Amelia blasts the remaining copy and your version of Kreighton shouts out a helpful spell. The woman steps back and casts a spell herself, granting her multiple images to confuse you.

Everyone is now hasted. A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Also, an extra attack if you full-attack. And add 30 to your speed up to a max of up to double your current speed.

Amelia sends another bolt at the woman, trying to whittle away at the images.

With no prior experience with abruptly doing things faster, Kahel found her aim thrown off. It was only her natural agility and long practice that allowed her to at least partly direct the energy where she wanted it to go. Hopefully that was good enough, but she doubted it.

Don't think so, just like I can't do an extra attack with kinetic blasts (but could if using kinetic blade and making a full attack).

Amelia, as Kahel said, you don't get to cast more than one spell (wand or otherwise) but the good news is that your first magic missile ignores the mirror images.

Wraith will take a 5' step away from Red and then pulls out a rope and ties up the blue woman.

Seelah, shield and sword in hand, advances to the space in front of Wraith and power attacks with a mighty sword swing at the red lady.

Solange positions again to spare her friends and casts. 15 foot cone of Color spray with Awesome Display - DC 15 Will save and -4 HD lower

Amiri and Seelah charge in unison but only succeed in shattering images. Kahel blasts another image while Solange's display passes harmlessly by. Wraith ties the downed copy up and only Amelia strikes true with her missile. The remaining copy casts a spell and smashes Amiri with her glowing blue quarterstaff, delivering a blast of frigid power into her veins. She feels staggered by the blow.

Kreighton shouts "Destroy these copies of the Lady, we must weaken her resolve!"

Utilizing her accelerated state, Kahel raced across the room to stand near the pillar. She thrust her hand out, and once more electricity arced towards her foe. Even as she continued to fight, Kahel was crying. Why is she doing this? Why does she force our hand so?

Amiri destroys another image just as Seelah steps up and finishes off the last one. Left wide open, Seelah connects again with her quickened attack and Kahel maneuvers and blasts her with remorse. As the energy intertwines with her form, she collapses and melts instantly into nothingness. The other copy of Lady Arodeth lays motionless on the floor under Solange, bound by Wraith's ropes.

Amiri will no longer be staggered

With one of the copies gone Kahel approached the other one. This one had been tied up. And the logical part of her whispered that killing this woman here and now would save lives. And yet hadn't enough people already died? Who was she to act as judge, jury, and executioner? As tears flowed she looked down upon their defeated foe.

"Her existence puts our lives at risk. Even endangers all of history. I should kill her and be done with it. And yet... I can't do this. too many have died this day already. Too much blood has been spilled. Her madness needs to be stopped, but I can't do it. Gods above, I can't take her life."

Solange steps to the side.

Nearly sick with revulsion, Amelia once again steps forward with her sword and tries to give the woman a humane ending.

Watching her companions preform such a heinous act over and over sickened Kahel. She turned away, unable to watch any longer. It was wrong, she knew in her heart it was wrong. Yet being forced into this position didn't ease the pain. No no no no no... she thought as her stomach churned and heart ached. This isn't why I joined...

"Why?" She pleaded, not truly expecting an answer.

OK, assuming you finish the job in the next round

The shadowy image of Lady Arodeth finally succumbs to the assault and vanishes in a wisp of cold air.

More images seem to be forming from the machinery in the room. Contradictory orders start ringing out in the room.

"The dome remains, we must release more of the anchors."

"No! We must remain here and destroy the clones of the Lady. Only then can we convince her to stop this madness."

"But the dome will seal our fate to the starstone! Even Lady Arodeth cannot release us from this time until it is gone."

So, once again a choice in the waning moments of the scenario. Challenge more clones, go outside and try to release the remaining anchors, or face Lady Arodeth herself on your own. We have time for maybe one or two more encounters before your collective fates are sealed.

Amelia is grateful when the form finally dissolves into mist and air, but she cannot unsee what has been seen. Visibly swallowing her gorge, she looks around at her companions. Her voice is harsh and her eyes hard, but her hands tremble, giving away her inner turmoil. "The only "why" is why would Lady Arodeth cause all of this in the first place. But I have no stomach for facing her for answers. Lets finish with the anchors, and be done with this mess."

"I agree. We never should have gone into a situation where the best possible outcome is that we keep things the same."

I vote anchors, maybe the commanding man if he is still there.

"Let us try to reason with the anchors."

You quickly race up the steps to the city streets above. A glowing man talking in a commanding voice, surrounded by local citizens whispering in Azlanti dominates the view as you step out from the fountain area. He maneuvers down the street, leading a throng of excited citizens, some weeping, others averting their eyes from his presence.

As for him, he nimbly takes a step up the fountain and begins to juggle three apples.

Without looking directly at you, he says "Isn't this the loveliest of days?"

As you look above and see the starstone perilously close to impact, it is hard to agree with that statement.

Haste is over, don't forget to heal Amiri on the way over.

Amelia quickly taps Amiri several times with her wand, healing the cuts and wounds she suffered inside the vault.

Approaching the man with her hands empty and outstretched, Amelia beseeches him. "Sir, Please listen to us. You have been bespelled, and are part of a greater plan to kill many undeserving people! Please give up this insanity! Lady Arodeth lied to you!"

The green dome overhead ripples and flexes, visibly weakened but still present. The same woman’s voice from earlier booms from everywhere and nowhere at once.

“This… this isn’t what I wanted. I wanted a world with purpose again—with certainty. But I suppose there is no greater way to die than in the same fiery cataclysm that marked Aroden’s first step toward divinity. Join me in martyrdom, Pathfinders, and try to die with some dignity.”

Tables, we no longer need any anchors successes! All that's left is to retake the vault!

"Lady, life always has purpose. And your not just risking your life, but possibly everyone in our time period. Still, we don't have time for your madness. Although it pains me, we must try to stop the source before it's too late. May the gods have mercy on us for what we must do."

I vote for holding the line, we may be out matched if we try dealing with Arodeth herself.

"But I am the aspect of Aroden, I cannot be fooled... I.. I..."
The man stammers and falls to the ground as the dome begins to collapse.

An arc of green lightning gathers above and crashes to the surface, leaving something bizarre in its wake. A large blob of greyish green goo. It gathers to attack.

"Good, the man says, a final test for you..." he then collapses as well.

Wraith will draw and throw a shuriken at the creature and then move, shouting "Spread out!" as she does.
