Three of Shaeda's blows find their target, and their holiness cuts the devil's skin deeply, but she remains on her feet.

Ok, Shaeda did a 5' to the West then.

Thurrios moves around the enemy to his West, to be able to provide a flank for Searok's incoming full hasted attack.

That movement should provoke an AOO from the erinyes. Shaeda will BG Thurrios for that AOO...

A couple of low rolls, but fortunately on the attacks with the highest bonuses! Post-Attack Strikes Analysis:

Against AC 31 or higher: 53+28+33+26+31 = 171 points of damage this round!


Ziranu's arrows finish off the final devil.

Each of the fiends has a +1 Flaming Composite Longbow in their possession, and a +1 Longsword.

But more importantly...Everyone hits level 16.

Exits are still as marked, you'd got two doors in this room and a staircase leading up.

The western door is untrapped. Ziranu hears a sort of creaking sound beyond it, and the clink of chains. He also is certain he can detect the smell of blood and rotting flesh beyond.

"Standard positions," Shaeda whispers.

Once everyone is in position (which I will reposition us in a second), Searok will open the door.


This large chamber smells of seasoned wood and blood. It contains a long table with four wooden chairs on one side and a single stool on the other. Torture implements, including a rack, an iron maiden, and a complex pulley machine, are arranged near the walls, together with a wide range of crafty restraining devices.

Against the far wall is a vision of horror. It looks like a large fiendish statue, and wouldn't be pleasant to gaze upon at the best of times. But it too is an instrument of torture and death; a human body is pinned to it like a butterfly in a collection, crucified with an expression of anguish still on his face. Although he has suffered horrible abuse before perishing, the features of the victim are still familiar. This pour soul was once Ishani Dhatri, a priest of Abadar who you encountered during the plague on the city, and who helped Cressida in raiding the Hospice that was secretly engineering the disease. It seems Ileosa eventually had him punished for his minor role in spoiling her plans.

The statue he's on doesn't seem tot hink it's been the cause of enough suffering, and it lurches to life at your presence, taking its late and unfortunate passenger with it.
