Just got the CotCT hardcover, and I've always wanted to run this fantastic AP. Anyone out there always want to play it?

What I'm looking for:

* 4-5 players.

* I'm more interested in well-developed backgrounds and personalities than powerful builds. Unique characters are more fun than mighty ones, and it's nice to accommodate different skill levels among the party.

* Reasonably consistent posting - I won't be a total hardass about this, but nobody likes to delay a combat because someone is missing, or have to roleplay a conversation scene alone while the rest of the party stands around jangling the change in their pockets.

* Have fun! If you aren't having fun, if things are too fast or too slow, or if you have a problem with my GMing style or another player, let me know. We'll work something out.

Character creation rules:

* Ability scores - 15 point buy, start at level 1.

* Core races only, please.

* No evil characters.

* 2 traits, one of which must come from the CotCT Player's Guide and be written into your background.

* Starting wealth: max for class, plus 100GP worth of equipment.

* Two Background Skills.

* Official Paizo material only - I don't have access to 3rd party sourcebooks.

* Barbarian, Monk, Rogue, and Summoner use their Unchained versions.

Gameplay:

* Leveling will be determined by story progress, not XP, to reduce bookkeeping.

* HP: Max + Con for 1st level, 1/2 HD + 1 + Con for subsequent levels (so d6=4, d8=5, d10=6, d12=7)

* Maps will be hosted on Roll20.net

* I will create a spreadsheet on Google Docs to track party inventory

Addendum:

* Recruitment will close on 1/5/2017.

How long will this be open for recruitment? I would probably like to do an unchained rouge. Definitely would go human. And I might build towards the shadowdancer prestige class because they fascinate me. Not sure about the the background yet. That usually comes to me during the creation. But I do know I want my little rouge to be a very social creature.

Let's say 1 week, to give people time to think their characters over carefully.

Two questions:

1) I know Crimson Throne takes place in Korvosa (at least partially), but not if it stays there or not. How viable would you say the Vigilante is for this campaign?

2) When you say "standard for class" under starting gold, do you mean average starting gold, maximum starting gold, or roll for starting gold?

Awesome! I've been wanting to play Curse of the Crimson Throne ever since I encountered Pathfinder, but our group has never gotten round to it. I'll deffinitely apply - very tempted to go for either a halfling swashbuckler, bard or ranger of some sort or a gnome illusionist.

1) Mostly urban, but you will eventually leave the city. I'll allow a Vigilante, if you can come up with a good way to fit it in.

2) Let's go with Max. I'll update the top post.

Liberty's Edge

Hmm, core races only means that I might finally get my Dwarf Wizard up and running. Dotting, will think about it.
Also, I got spoilered with some parts of the AP (and I read the final book).
I know how to keep player knowledge and character knowledge separate, but I understand if that's a problem.

Tentative dot. Depending on recruitments I am already a part of.

Silver Crusade

Dood! Dotting with interest.

Hm. I am incredibly tempted to see if I can get in, as CotCT is something that really appeals to me... but I struggle with 15 point buy. Hm...

Well, if I do play, it will probably be as an elf cleric, oracle, or bard, though I am yet unsure which. Possibly as a wizard, though I'm less certain on that one.

It's one of the oldest APs, so I'm sure a lot of people will have some inkling of what happens in it. Not an issue if you can keep that knowledge from contaminating the game.

Besides, everything's flexible. A lot can happen over the course of six books to shift the story. Maybe the final boss is Mecha-Godzilla and you defeat him with the power of friendship.

I would play the hell out of that! Bring on the Mecha-Godzilla! Also this is an adventure path I do not know that much about actually.

A question: what year are you setting this AP in? I know that it's never actually specified, but I like putting dates in my backgrounds, so I can tie them to historical events if needed.

Winwaar wrote:

Let's say 4711, since it's the 2nd AP, they come twice a year, and that's when RotRL began.

Seems reasonable to me!

Dotting.

15 point buy is kind of a pain but oh well.

Finally! I've been lurking quietly on this forum, trying to find a PbP that interested me ! I was the GM of my home table group but we just finished Reign of Winter and that is a good thing because I'm finally going to be a player! But on the other hand no Pathfinder and d20 for a while... So I decided it was time to try PBP at Paizo's boards!

