GMG's PbP: Shackles adventures (Inactive)

This is the discussion thread for the shackles games that I intend to run:

1) Skulls and Shackles - Wormwood Mutiny sanctioned content (2-4)
2) Plunder and Peril part 1 (3-5)
3) Plunder and Peril part 2 (4-6)
4) Skulls and Shackles - Raiders of the Fever Sea sanctioned content (5-7) ?
5) Plunder and Peril part 3 (5-7)

4) Is not certain, depending on party composition and level. To be decided after 3)

The series will be played with standard PFS characters.

Please dot in with the character you intend to use.

Welll...I'm looking at 3 excellent choices:

An unhinged Druid - if you think she's creepy, wait till you meet her Companion!

A kindly puppeteer who doesn't understand why people seem so frightened of him sometimes....

and

A flippant, cosmopolitan Elf with a big shiny sword and a long dark coat - guess which one you should be more afraid of?

I think I'll make my decision based on what the rest of the party have, but all of the PCs I have are melee combatants.

Bargus Highbrew: Qinggong Sensei Drunken Master Ouat monk 4. A constantly half-drunk dwarf ouat who knows that a little alcohol is what is needed to release the body's natural limiters to reach perfection and carries around his own keg to make sure that he can do so whenever it is needed. He can inspire courage and comptenence; he will eventually share his qinggong and monk powers, too. Finally, he has great knowledge skills thanks to his obedience to Irori to hone his mind as well as his liver.

The Scratcher: Snakebite Striker brawler 2/ Warpriest of Milani 1. A street fighter turned to a higher calling, the man known as the Scratcher uses exotic weapons to defend himself and strike at his opponents, disarm them, and strike them again. Simple-minded and direct, he sees himself as working towards becoming the ultimate bodyguard as part of his devotion to Milani.

Iron Feathers: Unbreakable figther 1/Invulnerable Rager unchained barbarian 3. A tengu raised in a shoanti tribe, Iron Feathers explores to show the prowess of his tribal upbringing. He is smart enough to know when to be silent, but doesn't cower to idiots.

This is Silas' level 4 ranged Fighter character. It looks like I'll have to play a couple of the higher scenarios on slow progression. Her background intersects with the Andoran fleet and she has Profession (sailor) so it seems to be the best fit on my end.

I was planning on Qillion Jones, an ex-pirate put on the straight and narrow, although the old ways still pull at him. He is a half-orc Brawler 2.

I also have available:
Emmett Lathrop, Human Gunslinger 1 / Brawler 1 (sort of a cross between Billy the kid and McGuyver, as if played by Owen Wilson)

Jaxal, an Elf Empiricist (Investigator) 1 / Inspired Blade (Swashbuckler) 1, who is a bit of a fancy-pants/smarty-pants.

Any of these would be fun for adventure on the high seas.

I also have available:

I must confess, this guy sounds particularly fun to me. Owen Wilson's always a good time.

I leave the party composition entirely up to the players.

So far I see an abundance of damage output and little to no magic. It might also be that skills are lacking...

Yes, well, any of my 3 suggested characters could help address that in various ways.

Who hasn't yet checked in? Do we have any "locks and traps" people yet (my Occultist would address that)? How about healers? I think I'd prefer to be either my Occultist or Bard to my Druid.

Emmett here does have +13 disable device although he isn't all that stealthy. But he always likes tinkering with things.

It's possible they've been misdirected somehow. There was a bit there where the initial Recruitment thread didn't seem to link to anything else. You might want to send them a PM and a link to make sure they can find the proper URL.

Nope! Nor will she: She failed her Will save as well as her Fortitude save, and hence is now newt in mind as well as body.

She was a cruel Aspis Consortium slaver before, so it's really an improvement. :)

In other news, have we met any Silver Crusade Faction Objectives this adventure (this character's still playing off the sheet from a Season or two ago)?

Make a Swim check once per round while you are in the water. Success means you may swim at up to half your speed (as a full-round action) or at a quarter of your speed (as a move action). If you fail by 4 or less, you make no progress. If you fail by 5 or more, you go underwater.

I assume you mean the season 6 faction card with nothing in the lower right corner.

Faction card for Season 7 has a 7 in the lower right corner, while season 8 has the season 8 symbol.
