Background
Bandobras Fastwyck (“Ban” for short) was born in Cheliax in 4786 AR, the son of a pair of halfling slaves owned by a Wiscrani noble. In 4788 AR his master was banished from Cheliax, and fled from Westcrown to Korvosa, but nearing the end of the journey the ship was caught in a storm and sank, killing both Ban's parents and his diabolical master. Ban himself washed up on the shore's of Conqueror's Bay, and was taken in by none other than Gaedran Lamm.