I would like to propose a Varisian Mesmerist that was enslaved by Gaedren when he was a child (Unhappy Childhood) for his natural ability to convince or distract people, until the day he tried that on Gaedran himself... If that is a concept you're find with? If Mesmerist is not allowed I can keep the same idea of role play with a Psychic, Bard, Arcanist or Sorcerer (but no Wizard I find the class boring!)

Introducing Aerel Thelon, elven spell-dancer magus. I welcome anyone who is interested in establishing character connections to PM me or let me know in here. :)

Melee Light Mace +1 (1d6+1 bludgeoning)

Space 5 ft., Reach 5 ft.

--------------------
SPECIAL ABILITIES
--------------------
Spell Combat (Ex): At 1st level, a magus learns to cast spells and wield his weapons at the same time. This functions much like two-weapon fighting, but the off-hand weapon is a spell that is being cast. To use this ability, the magus must have one hand free (even if the spell being cast does not have somatic components), while wielding a light or one-handed melee weapon in the other hand. As a full-round action, he can make all of his attacks with his melee weapon at a –2 penalty and can also cast any spell from the magus spell list with a casting time of 1 standard action (any attack roll made as part of this spell also takes this penalty). If he casts this spell defensively, he can decide to take an additional penalty on his attack rolls, up to his Intelligence bonus, and add the same amount as a circumstance bonus on his concentration check. If the check fails, the spell is wasted, but the attacks still take the penalty. A magus can choose to cast the spell first or make the weapon attacks first, but if he has more than one attack, he cannot cast the spell between weapon attacks.

Arcane Pool (Su): At 1st level, the magus gains a reservoir of mystical arcane energy that he can draw upon to fuel his powers and enhance his weapon. This arcane pool has a number of points equal to 1/2 his magus level (minimum 1) + his Intelligence modifier. The pool refreshes once per day when the magus prepares his spells. 4/4 Arcane Points.

Spell Dance (Su): At 1st level, a spell dancer gains the ability to expend 1 point from his arcane pool as a swift action to gain a +10 enhancement bonus to his movement rate and a +2 dodge bonus to Armor Class against attacks of opportunity provoked by moving through threatened spaces for 1 minute. For every four levels beyond 1st, the spell dancer gains another +10 enhancement bonus to movement and +2 to AC against attacks of opportunity provoked from movement. At 5th level, once per spell dance as a swift action, the spell dancer may use one of the following on himself as a swift action: blur, fly, or haste. These abilities last for 1 round. At 9th level, the spell dancer may instead take a swift action to use dimension door as a spell-like ability once during a spelldance. At 13th level, the spell dancer may instead choose to take a swift action to gain freedom of movement for 1d4 rounds. This ability replaces the magus’s ability to expend points from his arcane pool as a swift action to grant any weapon he is holding magic bonuses for 1 minute.

Backstory:

Aerel’s Backstory

Born in 4561 in the elven settlement of Crying Leaf, Aerel Thelon was the child of a mediocre wizard (a diviner) and her husband, a dancer and performer whose natural way with people made him ideal for keeping relations up with local Varisians and Shoanti.

Even at an early age, Aerel demonstrated an interest in and talent for both magic and dance, though his parents allowed him a great deal of liberty in his pursuits of childhood, as is often the case in elven families. Decades went by with only minor disturbances to Aerel’s life - when he was in his 30s, his parents had another child, Kyona, whom Aerel adored immediately.

When it came time for him to begin practicing a trade, Aeren followed in his parents’ footsteps - simultaneously. His father, Ithelien, worked with him for years at a time to master ancient dances, while he studied magic under his mother’s careful eyes, copying spellbooks and practice scrolls. As he did these things, it slowly occurred to Aerel that his two pursuits were more interconnected than most gave them credit for, and he began walking down the path of a spell-dancer.

In 4606 the world shattered, and with the death of the human god Aroden, much of the era of plenty that had surrounded Aerel’s life was shaken. The Age of Lost Omens saw a return of many elves to Golarion, and Crying Leaf was no exception. Among the returnees, an elderly spell-dancer arrived in Crying Leaf, and Aerel’s training began in earnest.

