About Tori Petrana

Background:

The daughter of two Sczarni smugglers working with the pathfinder society, Vittoria was orphaned at an early age when her parents were slain by thugs working for the Aspis Consortium. Her closet living relative was an uncle who worked as a merchant sea captain in Andoran, and sometimes assisted the Grey Corsairs in freeing slaves along the Inner Sea. So, Tori was shipped off to live with him and his family, who happily took her in.

Once she was old enough, she began to work as her uncle's cabin girl, learning the tricks of the sea trade. Her uncle also intensively trained Tori on how to use a bow for the rare occasions when the ship was under fire, not wanting the girl to get hurt by engaging in a melee. She also spent a lot of time under the tutelage of the ship's surgeon, an inquisitor of Desna, who filled the girl's head full of the importance of liberty, and the wonder of her goddess.

As she grew up, Tori longed to see more of the world outside of the Inner Sea and be more than just a sailor. So, once she was of age, she left her uncle's ship and made her way to Absalom to present herself to the Pathfinder Society for membership, as she knew the Society financed trips around the world and would be an excellent way to connect to her slain parent's legacy.

(The following contains spoilers for The Confirmation, Before Dawn Parts I and II, and The Prince of Augustana)

After completing her training, she took part in a group Confirmation in the Kortos Mounts, and passed with flying colors. Her first official assignment sent her to the Aspis-held city of Bloodcove and later into the Mwangi Expanse, as she went undercover as a pirate to bring supplies to a Pathfinder expedition that was under siege. Despite the threat of real pirates, Aspis agents, and angry gorilla men, her group succeeded in its mission and managed to recover a powerful Azlanti weapon.

Her second big assignment returned her to Andoran, where she assisted the Venture-Captain there in dealing with an insane man with a wayfinder who claimed to be the prince of Augustana. Descending into the sewers to deal with the impoverished people and bandits living there, her party discovered the source of the man's wayfinder and insanity.

Feats:

Point-blank Shot: +1 attack and damage on targets within 30 feet (1st Level Feat)

Precise Shot: No penalty for shooting into melee (Fighter 1st Level Bonus Feat)

Weapon Focus (Longbow): +1 bonus on attack rolls with Longbows (Human 1st Level Bonus Feat)

Rapid Shot: When making a full-attack action with a ranged weapon, you can fire one additional time this round. All of your attack rolls take a –2 penalty. (Fighter 2nd Level Combat Feat)

Deadly Aim: You can choose to take a –1 penalty on all ranged attack rolls to gain a +2 bonus on all ranged damage rolls. When your base attack bonus reaches +4, and every +4 thereafter, the penalty increases by –1 and the bonus to damage increases by +2. You must choose to use this feat before making an attack roll and its effects last until your next turn. The bonus damage does not apply to touch attacks or effects that do not deal hit point damage. (3rd Level Feat)

Weapon Specialization (Longbow): You gain a +2 bonus on all damage rolls you make using a Longbow. (Fighter 4th level Combat Feat)

Point Blank Master (Longbow): Choose one type of ranged weapon. You do not provoke attacks of opportunity when firing the selected weapon while threatened. (5th Level Feat)

Manyshot: When making a full-attack action with a bow, your first attack fires two arrows. If the attack hits, both arrows hit. Apply precision-based damage (such as sneak attack) and critical hit damage only once for this attack. Damage bonuses from using a composite bow with a high Strength bonus apply to each arrow, as do other damage bonuses, such as a ranger’s favored enemy bonus. Damage reduction and resistances apply separately to each arrow. (Fighter 6th level Combat Feat)

Snap Shot: While wielding a ranged weapon with which you have Weapon Focus, you threaten squares within 5 feet of you. You can make attacks of opportunity with that ranged weapon. You do not provoke attacks of opportunity when making a ranged attack as an attack of opportunity. (7th Level Feat)

Traits:

Captain’s Blade: Tori was raised on board a ship and learned to fight beside the sailing men and women of the Andoren fleet. While on board any vessel afloat on water, she gains a +1 trait bonus on Acrobatics and Climb checks. One of these skills (Acrobatics) becomes a class skill for her. [Andoran Faction Trait]

Reactionary: You gain a +2 trait bonus on Initiative checks. [Basic (Combat) Trait]

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A fighter is proficient with all simple and martial weapons and with all armor (heavy, light, and medium) and shields (including tower shields).

Bravery: +2 to Fear Saves

Weapon Training (Ex): Starting at 5th level, a fighter can select one group of weapons, as noted below. Whenever he attacks with a weapon from this group, he gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls.

