Solrisa keeps pressing the attack at the doorway, lunging forward, then back. Forward, then back. Eri shoots wildly, once, through the doorway, daring the doppelganger to move forward into his fire, a slow smirk passing across his features. Ascaria soaks up wounds like a sponge, before he wrings out more healing. Hourpen remains steadfast in his rear duties. Tynan comes to his senses... for now... Mortimer tries to push the doppelganger back, only to receive a deep gouge for his troubles.
The doppelganger holds the door, readying a swing. Eligos turns towards the doorway at the rear, then back at you all. "If you'll wait here, I'll just go fetch a friend. Unfair for Tamral to do this alone."
He departs through the back doorway. Moments later, you hear a roar coming from the darkness beyond.

Round 7, Init 14
Hourpen casts arcane mark, drawing a line at the edge of the blistering heat of the wall. He chants softly, letting what he says move among the message spell to everyone.
"Something there is that fire of a wall,
That sends forth the waves of heat from it,
And spills the sweat of those near, like the sun;
And makes us gasp, even the tallest struggle to pass.
The work of magic is another thing:
I have come after them and gotten stopped
Where they have left this wall, flaming among the stone,
But they would be like the rabbits, out of hiding,
Give chase you yelping dogs. Through flames I mean,
I have not seen them made or heard them made,
But at a pause for mending- I hope we find them there.
I let my fellows know that their hurt is seen;

Solrisa draws deep blood-filled creases in the doppelganger's side, while Eri tries to pull his bow at least once. Ascaria slips the sword from the doppelganger's hand, a look of surprise flashing across its formless face. Hourpen rises to bard-like levels, performing a poem while the fight rages through the continuing wall of fire. Tynan slips beneath the waves of confusion, bringing another self-inflicted wound to bear upon his frame. Mortimer triggers the creature's readied action, before he attempts to see the thing dead. Alas, the mixture of the doppelganger's arms flailing from losing its blade, and the doorway, prevents the giant from fell work.

Feeling strongly the party should flee, he very nearly suggests it, but cannot as it would most assuredly kill the child so long as the wall of fire remains in effect. He considers his scrolls and potions. He considers his magics and smiles. Finally, he comes to a decision.
”We cannot escape, with the girl, while that wall is in place. I think I can get her through it, but the wall is large and we cannot move fast enough to avoid several rounds of it's damage. We must fight, and die, here.”
Ascaria channels one more time for the front liners. He avoids healing any of the opposition he can see.

Solrisa moves to following the retreating dopplejerker, but then startles to see the new orc in the room with the icy blade.
Solrisa smiles, a bit of excitement pulsing in her heart, in her step.
He reminds me of someone...Angry. Yelly. Icy. Grumpy. Just like Rae!
Flowing the icy contrails with her eyes, Solrisa raises her blade and fire springs to life along the blade. She smiles at the orc, waiting his approach.
She invokes the Dragon to protect her and answers the orc's bluster with an inviting smile of her own.

The orc sniffs at the blood, almost lured into catching the heart as it flips through the air. He chokes up on his axe, hugging the wall as he advances on the maiden. "Your long hair will make it easier to hang your head from my wall."

Mortimer tries to grapple the orc, but fails to find purchase on the orc's naked upper body.

"I'll tell..." Solrisa's voice trails off as she doesn't have anyone to tell. She carefully storms off down the hallway looking for the mean Eligos. She doesn't want to play with Tynan right now.

Solrisa spins to look at Ascaria and realizes she walked further up to the mirrors than she thought. She returns to look at Ascaria.
"Sorry, what?" Solrisa asks with the smile returning to her face, lit by reds (from her flaming sword) and blues (the light at her waist). Solrisa looks at Ascaria and his healings.
"I can wait here for a minute or so, Ascaria," Solrisa says patiently, enjoying the interplay of colors. "But there are so many pretty mirrors this way..." Solrisa looks over at the mirrors, anxious to see herself will all the pretty lights in the mirrors.
"You know, we didn't have many mirrors when I was growing up. We used to have mirrors...but the mirrors used to accidentally break when Rae was alone with them. She said that they just broke and she didn't do anything and that's why we didn't have them growing up because they'd always break."
Solrisa waits, then looks anxiously at the mirrors and the sights within.