Two decades later, the Thelon family moved from Crying Leaf, going southwards through Riddleport, where they spent a few years trading and living amongst the Chelaxian imports, before continuing to Magnimar, where they lived for another decade. Finally, as Aerel turned eighty (4641), the family moved to Korvosa, where they would stay for the foreseeable future.

It was in 4691 that Aerel first met Khara the Clever, a half-elven bard whose passion for dance and magic rivaled his own. The young elf quickly fell in love, and his parents, though initially horrified at the thought, were slowly impressed by the young woman’s talents. Thus, when his parents and sister left Korvosa in 4703, Aerel stayed, though he continued writing letters to his family.

Aerel and Khara moved in together, and within a few years of his family’s exit, the two were married. Their marriage was utterly delightful, and Aerel was content spending time with his wife and researching into magic. Khara, however, was possessed of a deep sense of justice, and often worked with the Guard to ferret out illegal activities.

Then, in 4710, Khara went missing, and Aerel began searching for her, with mounting desperation until he received a report of her death. The loss of his newlywed wife (from an elven perspective) destroyed Aeren almost entirely, and he began seeking her murderer with a cold, angry passion. Eventually, it came to light (for Aerel) that his wife had been killed by Gaedren Lamm, an infamous crime lord… but the proof was not enough, and he could not turn to the Guard for aid. Taking matters into his own hands, he pursued leads, but never could find the human bastard... Months went by, and the year turned, yet still he found nothing. But an elf is nothing if not patient - the only time limit is Gaedren's own incipient mortality.

... That took me much less time than expected, and I ended up taking a class I didn't think I would! Oh well. These things happen.

Nice job, Winwaar. Aerel looks good.

trying to decide between a Ninja and a Samurai.

update. Working on a Swashbuckler.

Would the Roof Runner be worth the loss of trapfinding since as I understand it that ability lets me disable magical traps. The archetype seems really cool

I'll be going for a human fighter (archery focused) with the missing child (daughter) background trait. Marvel Manyshot is a lawyer by profession, divorced and has seen most of his ideals and concepts of justice been trampled upon in Korvosa, clinging desperately to the hope of finding his daughter and hopefully in the process also finding something to believe in.

I'm interested in setting up some character connection to Aerel Thelon - possibly Marvel has had some clients involved in cases Khara worked on and has been by Khara's and Aerel's place once or twice for a work related dinner? Just a quick thought. Will send a PM later once Marvel is a bit more fleshed out :-)

Sounds good to me. :)

Yes, I would allow a Mesmerist.

Lantern Lodge

Would Kitsune be allowed? I could include the "pass for human" equivalent for them if I would have to hide my Race.

I was looking forward to a Kitsune Sorcerer with the Nine Tail archtype out of Blood of the Beast. Would focus on Complusions with the Fey Bloodline.

Sorry, only legit core races this time around.

Lantern Lodge

It was last years PFS legal race but thats cool. I'll have to think of something

Silver Crusade

Definitely interested. If I can wrap up my own AP recruitment in time I'll put something together. The first thing that comes to mind is a Zeitgeist Binder Spiritualist, since it's an AP so focused on a single community, but I'll need to think about my options.

Dot!

Tiny
Human Cleric of Iomedae,
Domains would be Revelations and tactics.
Unhappy childhood(religious) campaign trait.

Growing up in the city is rough for an orphan, falling in with the wrong crowd just to fit in. The streets gave him the only name he knows because he was so small, then he found his faith. His Faith really did open his eyes to the world in a new way. Once the street "family" found out, they beat him to an inch of his life. The church welcomed him in and he was entranced by the paladins so in his off time he would practice with the sword as much as he could.

Now he is old enough to want to get out of the church he is inching to do is goddess justice by helping out in the world.

Stats would look something like
Str 13, Dex 10, Con 12, Int 10, Wis 16(Racial Bonus), Cha 14

Aest here, with Fiona Kesk. She's a human Haunted Spiritualist (probably) with a past history as one of Lamm's Lambs.