Boons:

Confirmed Field Agent (From The Confirmation)
Having successfully completed and documented your Confirmation, one of the Three Masters has formally recognized you as a field agent and given you a wayfìnder engraved with your name and the date of your graduation. If this is the first time you have received this boon for any of your characters, you receive this wayfinder for free; otherwise, you may acquire it by spending 1 Prestige point. Furthermore, if you assign this Chronicle Sheet to a character who's starting XP is 0, you reduce the Prestige Point cost of any wayfinder enhancement Vanities you purchase to modify this wayfinder by 1 (minimum 1).

Explore, Report, Cooperate (From The Confirmation)
You have an excellent sense of what makes an exemplary Pathfinder. As a free or immediate action, you may consider whether a particular action you name - such as subduing, but not killing an enemy, befriending an NPC, or recovering a particular item - would help realize the goals of the Pathfinder Society. The GM then informs you whether the actions impact would be positive (contributes to meeting a secondary success condition for the scenario), negative (opposes the secondary success condition) or negligible (neither contributes to nor opposes the secondary success condition). If none of these three options accurately reflects the action's impact on the PC's fulfillment of the secondary success conditions, the GM may respond with a phrase of five words or less. Once you use this boon cross it off your Chronicle sheet.

Friend of Janira Gavix (From The Confirmation)
The field agent who oversaw your confirmation is appreciative of your bravery and camaraderie in the face of danger. She helps you perform research, granting you a +1 bonus on knowledge checks attempted while you are in the Grand Lodge.

The Favor of Cartahegn (From Before the Dawn I: The Bloodcove Disguise)
While in a settlement of 5,000 people or more anywhere on the continent of Garund, you may purchase mundane equipment (but not weapons or armor) through your favorable connections with House Cartahegn at a 10% discount.

Budding Friendship (From Slave Ships of Absalom)
You have done a favor for Lady Silviana in Absalom, and she is willing to repay the favor. If you would earn no Prestige Points at the end of an adventure that included one or more encounters in Absalom, you can cross this boon of you Chronicle sheet to earn 1 Prestige Point instead.

Liberty Never Rests (Liberty's Edge faction) (From Slave Ships of Absalom)
Quick thinking and quicker action are necessary elements of heroism, and you are prepared to act promptly to defend others. You can cross this boon off you Chronicle Sheet before rolling initiative to roll twice and take the better result.

Gloomspire Explorer (From Hall of the Flesh Eaters)
Despite having studied only a small portion of Sevenfingers’s tomb, you are now one of the Society’s foremost authorities on the enigmatic Gloomspires. While adventuring in the Gloomspires, you receive a +2 bonus on all Perception checks made to find hidden objects such as traps, treasure, and secret doors. If you check the box included with this boon, you gain the benefits of this boon for the duration of one scenario set anywhere other than the Gloomspires.

Debt of Cyphers (From The Cyphermage Dilemma)
You rescued ex-Pathfinder and Cyphergate scholar Hirako Gurukaza from the hands of pirate kidnappers. In thanks, he has spread your name among the Order of the Cyphers. When in Riddleport, you gain a +2 bonus on Knowledge (arcana) and Linguistics checks when you consult Gurukaza before making the check. In addition, the Order’s connection to some of Riddleport’s more powerful criminal elements also provides you a future benefit in the form of a +2 bonus on Diplomacy checks made in the city to gather information.

Riddleport Respect (From The Cyphermage Dilemma)
Word of your defeat of pirate captain Alejia Netrav has spread throughout Riddleport, and you’ve earned the respect of the criminals and thugs that call the city home. When you flex your muscle, folks in the City of Cyphers pay attention. You receive a +2 bonus on Intimidate checks made in Riddleport as a result.

Daring Rescue (Liberty’s Edge faction) (From The Slave Master's Mirror)
Your strengthened connections to the Bellflower Network and continued dedication to the rescue of innocents has earned you the respect of your freedom-fighting colleagues. You may cross this boon of your Chronicle sheet when spending Prestige Points to recover your body and gear to reduce the Prestige Point cost by 3 (minimum 0).

Djinni’s Admiration (From The Slave Master's Mirror)
You have won the admiration of the captive djinni Jairo. Although you were unable to secure his freedom from an enemy of the Society, he may be able to repay your kindness in the future.

Gnoll Tactics (From The Slave Master's Mirror)
Your first-hand experience with gnoll tactics and cultural traditions gives you a headstart in incorporating their unique styles into your own training. So long as you possess this boon, all of your Pathfinder Society Organized Play characters have access to the following feats and archetypes from Pathfinder RPG Monster Codex as if they appeared on the Additional Resources page: Coordinated Reposition, Disarm Partner, Improved Disarm Partner, Snapping Flank, the pack rager barbarian archetype, and the flindbar.

Enlightened Ambassador (From The Test of Tar Kuata)
Even in your short time at Tar Kuata, you have learned a few practical tricks from the Iroran monks. As a move action, you can enter a meditative trance that makes your senses more acute, your relexes faster, and your mind more focused. The trance lasts for 1 hour, and you can end it (no action) at any point during this time to gain one of the following benefits: gain a +4 insight bonus on a saving throw against a mind-affecting effect, increase your speed by 10 feet for 1 round, or ignore concealment when making attacks for 1 round. When your trance ends, cross this boon of your Chronicle sheet.

