Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 55

GM Ladile |

Though Meredith's longspear *whiffs* past Orange as it darts away from her Frankie has better luck against Purple. He circles around and shanks the quickling in the thigh, eliciting a startled yelp of pain!
"Stupid dryad! Don't need your help anyway," Purple huffs, falling back a pace from Jan and Frankie before attempting to strike at the eidolon that hurt him so badly with dual shortswords...

Though Yorad is able to execute a rather impressive and graceful leap across the hedge and drop down behind Purple the quickling is, well...too quick, and the dagger strike aimed for his kidney misses. Meanwhile Denair manages to fight off the poison that must have been coating one of Purple's swords.
As the fiddling continues there also comes the sound of chanting and right about where Lazarus had pinpointed appears a creature that looks a heck of a lot like Seripan. Er, wait...actually, it looks like multiple creatures that look a lot like Seripan?
"Wha-HEY! You're giving nice grigs like me a bad a name!" Seripan bellows indignantly from the safety of Henbane's shoulder.

Though Lazarus is able to shrug off the stunning effect of the enemy grig's spell, Meredith isn't so lucky. Lazarus attempts to return fire against the casting, fiddling grig with a bit of magic of his own but the spell energy just sort of fizzles around his target, doing nothing. Frankie vs. Concealment (20%; Low is Bad): 1d100 ⇒ 98
Denair tries unsuccessfully to strike Orange and then falls to the mercy of the quickling's blades, dissipating into dust and leaving her summoner and friends to an uncertain fate. Angry and horrified by what's just happened Frankie takes his anger out on Purple, stabbing him yet again in the other thigh - this time driving the blade especially deep into the quickling's flesh!

Even with Frankie's superior defenses one of Purple's blades does manage to leave a superficial slash across his arm. The quickling then falls back into one of the nearby Blue Portals, emerging from the Red Portal just behind Lazarus. As he pops out of the portal he looks oddly queasy.
"Urk...so...slow...I feel sick..."
You recall that stepping through a Blue Portal slows a person down, at least briefly. Annoying but not harmful. But the quickling seems on the verge of being sick for the experience. Perhaps a Slow spell might produce a similar - or even stronger - result.
As the battle continues to rage on, Seripan begins pulling and tugging on Henbane's sleeve.
"Come on, they're in trouble! Aren't you going to help them!?"
"Hmm?" Henbane responds as she casually leans against a nearby building, staring up at the stars. "Help? That is not part of our arrangement, but it is a fascinating point of consideration. Unfortunately, it is difficult to hold a discussion over the noise of battle. Perhaps another time?"

"The little s&&! tried to nail me with lesser confusion! Can you imagine the insult? Lesser?!"
Sid pokes his head out of Lazarus's robes, pretty little red eyes streaming with tears of laughter and cute little nose and whiskers quivering with mirth. *Looks like your own magic isn't much better than the f@*@ing grasshopper's, Laz!*
Trying to ignore his familiar's taunts and to maintain his stoic composure, the ecclesitheurge points at Lil Frankie. "Francis, I bestow upon you the blessing of Desna's faithful. Stick him with your cold iron dagger, and don't miss. Don't let the homicidal maniac escape!"
A blessed ally gains a +2 sacred bonus on attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, or saving throws or to AC until the ecclesitheurge’s next turn.

Climb (DC 25): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
1d5 ⇒ 3
Lazarus manages to keep himself composed in spite of Sid's taunts and the relative ineffectiveness of his own magics and grants little Frankie the blessing of Desna's faithful.
From within the pit comes the sound of struggling as the Orange Quickling comes climbing out, hauling himself up and coming face-to-face with Frankie...

Damage: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
...but still can't manage to tag the quickling.

GM Ladile |

Now trying to work together in a concentrated effort to take down Orange Yorad attempts to keep the malevolent fey distracted while Frankie goes in for the kill. But the quickling is just too wily and dexterous, evading Frankie's dagger strike yet again.
"Oy! Um...I...I'm gonna go for help, I think!" Seripan calls out as she flutters off of Henbane's shoulder. "Try and hang in there, okay!?"

Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Though Orange does manage to nick Jan yet again with his blade it isn't enough to stop the Ulfen from booting him back into the pit. Meanwhile the grig falls back a pace from his attacker, adopting a defensive position as he tries casting yet again...
Hey-o, it's Lesser Confusion again!

Arcane Strike, Damage: 1d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 = 9

The air elemental tries to flank the grig.

5=Real
Meredith: 1d5 ⇒ 5
Airy: 1d5 ⇒ 1
Orange Climb (DC 25): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
As Lazarus begins summoning some extra help of his own Meredith unconsciously shrugs off the more dire effects of the grig's magic and steps up to attack...and manages to strike the grig himself! The little fey shrieks with pain and his fiddling emits a few screechy, discordant notes.
Then Airy steps up behind the creature, moving in to flank with Meredith. They also strike out at the grig and manage to juuuuust pop one of the swirling images!
Airy hits when accounting for flanking, which seems to work against the grig~
From down in the pit comes the sound of struggling and grunting, but this time the Orange Quickling fails to emerge...
"Kinda stuck at the moment!"

Frankie 'accidentally' kicks a wad of dirt down in the pit as he races up to help Meredith with the fiddler, cutting in front of her and under her spear.
"Dirty rat! You'll get it for all this trouble you've caused me kid!" He mumbles as he stabs at the grig and its doubles.