EDIT: I'd love to tie her in with some other PCs, if selected.

I hereby submit Garin Grimmwell. He is a Half-Orc Gunslinger with a recent history of having lost his one and only love to an unknown murderer (All alone campaign trait).

If anyone has ideas on how to help incorporate either themselves into Garin's backstory or how Garin may fit into your own, I am open to suggestions. I will of course take a look at your backstory as well to do that same.

I will put a dot into this one. I have been trying to get into a game for the laat few weeks and keep getting ousted so here we go again. Dont know yet what but i will build but I will have a character ready by sunday evening.

Presenting Nicholas, a swashbuckler out for revenge. Character is fully fleshed and stat-ready.

One question: Are we using the traits from the new CotCT player's guide update? I assumed so and used 'Hungry for Revenge'.

History

Spoiler:

Nicholas was orphaned at a young age; though he was most likely kidnapped or traded away. His 'guardian', otherwise known as Gaedren Lamm, simple told him that his real parents died and left him in the man's care. Looking back, he is sure that the man was lying, but not sure at all about finding out how. Well, aside from poking the information out of Gaedren with his rapier.

Nicholas was raised along with several other orphans of various ages to act on Gaedren's orders, which mostly consisted of theft, muggings, and sneaking about. During a mugging gone wrong, Nicholas managed to pick up a rapier that their target had dropped. While focusing on slicing up orphans left and right with previously hidden daggers, their target didn't notice the blade until it was poking out from his chest.

Seeing potential, Gaedren 'promoted' Nicholas as a personal bodyguard, and had the boy trained to use his new found weapon. Along with this position, Nicholas was given actual nourishment and a clean place to sleep; Nicholas believed these small luxuries to be a gift from the gods themselves and strove to perform his duties to the best of his abilities. He soon rose to being the right hand man for Gaedren.

He didn't get much experience at this higher position, however, as a raid soon happened upon Gaedren's current headquarters. With the guard bearing down on this, Gaedren and Nicholas fled out the secret escape in back. When they came out, they found the spot guarded. Gaedren shoved Nicholas right into the two guards and rushed past, ignoring Nicholas' screams for help.

Nicholas spent days in a prison cell, in which he festered bitterness at having the man who had given him meaning betray him. The captain decided to have a chat with the young man, believing the lad to just be misguided. While Nicholas did not like the sympathy being shown to him, the captain finally came to the conclusion that Nicholas was just an orphan used by Gaedren like all the others. After taking an oath from Nicholas that he would not commit crimes inside Korvosa, the captain let the boy go with his meager belongings.

On the streets once more without a home, Nicholas found himself working in a tavern to earn a living. His time working for Gaedren had exposed him to other languages, and the many customers of the popular tavern called the 'Crimson Dragon' helped him to gain a basic understanding of them. His main purpose in a tavern, though, was to find rumors about Gaedren. A year went by without any word.

Then, rumor spread of Gaedren attempting to gain power again a district over. His old anger coming to the surface, Nicholas prepared his equipment, took what coins he had saved up, and took after the rumor with a vengeance. After all this time, Nicholas' sword would be wet with blood once more.

----------

Appearance

Spoiler:

Nicholas wears the regular rags of the poor common people of Korvosa. Saving solely toward his goal of dispatching Gaedren, he has mised every coin and has not spent the least bit on his tattered clothes. The tavern keeper's wife has taken pity on him, though, and at least patched up the holes for him without her husband knowing. His leather vestment, however, is in much better condition, as he knows having well-kept armor is necessary to fight.

Nicholas is rather young at only 17, but his lack of care and hard lifestyle gives him both the look and maturity of a man in his mid-twenties. When his has his equipment with him, he openly shows his sword and shield, not afraid of attracting attention anymore. He has short-cropped black hair and roughly-trimmed facial hair.

----------

Personality

Spoiler:

Nicholas was greatly influenced by his lack of family and community. Struggling to follow the ganster Gaedren, many of the gathered orphans died during mishaps. Nicholas is used to others dying, and has even killed after becoming Gaedren's bodyguard. The constant lies and deception Gaedren used have given Nicholas a deep suspicion when concerning intrigue and politics.

