Emmett Escheus |
Hai!
Emmett Escheus |
"becareful! They seem to be luring us in. They must have something up their mInd..."
GM/Lictor Lane |
With her darkvision, Xianae can see the rough tunnel extends about 10 feet toward the back of the mansion before the right side of the tunnel becomes stone. 10 feet past that (or twenty feet from where Xianae now stands), there is an opening in the stone to the right. Still further, maybe 45 or 50 feet ahead, she can see the end of the tunnel. It appears to turn right again at that point. No goblins are visible in the tunnel.
Xianae |
With handing gripping on my weapon, I carefully poke my head around the corner to see if I can see any threats around the corner. If there are none I inform the others of what I have found. If there are any threats, then I will confront them and let my axe do the talking.
GM/Lictor Lane |
Xianae |
Seeing the wolf I call back to the others, "There's another talking Wolf here!" I then look back to the wolf and give a grin that shows I am ready for combat.
Initiative : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
I shall wait to see where I am in the combat before posting my action.
Emmett Escheus |
Emmett smiles to himself. It probably heard that... He makes sure his little friend stays in his sleeve and prepares a tiny flask of oil.
Initiative:: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Moondark |
I believe the GM rolls, but anything to move this game along...
Init 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
imagining i'm after Jo and before Wolfie.
A moment after Jo moves, Moondark pushes through to the other side of Xianae and leaning around the corner fires at the talking wolf, rolling her eyes as her shot shatters on the floor rather than in the ungentle giant in front of her.
Lt. crossbow 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 1 = 7
damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 shots: 15
I'm Jo |
Jo looks for any way to attack the wolf.
Will need GM's help here as I am not sure if there is a way for Jo to attack given the obviouosly restrictive nature of the passages.
GM/Lictor Lane |
Normally I will roll initiative, but wasn't sure what you all would do with the conditions so I'll take your rolls. Quick summary of what you can/can't do:
Jo: Can squeeze past Xianae to get to the wolf, but it will require Escape Artist and he won't be able to attack until Xianae backs up. Or can stay where you are. Or can squeeze past Xianae to one of the squares past Xianae with each square costing two squares of movement.
Moondark: Proposed move is legit, but dependent on Jo not moving into that square. Wolf would also benefit from cover and you would take a further negative due to the squeeze, but the one trumps everything.
Coran: Only character not squeezing. Can actually move past Xianae into the hole and attack without penalty, though probably not something he's want to do.
Xianae: Can advance to attack the "wolf" and will take -4 on attack rolls and on AC.
Everyone Else: Can probably extrapolate from there.
Enemies 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Byron 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Roman 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Round 1: Jo, Moondark, Coran, Byron, Roman, Emmett, Xianae, Enemies
I'm Jo |
Jo will attempt to move past Xianae to the opposite side of where she is. I assume that is an Escape Artist move also? Or Acrobatic?
Escape Artist - 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (8) - 4 = 4
Completely botching that attempt, he holds his position and readies an action to strike the Wolf if it comes within his range.
Emmett Escheus |
Emmett takes a look at the narrow passage, and opts to wait for things to clear up before moving forward.
GM/Lictor Lane |
Xianae, because of the squeezed condition, you do take a -4 on attacks and AC...but still hit! Now the flip side is that I believe that -4 to AC will also affect your CMD or at least you should lose your Dex bonus to CMD which means the wolf's trip works.
Xianae twists into the narrow space before the worg. Beyond in the room, she can see a little light filtering down from outdoors and believes she catches site of more movement in the room...probably more goblins. In spite of the tight confines, her blow strikes true, delivering a nasty cut to the wolf's muzzle. After recoiling for a moment, it snaps right back at her. The jaws close on Xianae's thigh and the giant wolf drags her to the ground. Behind the giant creature, you hear the sounds of gleeful laughter and a cry of "Bring her to us so we can burn her!"
Attack (Bite) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Damage (Bite) 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Trip 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Round 2: Jo, Moondark, Coran, Byron, Roman, Emmett, Xianae, Enemies
Roman, it seems reasonable to me to allow Liberation to allow you to act freely (for its duration). You can retcon any actions you want to take, but right now Xianae is effectively blocking the passage to the wolf.
Here is a map update. I can either push Jo to the north and leave Moondark just to the south or vice versa. Moondark's restricted movement will not allow her to get past Jo to the north this round.
Map Update
I'm Jo |
Jo will drop Rosebud and falling to his knees, reaching out to grapple Xianae.
CMB Roll? - 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
If he succeeds in grabbing Xianae he will try to pull her to safety while yelling at MoonDark "Lil'girl, shoot wolf! Shoot Wolf!!!
GM/Lictor Lane |
Yep, that would be a drag combat maneuver. Normally, you would drag her back 5 feet, but there is less than that available right now. Still you have gotten her away from the immediate opening. I will also allow that if Coran moves out of the way on his turn (back into the previous room or up past Moondark) that you can drag her into that square).
Jo grabs Xianae by the shoulders and pulls her away from the opening. Beyond the wolf you hear cries of disappointment, "Boo! He's ruining all of our fun!"
Moondark |
lost my dot. do I need to move anywhere? can't i just shoot over Jo?
Moondark blinks at Jo's strange tactics, but doesn't have to be told twice. She slams a bolt into place and aims for a wolf's eye.
Round 2
lt. crossbow 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 = 10
damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
boo, indeed.
