Kahel never said where he's from. he just showed up one day looking for a job that let him be around books. His love of cataloging and organizing quickly found him a place among the dark archive. Someone has to keep record of what is where, and what hasn't been looked into yet after all. Even so, he's always been considered a little odd. When others are suffering during the heat of summer, Kahel would continue working like it was nice and cool. And the fact he often had a light breeze blowing around him even when underground or indoors was noted.

Of course, a tavern brawl is when some of his other abilities had come to light. Shortly after rendering two dwarves and a half orc unconscious without actually touching them during a particularly rough brawl he got called in to see one of the Venture Captains. This was the first time he got sent into the field, but Kahel had known it probably wasn't going to be the last.

Working in the Dark Archive is hazardous enough. Sometimes those dangers aren't obvious. Take a belt that someone had recovered. That it had transformitive magic was known. But the exact nature of the magic was something nobody in his department could figure out. Since Kahel was still considered a rookie, it was his turn to try on the potentially dangerous object. It was the only way left of determining it's function. Annoyingly, all the belt did was reverse Kahel's gender. One completely new wardrobe later and he was sent on his, now her, third field mission.

The day Kahel finally revealed that she was not in fact human like everybody assumed was a very fun day. Witnessing the jaw dropping shock of her superiors was hilarious. Best Prank Ever.