Nicholas is focused when it comes to following his goals, and doesn't worry if his actions cross the law or not. He was raised with the motto 'Look out for yourself first'. The reality of it hit when Gaedren threw him away. After that betrayed, he doubts he can trust fully again; then again, Nicholas could not honestly say he 'fully' trusted Gaedren either.

While Nicholas doesn't mind helping out others, he doesn't go out of his way often, and has been taught that mercy gets one killed. However, he does not kill out of spite, with the exception of Gaedren, of course; in fact, he does not plan to have to kill again after he gets his hands on his old master. The only goal he sees past Gaedren is trying to somehow find a normalized life. But first, he has to find out what 'normalized' is.

Nicholas looks good.

Yes, please use the updated versions of the traits, since I'll be using the updated version of the AP.

So far we've got:

(Complete)
* Winwaar's Aerel Thelon, elven magus (spell-dancer)
* Aest's Fiona Kesk, human spiritualist (haunted)
* Big Joe's Garin Grimmwell, half-orc gunslinger
* Blue Drake's Nicholas Sparrow, human swashbuckler (inspired)

(Incomplete)
* Thrandr's Marvel Manyshot, human fighter (archery focused)
* Alecak's Tiny, human cleric of Iomedae

Please note, Aest has an idea for Fiona's phantom that's pretty unique, but may be controversial. I decided to let her submit it, but to avoid party strife I'd like to see other people's feelings about it.

It response to Fiona's phantom idea, I think it could bring a unique spin to the game and am up for seeing how it plays out in the world.

I present Marvel Manyshot. I'm all up for writing in more character connections, although it probably will have to wait till tomorrow what with new year's eve and all that :-)

Backstory:

Marvel was born on the 21st of Abadius 4680. His father, Gendrake Manyshot, is a relatively successful owner of a bookshop in the Midland district, which he runs together with Marvel’s mother, Andrea Manyshot.

Combined with a modest lifestyle the Manyshot’s earned enough to ensure that all 3 of their children were educated and learned how to defend themselves. The older brother, Plentak Manyshot, eventually became a captain aboard an admittedly small trading ship while Marvel’s younger sister, Anna Manyshot, is a member of the Korvosa Guard, trying to gain entry into the Sable Company.

Marvel went the route of the law. What he lacked in looks, personality and intelligence he tried to make up for in discipline and dogged pursuit of his studies. During the first year of his studies Marvel rarely participated in social gatherings. While not directly shunned by his peers Marvel wasn’t welcomed with open arms either, and as such he was an easy convert to the faith of Abadar. Abadar’s faith was a near perfect match to Marvel’s view on hard work, order and justice but initially the main attraction was that embracing the faith gave Marvel a place to fit in and opened doors in regards to patrons and future opportunities.

It was at a religious gathering that Marvel met Kendra Fleetfot, his future wife. Kendra wasn’t much better looking than Marvel, but she always had a smile on her lips, and people liked her. She spoke naturally, listened pleasantly and was quick to laughter. Somehow these traits in Kendra brought forth the best traits in Marvel and he could laugh, smile and talk naturally. He was instantly in love and Kendra loved him as well.

In 4702 Kendra and Marvel married each other and one year later their son, Gendrake Manyshot, was born with their daughter, Alana, following early in 4705.

Family life was bliss for Marvel. Outside their small home in Leroung Street people still generally disliked him, but at home life was joyous. He played with the children, laughed with his wife and took up archery at one of the fighting schools.

Without his family, Marvel would probably have left Korvosa. He became a lawyer to protect law, order and justice, but what he saw in Korvosa’s courts and bureaucracy quickly dented his idealism. The letter of the law was more important than the spirit, and the legal system was so bloated that people with money almost always could buy their way out of trouble with the correct legal expertise, while the common people were lost. Marvel tried to help those less well off, but he also had to help clients who could pay him, and he just wasn’t a good enough lawyer to stand a chance against those lawyers who both knew every corner of every law, and how to perform in court. As such Marvel mainly ended up with clients requiring help with forms, applications, processes and so forth, and the people he tried to help in court, often blamed him for their loss.

