack of post today guys. Been a hell of a day. My wife runs a bar and has an event Saturday with possibility of 3000 people showing up so I spend the last 12 hours helping her get this set up.
Will get a post up tomorrow.
GM RePete
Been a long day and I get to start training a new person tomorrow morning. Not a fan of training people... Just get tired of wasting my time and energy on people that can't handle the job....
Anyway....Something you should consider. Lurio hasn't posted since March 26th. From what I can find, his last post under any alias was the first week of April. I've sent him a PM inquiring on his status with no response.
Do we want to try to replace him? Or go on with just the 5 of you for a while and see if he finds his way back?
Metronicus Crady, the Bum Sage
Tough call. If replacing him will be quick, let's do it. If not, carry on without him.
Pakuzzo
I'd be willing to give him to the 26th of April, or even to the end of the month to get back. Otherwise I'd prefer to try for a replacement after we finish the current day's missions.
Metronicus Crady, the Bum Sage
I like him as a player and a person. I'd prefer to give him some more time
Yes. I really liked his character. He did a great job of making a urban druid feel welcomed.

Agreed. So seems general consensus is wait for now and hope for his return. With still having 5, that's not an issue. I'll likely have him become less visible/active for the time being and see how things go.

Luthor, I like your plan on demoralizing the guards. I was thinking of doing something similar at lvl 4. Stealth up to a guard. 1 ki point for +1 attack, do a double backstab (2 attacks, each doing 3d8+4 damage), then using a second ki point to go invisible and running like hell. Pretty much murdering one guard and vanishing without a trace.
But your plan on getting them to attack each other, and making it look like a spirit is doing it? Brilliant use of your powers at this level. Though we should be ready for when Thrune starts bringing in clerics and mages to deal with this 'supernatural' threat.
Luthor Aesernus
Thanks Marillo! We might even be able to combine our two strategies. See a demon fox? Somebody's about to die... If we pull this off a couple of times pretty soon word will start getting around, and it won't take a genius to connect the dots between the two-tailed fox spirit who drives the agents of Thrune insane and the two-tailed fox spirit that occasionally visits the bereaved children of Thrune's enemies in Old Kintargo.
Lol, it'll be hilarious to watch the clerics/mages try to cast spells that only affect fey/demons or whatever they think I am. Let's see if these guys are smart enough to run at me instead of just trying to hold back which ever one's mind has been overthrown. If I'm lucky they'll all just end up standing there pointing their weapons at each other, wondering which one of them will be affected next!

