Chapter Six: Crown of Fangs
Part Three: Legacy of Blood
Charisma Rerolls: A PC can spend a Harrow Point to reroll a Charisma-based check. She must abide by the new result (although if she has additional Harrow Points remaining, she can use them to attempt additional rerolls).
Destiny Shall Not Be Denied: A PC can spend a Harrow Point as an immediate action to force the GM to reroll a d20 roll. She must abide by the new result (although if she has additional Harrow Points remaining, she can use them to force additional rerolls).
Psychic Wrath: A PC with levels in a class that grants bonus spells based on her Charisma score can spend a Harrow Point to increase the power of a spell from that class’s spell list as she casts it. She increases the spell’s DC by 2 and gains a +4 bonus on caster level checks to overcome spell resistance and a +2 bonus on attack rolls for that spell.
Roll Card: Gain a +2 bonus on all Charisma-based checks. In addition, he treats his caster level as if it were 1 higher when casting spells gained from a class that grants bonus spells based on his Charisma score.
Marked down MW chain for me
Don't forget the harrow deck lets you cast identify three times per day.
There is the front room and side room on the first floor and the upstairs area on the second floor left to explore.

D'oh. Not used to having access to identify.
Ayako will watch over the prisoners while others search.
Let me know if you guys want to sell anything that you found. Or if you are keeping anything. All I have noted is Ayako is keeping the masterwork chainmail.
Does anyone want to volunteer to manage the treasure sheet and mark what you are selling?
I know Sebastian made comments about not stripping people of all their goods, so I'm not going to assume you are taking everything.
The most valuable items are the magic arrows, the cure moderate wounds potion, the magic silver dagger, and Verik's masterwork composite longbow.
we should have a new motto, No copper piece left behind! Not just coin and equipment, we should also take livestock, chairs, books, cutlery, curtains and more to sell. Sure it will be small change, but every copper counts!
Moo!
Col or Sebastion should have the healing potion. If any plan to use a bow they can take the arrows.

Sebastian should get the potion, I can heal with extracts. I' m for selling the dagger, bow, and arrows.
M Human Swashbuckler 12 | Init +9 | Percp +9 | HP 93/93 | AC 27| Fort +9, Ref +16, Wil +6 |
I'll gladly take the potion. I've suggested returning the dagger to Vimanda, but between the not looting and the ivory statue I'm liable to give away all our loot for "RP purposes", so I won't raise any issue with the dagger.
Selling the bow and arrows is fine with me. I would hate to deprive Sebastion of his statue.
Sebastian, not sure if you wanted to roleplay anything at your home or not. If so, you can start with you arriving home and whatever you do first there.
Since I don't see anyone saying otherwise, I'm going to say Sebastian is carrying the mysterious silver dagger for now.
Lol, Sebastion is getting mom'd
I'll ping Nadya
Was there anything else you guys wanted to do this night or should I advance to tomorrow?
Oh also, everyone gains 1050 XP.
You're new total should be 1884 XP.
Just short of 2nd level at 2000.
At first I said 3000 XP from the slow chart but I realized that's going to be too slow. So I'm using the normal xp chart instead.
M Human Investigator(Empiricist)/2, Init.+4, Percp.+9 (+10 vs. traps) HP 9/24, AC 17 Fort+2, Ref+7, Will+3
For now, I'll bot Nadya until she shows up. I PM'd her as well. I'll give her at least a few more days. I know real life happens.
For Col, Ayako, and Nadya, the Bank of Abadar or the Grand Cathedral of Pharasma would be good choices to take Nadya.
From the Three Rings Tavern: the Bank of Abadar is 5 minutes away; the Grand Cathedral of Pharama is a bit further at 1 hour and 10 minutes away. There are other churches if you don't like either of those choices as well.
Nadya, if you are around, you are not incapacitated and can certainly continue to participate.
For Sebastian, I need to update my map. I'll try to when I'm home tonight. But for now, the Orsini Academy is O3 on the map. If you want to stop by Palace Arkona, it's very close, O1 on the map.

Sorry all. Just a heavy week at work. Too much going on to plug in. I'll catch up on gameplay within next hour or so.
I'm for keeping everything and I'm ok with selling anything that we haven't already assigned to someone.
I think most of the APs are easier to level at particular points in the story. Not sure about this one. I'm ok with however you want to handle though.
Glad you're back Nadya.
As for the treasure, I don't mind just selling off the majority of what you find when you go selling. I don't want you guys failing behind of gold. For XP, I typically will give it out after you finish up an area. I gave some out after you finished the Old Fishery and then again after you finished the All the World's Meat. I may give some out at other points if it makes sense.