One exception to Marvel’s failure to help those less well off, was when he worked together with Khara the Clever on a complicated case involving Varisians being wrongly evicted from their houses. Khara, Marvel and members of the Korvosa Guard worked on the case for nearly 6 months and eventually the Varisians regained their homes.

A few days before Marvel’s daughter disappeared Khara contacted Marvel regarding a case she was looking into which was connected to a Gaedren Lamm, but in the ensuing chaos which engulfed Marvel’s life he never got back to Khara.

Alana disappeared a few months after she turned four. Gendrake and Alana had been arguing throughout the day and eventually Marvel had enough of it, joined the fray and the three of them were yelling at each other until Kendra came home and sent them all to their respective rooms – including Marvel. Marvel never saw Alana. She ran away from home and didn’t come back. Marvel, Kendra and Gendrake searched for weeks but found no clue of her. Eventually Kendra began speaking of accepting that Alana was going, telling Marvel that they had a son who needed them, but Marvel didn’t listen. He blame himself for Alana’s disappearance.

Marvel worked to sustain himself and his family. The remaining time he searched for Alana, only stopping when he absolutely had to sleep or needed a bath so as not to scare off clients. Half a year later Kendra and Gendrake moved in with Kendra’s parents. Marvel considered stopping his search – he considered repairing what remained of his family, but it was then he heard the name Gaedren Lamm, and ever since Marvel has been obsessed. He took up practicing with his arrow again and bought a chainmail. Marvel told himself he would find Lamm and he would force him to tell him where his daughter was, even if that meant, that Marvel would have to take the law into his own hands.

Personality:

Marvel Manyshot is not the most likeable person you'll encounter. If someone is in need of help he is likely to offer help. However, there is something off about him resulting in said offer often being politely declined.

When Marvel speaks to most people he doesn't look them in the eyes. Rather he addresses some point just beyond their left shoulder and tends to have quite a few pauses when speaking.

On the other hand, when it is a subject Marvel deeply cares about he is extremely intense, staring into his subjects eyes without blinking, and being visibly upset if someone continually disagrees with him or refutes his arguments. As a result of this most people tend to avoid conversations with Marvel.

By nature Marvel enjoys socializing and he enjoys people. But Marvel is aware that people as a rule don't enjoy his company, which has resulted in Marvel often avoiding social situations. Those few friends Marvel has he treasures above all (except for his daughter), and it is only when alone with these friends that Marvel relaxes enough to be less off-putting.

Marvel believes deeply in a lawful, ordered and civilized society and is a devout follower of Abadar. However due to the injustices, needless and unfair bureaucratic practices and his own personal tragedies Marvel has lost faith in Korvosa's political and legal systems, questions his own beliefs and is on the point where he either experiences one final injustice, causing him to lose his faith, or someone or something persuades him to take justice, law and order into his own hands, so as to create a society more akin to his understanding of Abadar's teachings.

Appearance:

Marvel has a quite common look to him. Grey eyes, brown hair and an average build both regarding height and width. His face is gaunt as though he has eaten and slept too little, and it is rare for a smile to cross his face.

Marvel dressess in quality clothes but nothing fancy, favoring functionality rather than looks. His favorite colors tend to be dark grey, dark green and black.

And I'm all up for the phantom idea :-)

I've never really delved into the Occult classes, but I'm open to it. When I was reading the backstory, though, I first thought that it was Boots as her spirit. Am open to the phantom idea, as well as being open to connecting backstories.

Plus, once the truth of her spirit comes out, we could all find consolation in repeatedly killing our torturer. :)

I want to say that I have completed the crunch and partially completed the backstory/fluff for my swashbucker. Here's a brief blurb

Dignata Calvitto: Ethnically Chelaxan NG swashbuckler, scimitar wielder, from an upper/upper middle class background, with the "family honour" trait who would love to introduce Lamm to her sword for the sake of her family's damaged reputation. She's a little bit sheltered and doesn't really get exactly how bad things are for the poor of Korvosa so any interactions with lower-class characters should be interesting :)

Also the phantom idea is an interesting one.