Question for GM:
I asked in the rules forum, and the only thing they could come up with was the GM decides. Can someone make an intimidate check at the same time that they cast a spell and get a bonus of some sort from that spell? For example, Luthor's haunted-fey aspect is expiring and he needs to cast it again to renew it, but I'd like to make an intimidate check with it at the same time. Sadly, the intimidate rules RAW are quite inflexible and baring any situational modifiers or bonuses from the spell, Luthor would be making the check at a -4 penalty (-2 total) due to his size. And then there's the issue of action economy.
GM RePete
There are feats that allow you to intimidate as a free action I believe they are along the power attack tree.
Granted that's in regards to attempts at demoralizing foes. Demoralize on its own is a standard action.
What are you hoping to accomplish with your intimidate? (I am well versed in the demoralize stuff because I have a society character built around it)
Luthor Aesernus
I've heard of the power attack intimidate combo, but Luthor is obviously of a different theme. I'd like to make an action, standard or full-round doesn't matter to me, where Luthor will recast Haunted Fey Aspect and make an intimidate check at the same time, using the spell to aid in the check (people make handle animal checks at little foxes, while an angry supernatural one would be cause for pause). The intent is to make them feel threatened enough that they back off. Not necessarily running for cover as per the frightened condition, but more like making self-preservation motivated withdrawal. Mechanically, that might include the shaken condition like a demoralize check, but the written rules don't really provide for this so far as I am aware.
GM RePete
Sorry for delay, thought I'd posted this already.
I'll allow it. I don't see a reason a fox wouldn't be able to at least growl after doing something.
I can handle any modifiers required on it.
Luthor Aesernus
A three.
XD
Well, maybe he coughed mid-screech. If anybody wants to know what a screeching fox sounds like feel free to google it. It's kinda terrifying even without being drawn out...
Luthor Aesernus
Just to clarify, murderous command only lasts one round; any attacks after that are due to misunderstanding between the attacker and whoever got bashed over the head.
GM RePete
Helping run a local PFS con this weekend.
Might be MIA till Monday.
GM RePete
Thank you for your patience. It was a long and grueling weekend. However, I have returned!
GM RePete
My post is going to be delayed a couple hours tonight.
Just became the lucky winner of an 18hr shift starting in 4 hours so grabbing myself a quick nap.
Weeeee
Luthor Aesernus
Yeah I don't speak infernal, which come to think of it is a bit of an oversight. I'll have to fix that.
GM RePete
Just a heads up, been without Internet since 2300 last night. Hoping it gets back up soon.
If it comes down to it, I can make a post from my phone.
GM RePete
Just a heads up. Still no internet. Will probably wait till I'm at work in the morning to post.
Marillo Sullus
Heads up:
I'm in the National Guard, field artillery. Because of a 'soldier shortage', I have apparently 'volunteered' for extra duty. As such I'll be away for training from May 22nd to June 13th. I know from experience that for roughly 1 week of that time I'll have no internet connection (being in the desert tends to do that). That said, I'll do all I can to remain as active as possible.
GM RePete
Pakuzzo, I've been meaning to mention this, but keep forgetting. Nat 1 and Nat 20 (crit miss and fail) don't function that way on skill checks, barring special situations.
Therefore your DC 10 handle animal with a +9, you can't fail the DC (even with a nat 1). Feel free to change Vinz action.
I double checked in the PRD attempting to prove myself wrong, but the only place I'm seeing crit fail/hit rules in in combat section.
Pakuzzo
Sorry, I did not realize that. I'll change that right away.
Speaking of forgetting things, I've just realized that after the last encounter with the alligator and the dire corby, I forgot to heal both Pakuzzo and Vinz, leaving Pakuzzo with 6/16 hp (which would now be 7/16 hp for a nights rest) and Vinz with 3/15 hp (again, now 4/15).
This is especially stupid because Pakuzzo would have been able to cast Cure Light Wounds three consecutive times during the downtime immediately following that battle. As a player I can see how I could have forgotten, but story-wise there's no logical reason my character would have been walking around with open wounds if all he had to do was take a minute to cast a spell. And without healing, there's no way Pakuzzo would let Vinz attack right now at only 4 hp.
Can I ask if I can roll three castings of CLW right now to represent the healing they would have undergone?
GM RePete
Lol! I didn't see that either. Personally, I regularly walk around hemorraging blood IRL...
Yeah, I have no qualms believing you would have cast CLW on yourself at least prior to sleeping. Go ahead.
Pakuzzo
Thanks. ( ̄ー ̄)b
For Vinz first (always take care of the companion):
Cure Light Wounds (CL: 2): 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Next, for Pakuzzo:
Cure Light Wounds (CL: 2): 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
And, seeing how that last one was such a success, Pakuzzo would have cast the last one back on Vinz:
Cure Light Wounds (CL: 2): 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
So Pakuzzo should now be 16/16 hp, and Vinz would now be 13/15 hp.

Did we move up to level 3? I thought stone call was a level 2 spell (And a very useful one at that, I had a level 4 wizard decimate an entire pack of 25 Gnoll's with it once.)
GM RePete
I completely missed that being a level 2 spell when I looked it up for the radius and such.
Crady, if you want to switch to a different spell you are free to do so.
However, since I completely missed it myself I am willing to let it go this time. Could be thematically something like...
Seeing the nasty buggers decimate her downtrodden, the city of Kintargo welled up so much rage, she had to release it somewhere. Spying her chosen sage fighting back, she granted him but a fraction of her power to show the fey their antics are not welcome in this city!
By the way, all the fairies are still up. Including the elusive invisible one.
Metronicus Crady, the Bum Sage
I am sorry. I thought that was a level 1 spell. My mistake. I will try something else.
GM RePete
No worries. Mistakes happen.
Yes to entangle question. Plenty of weeds growing through the cracks in pavement and such here.

Luthor is taken aback by the sudden aggressiveness of the weeds, casting a glance over at Crady. That old codger was full of tricks.
Old codger? He's younger than you are?!?!
Luthor Aesernus
Lol, I should have looked at your stat sheet, I guess I took the word sage and assumed Crady had a few more years behind him.
Metronicus Crady, the Bum Sage
It's okay. It could be said that living on the street ages you.
Metronicus Crady, the Bum Sage
With all these people losing teeth, Crady is considering a change in vocation from 'city guide' to 'dentist'.
GM RePete
Take care Marillo. See you when you get back.

Just a heads up. There may be not post from me Thurs/Friday (June 1st and June 2nd) this week. I will try to get one up, but can't guarantee it.
I have a funeral in another state to attend, so I'll be traveling on Thursday.
Metronicus Crady, the Bum Sage
Sorry for your loss.
Pakuzzo
We understand. You have my condolences as well.
Luthor Aesernus
Always sad when someone close to you passes. Sorry you have to go through that.
GM RePete
Been having issues accessing the site.
Hopefully will get a post up this evening.