Col Avertin wrote: He reaches into his purse and pays the priest. Not sure if Col meant to be paying for the herbs or the remove disease. I'm kind of roleplaying Nadya the way I think she would react to the diagnosis. She could probably be talked into the remove disease, but she would insist on paying from her share.
I guess we posted at the same time. Let's say you paid the 150 to cure Nadya and Ishani will still give you the two doses of herbs. He wasn't lying. Col did catch Filth Fever and it will manifest in a day or so. So you can use that to boost his save. The cure on Nadya will remove both diseases. Ayako did not catch anything. You guys can decide how you want to split the payment of the spell. Since Naya lost 7 Dex, it will take 7 days to recover fully naturally.
F Samsaran Witch (Cartomancer) Init +3, Per +0 HP 22/22, AC 12/12/10 (mage armor 16/12/14), Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +4
I'll pay the 150 gp. I've got Dex harrow points to deal with some of the ramifications of that Dex adjustment. Eventually, we'll probably want a wand of lesser restoration.
M Human Investigator(Empiricist)/2, Init.+4, Percp.+9 (+10 vs. traps) HP 9/24, AC 17 Fort+2, Ref+7, Will+3
Sorry, reading it again I was a little vague. I like your solution. Col will not argue with Nadya if she wants to pay. Hopefully we're not coming back here in a couple of days.
Ayako's group: It's not even 7 am. Nadya is feeling much better and Col doesn't have any symptoms yet. You can spend the whole day resting if you want to, but you don't need to if there was something else you wanted to do as well.
Ayako will look after both of them for a bit. She doesn't really have any other place to go other than the Pharesma temple since that is her only real home.
You'll have at least another day to rest but if you don't have much else to do today, why don't you sell your stuff and get that over with, and I'll divide up the gold you each receive. You don't have to roleplay it out, but I'll pass by a few hours of the day to complete that task.
I added in that we should sell these items, imo
Heavy Steel Shield
Chainmail
Cow hammer(moo)
Lightcrossbow
Everyone ok with that?
F Samsaran Witch (Cartomancer) Init +3, Per +0 HP 22/22, AC 12/12/10 (mage armor 16/12/14), Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +4
I am definitely ok with that and with the plan for that to be what we spend the day doing. Nadya will buy a couple new dresses to replace the one that was destroyed yesterday.
The four of you each receive 526 gold, 7 silver, and 3 copper.
Goes mad with power I can buy anything!
I know the campaign says the pseudodragons are able fight the imps. But I'm just not able to wrap my head around how.
A pseudodragon's sting only does 1d3-2 damage and bite does 1d2-2 damage, meaning it cannot do more than 1 damage. An imp on the other hand has DR 5 which the pseudodragon cannot overcome, so the dragon is not able to do any damage to the imp. If it somehow manages to find a way to damage the imp, the imp has fast healing 2.
The pseudodragon's sting also has a poison that can put an enemy to sleep. But imps are immune to poison, making the pseudodragon's only offensive ability useless.
Imps also have an attack that deals damage and poison. The pseudodragons, however, lack DR or immunity to poison, so are affected by both.
So as far as I see it, the imps should be trouncing the pseudodragons, not the other way around. But I suppose I'll just GM hand-wave this and make it work somehow.

I'll try to have a post up tonight, bit it will be late. Big job interview, flying to New Jersey today and back tomorrow.
Good luck Sebastian. Job interviews are always nerve wracking.
The imp encounter is mostly filler to catch both groups up to similar timelines. (But it was an encounter written in the book to use). I don't want to start tomorrow with Sebastian still in yesterday. But everyone will have enough experience to level up to level 2 before the next mission, which is what I was hoping for. I'll give out the total amount when we get to the end of the day.
M Human Investigator(Empiricist)/2, Init.+4, Percp.+9 (+10 vs. traps) HP 9/24, AC 17 Fort+2, Ref+7, Will+3
DR5? Oh woe me and my 1d4 sling and sickle.
5/good or silver
Too bad Sebastian has the silver dagger. =)
M Human Investigator(Empiricist)/2, Init.+4, Percp.+9 (+10 vs. traps) HP 9/24, AC 17 Fort+2, Ref+7, Will+3
How about we throw down a handful of coins each and use it as a distraction to skeedadle?
M Human Investigator(Empiricist)/2, Init.+4, Percp.+9 (+10 vs. traps) HP 9/24, AC 17 Fort+2, Ref+7, Will+3
in all honesty our best bet might be to run.
I know Sebastian had that interview so I'll give him a little more time to post, otherwise I'll keep going.
In the meantime, there won't be any more encounters today, so everyone gains 400 XP and levels up to level 2.
New total should be 2,284 XP / 5,000 XP.
I prefer just doing average hit points at level ups, but if you'd prefer rolling, let me know.
M Human Investigator(Empiricist)/2, Init.+4, Percp.+9 (+10 vs. traps) HP 9/24, AC 17 Fort+2, Ref+7, Will+3
I'll take average and level up later.

Well pretty much whatever Sebastian says, the guards are going to turn him away from Palace Arkona at this point. The noble family is not taking visitors. So no need to drag it out. I will continue on to the next day.

Sorry for the radio silence, I'm back. Interview went well, I'll know the outcome before Thanksgiving.

Cool. Thanks for that post. I'm glad your interview went well.
