Ring-a-ding-ding for us all! Level 4 is quite the threshold for me!
Given that this encounter does not add anything to the plot I will assume you handle yourselves admirably and move you onto the next encounter, which does add to the plot
I will have limited computer/internet access from July 8 - 20, so please feel free to bot my character during this time. I will try to check in as I can, but posting will be sporadic and probably very short.

I'm sorry, could you please remind me, OOC, what we are in fact here for?

I'll be travelling to see the eclipse the next couple days, but I should be able to keep up.
I posted an action early because I am going to be travelling the next two days, and probably won't get many chances to check in. Please feel free to bot Emmett as needed.

Well gosh, that's...mysterious (and I know how scary that can be, but then I'm exceptionally neurotic).
I'm picturing a spider building an oddly-legible web above your bed....

My father is having open heart surgery in the next couple days, so there will probably be no posts from me until Sunday. If anything changes, I will let you all know.

@DM: Next time I am targeted by the gaze attack, I will use Shadow Speaker to gain +2 to my saving throw.
I am going to be out for the next few days recovering from a surgery. I am unsure of the recovery time, but I hope to be back in a few days, a week at the latest. Please feel free to bot me while I am gone.
Huh, so I thought cure spells that were used to harm undead still dealt full damage to incorporeal undead... but I just looked at it and it's a bit of a decisive matter, but leaning towards half damage for spells, but full for channel energy. So GM, would using my Fervor for positive energy also only be half damage?
Strangely enough it seems to do standard damage.
The important bit being:
"Even when hit by spells or magic weapons, it takes only half damage from a corporeal source."
Fervor is a supernatural ability, so go for it! (Note that a spell-like ability would fall under spells)

Totally understandable. I will be a bit freer soon, as our major local events will be winding down and I expect to finish another PbP in the next week or two.
Using the line feature of the Google slide, I can draw a straight line between Tori and the enemy without crossing through friendly squares.
I can't manage to draw a line from any of your corners to the lower left corner of the sea cat that does not pass through Grisaia.

To determine whether your target has cover from your ranged attack, choose a corner of your square. If any line from this corner to any corner of the target’s square passes through a square or border that blocks line of effect or provides cover, or through a square occupied by a creature, the target has cover (+4 to AC).
It did not matter for this shots, because you hit regardless of the cover, but I want us to be on the same page for this.

I might have missed something that gives it additional hit points, but this is why I thinks it is destroyed

You're talking to people who live in a country where most people *only* know English...and they STILL can't be counted on to speak it as well as you do. Don't apologize.

Yeah, I agree with your assessment, GM. My memory of the cover rules was foggy, and I should've reviewed them briefly before posting that. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

If I made a sufficient Knowledge (Nature) check to know that they had too many HD for cause fear to work (which is what it sounds like is the case), could I have a retroactive do-over, since Xasay would have known and therefore wouldn't have tried it if he knew better? I would have done that, but I was being a bit lazy because A) I kind of assumed they didn't have too many HD, and B) I was trying to keep things expedient because of the PbP format.
Knowledge (Nature) if you'll permit this course of action:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

@Grisaia: This looks like a sterling moment for Diplomacy, and yours is substantially better than mine.
This is a good point to pauze the action for the Christmas break, I will be offline between the 22nd and the 29th, after that we will investigate the monastery.
