Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Oloch sees the man meeting Anwald's description in the pub and tries to appear casual as he waits for one of his more loquacious friends to approach the man.

"He looks like he's waiting for someone and getting bored. Maybe his assassins are due back around now, and we know why they won't be coming."
Kyra pulls the group to one side while they discus their options.
"The way i see it we have three ways to do this. First we could try to be nice and try to convince him that Ulisha isn't worth the effort to continue sending assassins to kill her."
"Second we could lie to him and say Ulisha is dead so the contract is completed."
"Third we can try to be more forceful and try to strong-arm him, though i think a man who is fine with calling out assassins may not take threats very seriously."

Hakon - Spencer |

Going along with the others to Daggermark, Hakon sighs as they enter the town to find him. Once they do find Anwald, he wonders, why does the little so-called noble think he is.
Intelligence: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Hakon shrugs as he listen to Kyra's suggestions. "Hm. Well, I can intimidate him well enough I think. But as you said, he might not like threats to himself. So... What do you guys think?" He looks around the pub absentmindedly from where he is seated. "But, do you guys think he met his assassins? Might be a good way too. Though I know while I am passionate, I doubt I would lie to his face well enough."

Personally leaning towards the diplomatic option, but i'm waiting for people to comment and/or come up with some with other options before i post in character again.

Occasionally, you see Anwald look pensively in your direction, as if he is trying to figure you out, then returns to peeking back over his shoulder. He certainly seems restless.
Anyone, feel free to take the lead.

Hakon - Spencer |

Hey... Hakon is actually good at lying through his teeth! Anyway, I got a feeling Hakon just did a mental facepalm seeing Yoon go right up to him.
Cringing slightly, Hakon can't help but to look away, but listens closely to the best of his ability. Child... You might get hurt! He whispers to the group at the table. "Someone should go over there with her!

Kyra quickly heads over and tries to smooth over the situation before it gets any worse.
"I'm sorry about the young one here interrupting you. My name is Kyra and this is Yoon, my ward. May i buy you a drink by way of an apology good sir?"
After a brief pause for his reply Kyra continues.
"Yoon here may be a little... enthusiastic... but she's certainly very observant. What seems to be troubling you? Is there anything me and my allies could do to help you?"

"Getting 'th little one away from me is a good start. But look at brave Anwald, rattled by a child!" A mixture of panic and liquor seem to be affecting his speech. You see him visibly clench his fists, more grasping at inner strength than showing signs of outward violence. "Fie on that stupid scholar and her precious Silverhex!" She's ruined everything!"

Pregen - PW |

Mavaro walks over carefully, not wanting to ruin Kyra's efforts.
"Explain...maybe we can help," he says.

"It sounds like your problems are all from one incident. Maybe it's time to put the trouble behind you and move on to a new venture?"

"The Tullivor family has been good people for generations, and that damned half-orc with her damned Silverhex and her damned sticky fingers owes them. Unless you want to pay her debt, I don't see anything you can accomplish. Their mantelpiece chalice is irreplaceable for less than 500 gold. I don't like having to incite violence upon her, but what she did to House Tullivor isn't right, either."
You could easily scrounge together 500 gold from the sale of the treasure you've acquired, coupled with the raw gold from Narnar Ninefingers.

Oloch-Siriak |

Oloch, keeping to himself for the time being, is distressed to hear Anwald mention the 500 gold piece debt.
This is not the direction I saw this going, he says to himself.

"I think we need a minute to discuss as possible solution to your troubles friend. We'll go buy another round of drinks and be back with you shortly."
Kyra leads everyone away from the dwarf while getting the attention of the barman for another round of drinks.
"It seems another option has presented itself. Maybe we could pay off this 500 gold debt and make Ulisha's life much easier in the process. I think saving a life is certainly worth such a small amount of coin, but we are a group and i think we must all agree that this is what we want to do."

Hakon - Spencer |

Hakon nods and walks over to Kyra. "Hm. That does sound like a good work around. Though do we have enough from Narngar and what we found to pay off the debt?"
He tries to recall the items that were found. And possibly tally them up. First... There was item we found in the crypt, a tapestry... Worth 550 gold coins... So 275 gold coins to be sold.
Then we have the lantern from that grove. I don't think we got a amount for it. But! I wouldn't mind keeping it.
Then we went to Allenstead. Where we go that rod from that fakey priest. Though it was only 20 silvers at best. What was more valuable was the man's dagger, those bracers, and that potion of invisibility. Not to mention the 2 platinum and 28 gold coins.
Then in Numeria, we went to that wreckage thing and found 35 of those silver disks. Worth 10 gold coins each. So 350 gold for those. Then found that wrist thing that protects the wearer... I don't think we figured out how much that could be though. Also got two potions of remove fear from those kellids.
Then with what we sold of the spider sacs and such, 200 gold coins from Narngar.
So if we sell the Tapestry and the gold from Narngar, we nearly have enough to pay off the debt for... Wait...
He turns to Kyra, trying to keep his voice down. "Wait, what happened to that Sarvio girl? Um, Rhiannon Sarvio, right? Didn't we find out that she killed one of the Tullivor's in trying to get their treasure?"

Oloch-Siriak |

Oloch regards the dwarf briefly and turns to face the group.
Well, he doesn't appear to be much of a worthy opponent. I will not stand in the way if the others vote to sell the excess loot, he says to Kyra and Mavaro.

Yoon-Phylotus |

Yoon gives a very large, very exagerated sigh that only a child could muster and finally says, fiiiiiiiiiiine, I GUESS we could give him some money to back off... it is EASIER... But then I have a smaller allowance... she trails off and plays with Gom-Gom on the floor of the tavern.

Hakon - Spencer |

"We were going to sell them anyway." Hakon simply states.

A brief transaction later, and Anwald admits that perhaps calling Ulisha out to the Red Revolution and the Vessels Between was a bit of an overreaction, even for what she did to 'good folk like the Tullivor family.'
Upon returning to Ulisha, she is a bit overwhelmed with gratitude.
"It's nice to be free to show my head again, but that said, I'm not likely to hang around Daggermark anymore than I need to. Care if I tag along to Tymon?" She says, with a bit of a grin. [b]"And, also. I suppose I don't need to be selling this," she says, drawing Silverhex, spinning it in her palm, and offering its hilt to you. "Consider it a gift," she says with a smile.
The trip to Tymon is uneventful, and VC Smine offers a bit of celebratory snacks and a hearty congratulations for a job well done. Ulisha settles in to a scribe position in the Tymon lodge, and offers to help if there is ever 'anything around the Sellen River you need researched.'
I know a few of you already started posting chronicle sheet info over in discussion. If the rest of you would follow suit, that would be lovely. My goal is to have chronicle sheets emailed by Friday.
Thanks for putting up with me this whole time. It was a bit of a learning experience from my end, and I hope it was fun enough on yours.
Thanks, and see you in the world.