Silly question but where do I find these updated campaign traits? And the phantom sounds cool. The spiritualist is an awesome class.

It's on the paizo blog. Go to the search box and select to search in 'blogs'. Then search for 'curse of the crimson throne'.

Hm... I have no objections to the phantom idea, though I imagine it would cause some in character strife, because... eesh.

EDIT: On further thought, I'm not entirely certain I'd be comfortable with it, because it has such potential for inter-party conflict. That said, I wouldn't push against it if everyone else is fine with it.

Pendrak here, submitting Bandobras Fastwyck, halfling fighter, for consideration. Still finishing up his backstory, but there is the seed for one there.

Curse of the Crimson Throne is one of the few APs that I know nothing to very little about, so this could be quite fun.

Finally! Someone is recruiting this from level 1, I have wanted to play this campaign ever since it came out! I have a Rogue in mind (Roof Runner), either Elf or Halfling. I wouldn't even mind not using the Unchained variant, but I shall get to creating the character now. Should only take an hour or so.

Quick question, are you allowing Feats and Traits from the Heroes of Cheliax / Qadira Sand of the East, etc books?

Hello GM Kamro! Submitting Galen Greywhisper for your review!

Galen is a psychic - he suggests it's something more akin to sorcery at this point, but mostly because he's not in full understanding of what his particular type of arcane magic truly is. Galen is a Varisian orphan who came to Korvosa as a boy with his grandmother (Nan), after several years on the roadways in a Varisian caravan. Established in Korvosa but now without any family whatsoever, he has recently lost a dear friend (Evie) from addiction to shiver. This tragedy, and the rumors he's heard about orphans being enslaved by Gaedren Lamm's activities, are what drives Galen to do something about the crime boss.

Full appearance/background/personality/stats/etc. are in the profile.

Cheers!

Special Abilities
--------------------
Fleet of Foot: Some halflings are quicker than their kin but less cautious. Halflings with this racial trait move at normal speed and have a base speed of 30 feet. This racial trait replaces slow speed and sure-footed.
Low Blow: Some halflings train extensively in the art of attacking larger creatures. Halflings with this racial trait gain a +1 bonus on critical confirmation rolls against opponents larger than themselves. This racial trait replaces keen senses.
Underfoot: Halflings must train hard to effectively fight bigger opponents. Halflings with this racial trait gain a +1 dodge bonus to AC against foes larger than themselves and a +1 bonus on Reflex saving throws to avoid trample attacks. This racial trait replaces halfling luck.
Finesse Training (Ex): At 1st level, a rogue gains Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat. In addition, starting at 3rd level, she can select any one type of weapon that can be used with Weapon Finesse (such as rapiers or daggers). Once this choice is made, it cannot be changed. Whenever she makes a successful melee attack with the selected weapon, she adds her Dexterity modifier instead of her Strength modifier to the damage roll. If any effect would prevent the rogue from adding her Strength modifier to the damage roll, she does not add her Dexterity modifier. The rogue can select a second weapon at 11th level and a third at 19th level.
Sneak Attack: If a rogue can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she can strike a vital spot for extra damage.
The rogue's attack deals extra damage anytime her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the rogue flanks her target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and increases by 1d6 every two rogue levels thereafter. Should the rogue score a critical hit with a sneak attack, this extra damage is not multiplied. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet.
With a weapon that deals nonlethal damage (like a sap, whip, or an unarmed strike), a rogue can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. She cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack, not even with the usual –4 penalty.
The rogue must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. A rogue cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with concealment.
Roof Running (Ex): At 1st level, a roof runner becomes entirely adept at moving across the tops of buildings, spires, and similar locations. Provided she is wearing light armor or no armor, the roof runner can move at full speed while traveling across the tops of buildings or similar structures, and takes no penalties on any Dexterity-based Skill checks or Reflex saves that might be incurred from moving about on a roof. This ability replaces trapfinding.

As of yet I haven't finished him, just got some buying to do, pick a name, do a backstory, etc. Which I am doing now, just thought I would put his stat block up, obviously with items bought things may change slightly, but not by much.
