Sorry guys for disappearing like that. Somehow it seems I have displeasured Urgathoa, she sent a nasty plague my way.
I am recovering now. Unfortunately that does not mean I will rejoin you as I will be leaving for a family holiday tomorrow. I will be back on March 6th and hope I am fully recovered at that time.
GMG |
I will be at a local convention this weekend, expect nothing from me during the weekend.
GMG |
Thank you all for staying with me for this second part! I could not find day job rolls for this part, can you roll these so I can prepare the chronicles?
Part 3 is for level 5-7 characters and I think it is a lot shorter than this last part. I am still up for doing that. Are you also still interested?
Xasay Xyu |
Absolutely!
Perform (Shadow Puppetry): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
So, did we accomplish any of the following this adventure?:
- defeat an [Evil] Outsider of CR 4+
- defeat an Undead of CR 4+
- rescue a named NPC who is a divine spellcaster with a Good-aligned deity or a named [Good] Outsider, OR collaborate with such an NPC to overcome an obstacle directly related to the this adventure's success conditions?
Grisaia |
Oh god, did I use a reroll? *goes to check* Looks like I didn't.
Perform Oratory Day Job: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Perform Oratory day Job Reroll: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33
I'm with ya to the end, friends.
Edit: Also slow-tracking this chronicle as well. Part 3 will be normal track, I think.
Tori Petrana |
Day Job: Profession (sailor): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
I'm good with moving on to the last part. I'll still go normal track XP assuming there isn't anything else planned for this group after since I'll be playing the next part at level 7.
GMG |
I did not see a profession, craft or perform skill at Scratcher's profile so assumed he has no day job. I will give you some time to level and wait for Scratcher to commit to the next part (or not).
Xasay: you defeated an undead (ghost in the sunken ship). You did not meet the other goals.
As for ideas after the next part: I will probably let you loose again on the other GMs. But we will see that when we get there.
Emmett Lathrop |
Emmett is ready - added 4th level of Gunslinger.
Also find that I have a lot of money, so making the following purchases:
Start: 17,093
Purchases:
20 Paper Cartridges (120 gp)
10 Cold Iron Cartridges (120 gp)
3 Adamantine Cartidges (108 gp)
Add +1 to pistol (2000 gp)
Ring of Protection +1 (2000 gp)
Belt of incredible dexterity +2 (4000gp)
Amulet of Natural Armor +1 (2000 gp)
seaweed leshy bulb (functions as a potion of waterbreathing with a 10-minute duration; 50 gp, limit 1)
Total spent: 10,398
Remaining: 6695
Grisaia |
Grisaia is leveled up and ready to go, picking up a belt of str +2 from the chronicle and retraining a feat since spontaneously upping a cure spell to reach never came up. Chronicles will be updated this week.
The Scratcher |
Scratcher is now leveled up to character level 6, adding a 4th Warpriest level. Finally some level 2 magic, the ability to enhance my weapons on the fly, more and stronger Fervor uses, and updated my Blessings uses.
Between level up bonuses and a couple of gear upgrades, the other changes are a minor boost to AC, Fort/Will saves, and enchanted 1 weapon to be magical.
Xasay Xyu |
Xasay is now level 5, and I can...use my clavichord to Intimidate people!
Xasay Xyu |
That, and saving throws against all fear effects I create are to be made at a -2 penalty.
I've purchased a Ring of Swimming, and upgraded my buckler to be Mirrored. Henceforth, my shield shall have a name: "Moon Rabbit".
Xasay Xyu |
Actually, belay that Mirrored shield: I'm spending 1,000 more on a Headband of Alluring Charisma +2 instead.
GMG |
Can you doublecheck your intiative and perception modifiers in the map slideshow? Thanks!

Sorry folks, work hit me hard. Tomorrow is a national holiday over here and it might be that I won’t have time in the weekend either.
And to make matters worse I will also be out of internet for a few days between May 2nd and May 6th because of a short holiday. We will return to a normal schedule then.

Care to share details? There are, increasingly, times in recent years that I've come to fee like the Internet was a mistake - but the one thing I've always felt was better about it than anything else is the unprecedented access it gives to people in other countries!

It was our King's birthday: Kings's Day.
It is customary that young children have a sale in the local park of toys in the morning, selling toys they do not use anymore. Money earned is usually also spend there, if we had a good day our house is a bit emptier. If we had a bad day our children would come home with more than they left with. Our youngest is 10 and he had a good day, sold a lot of old toys and earned a bit of money.
The evening and night before is King's Night: all pubs are open until late and you can go out until the early morning. It is also customary to have flags out (we do that only on special occasions) and to wear orange.
This year we were lucky to have King's Day on a Friday, so we could all enjoy a long weekend.
Xasay Xyu |
Ah, we have a similar holiday here, except, of course, we call it "President's Day". We celebrate it mainly by selling things.
We also have "Martin Luther King Day", which we use to extend Winter break in schools, take a day off work if our employers feel like it, reflect on the notion that our country used to have a functioning moral compass and a positive vision for the future, and sell things.
Like you, we have a national Independence Day, where we launch explosives, eat, and...sell things.
Then there are the major recognized religious holidays, where we eat, get off work in some cases, and sell things...
...we also have a bunch of minor federal holidays, which lead to extended weekends if you're lucky, and are mainly observed by selling things...
...then there's Black Friday, which is where we skip the justification and get right to the selling things.
Hm. I think I'm starting to pick up a pattern, here....
The Scratcher |
Biggest difference is a national holiday versus a cultural holiday. When the two intertwine, it is a cool thing. Otherwise... it is a good excuse to have a day off and sell things.
Do miss having a job with paid federal holidays.
Magabeus |
I thought Black Friday was about buying, but that is just the other side of that same medal....

Sorry folks, I have some real life things to take care of. Hope to be back into business on Thursday.

My online presence will be less than usual for the next two weeks due to a family vacation. I will try to keep you guys moving, but we will probably slow down a bit.
GMG |
The forum is back up! I am rather busy at the moment, but will update later this weekend. Please post something here or in gameplay so I know you are still around.