Tar Kuata Initiate (From The Test of Tar Kuata)
The monks of Tar Kuata have recognized your potential and ofered to train you at their monastery for a minimal cost. When using the rules for retraining (Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Campaign 188), you treat all classes as though they had retraining synergy with the monk class; those that already have retraining synergy with the monk class instead reduce the number of days required to retrain any class level into a monk level by 1. A monk retraining a monk class archetype also reduces the time spent by 1 day for every alternate class feature gained or lost.

Nascent Notoriety (From The Wormwood Mutiny)
Your actions have earned you a modicum of respect on the high seas, and you gain 5 points of Disrepute and 5 points of Infamy. Disrepute behaves in many ways like Prestige Points, allowing you to leverage your reputation to purchase a small number of boons; Prestige Points and Disrepute are not interchangeable unless otherwise noted. Infamy behaves in many ways like Fame, tracking the total number of Disrepute points that you have earned in your career, and you may use you Infamy instead of your Fame when determining the maximum gp value of items purchased from your faction. As you continue your adventures in the Shackles, your Disrepute and Infamy will grow, as will the ways in which you may spend Disrepute.

Fearsome Reputation (1+ Disrepute) (From The Wormwood Mutiny)
:When you make an Intimidate check or a saving throw against a fear effect, you may spend 1 point of Disrepute to gain a +1 bonus on the roll. For every additional point of Disrepute you spend, increase the bonus by r (maximum +5).

Captured Ship (1+ Disrepute) (From The Wormwood Mutiny)
You may spend any number of Disrepute to reduce the cost of purchasing the Ship vanity (Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Pathfinder Society Field Guide 62) by an equal number of Prestige Points. If you reduce the cost to o Prestige Points, you gain the Ship vanity for free. You may only use Disrepute to reduce the cost of a single ship.

Burgeoning Notoriety (From Plunder & Peril - Rum Punch)
Your actions have earned you a modicum of respect on the high seas, and you gain 5 points of Disrepute and 5 points of Infamy. Disrepute behaves in many ways like Prestige Points, allowing you to leverage your reputation to purchase a small number of boons; Prestige Points and Disrepute are not interchangeable unless otherwise noted. Infamy behaves in many ways like Fame, tracking the total number of Disrepute points that you have earned over your career, and you may use you Infamy instead of your Fame when determining the maximum gp value of items purchased from your faction. As you continue your adventures in the Shackles, your Disrepute and Infamy will grow, as will the ways in which you may spend Disrepute.

Avast Ye! (1+ Disrepute) (From Plunder & Peril - Rum Punch)
Before attempting a Diplomacy or a Perform (oratory) check when addressing a pirate or a creature with the aquatic or water subtype, you may spend 1 point of Disrepute to gain a +1 bonus on the check. For each additional point of Disrepute you spend, increase the bonus by 1 (maximum +5).

[ ] Rum Punch Champion (From Plunder & Peril - Rum Punch)
You participated in the festival games honoring Cayden Cailean, breaking several records and earning you more than a few awards. Choose one of the following three boons, and cross the others off your Chronicle sheet. Using the boon is a free action and requires you check the accompanying check box. If you have already used the boon, you may activate it again by spending 2 Disrepute.

Pit Challenger: You can use this boon to gain the benefits of the Improved Unarmed Strike feat for 1d4+1 rounds. If you already have the Improved Unarmed Strike feat, you instead gain a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with unarmed strikes for 1d4+1 rounds. If you are in an urban setting, double these bonuses.

Archelon Eggs (From Plunder & Peril - Dangerous Waters))
You recovered several archelon eggs and kept one to incubate and raise as your own. If you have the divine bond, mount, or nature bond class ability—or a similar feature that grants you an animal companion—instead of choosing an animal from the list provided by the ability, you may instead select an archelon (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 3 311). If the archelon already appears on your list of available animal companions, you can instead treat your effective druid level as one higher when determining an archelon animal companion’s bonus HD, natural armor bonus, Strength and Dexterity bonus, bonus tricks, and special abilities. This boon cannot increase your effective druid level more than one level above your actual character level.

Growing Notoriety (From Plunder & Peril - Dangerous Waters))
Your actions have earned you some respect on the high seas, and you gain 5 points of Disrepute and 5 points of Infamy.

To the Seas, Ya Landlubber! (3+ Disrepute) (From Plunder & Peril - Dangerous Waters))
As a standard action, you can cast touch of the sea as a spell-like ability using your character level as your caster level. If you use this boon as a full-round action, you can touch up to six other targets to share the spell’s effects with them, though doing so costs an additional 3 Disrepute per additional target.
