Realizing that shooting the woman might be a bad idea, Jaysin will listen to Random's idea and fire two arrows at the cannister.

Random swings but misses the tendril. Jaysin fires two arrows and hits the cannister easily enough but his arrows don't seem to have hit hard enough to do any damage to the metallic object.

The damn cannister is tough! Somebody try to sever the cords from that woman and I'll keep trying to puncture that can! Jaysin will move in closer in order to get a better angle on the cannister he has been asked to destroy.

Nari casts a menacing glare are Imrizade "We will try and find a way to save you. Those tendrils are just nasty. No one should ever ever have to deal with that." thinking about what she just said Nari falls into a fit of uncontrollable giggling. The volume of the laughing increases until the fit of giggles can be heard all across the room.
Standard Action - Cast Evil Eye (-2 to Attack) (DC 15-fail:7 rounds, pass:1 round). Move Action - Cackle (extend duration of Evil eye by 1 round)

Maybe hardness? Which is usually a lot higher than DR.
Omorose moves up and attempts to tear one of the gross umbilical things from Imrizade, but her efforts are feeble.

Manzcar may be down. I think his last post said he had 7 hp, and then her attack did 8 hp.
The tendrils don't count as an aberration, by any chance, do they? Aberrations are Random's favored enemy.
Random tries again to cut the tendrils, and misses completely. "I swear they're moving!"

"Maybe try removing it? If anyone can reach it?"
Answering his own question, Random steps back, dropping his sword, and then tries climbing the arch.

Ah, sorry. I forgot that Manzcar fell from that last hit. He'll still need a stabilize check:

@Jaysin: no DR but metal has hardness, which you would need adamantine to bypass-which is not likely at this level
Manzcar lies bleeding on the ground while Imrizade stands there dazed. Phyton imbues his weapon with holy power and Jaysin fires another two arrows at the canister, to no avail.

Nari gives the Blakros girl that look and she seems ashamed of herself. Omorose and Random go after the tendrils but have no luck.
You guys have the feeling that even if the tendrils are severed they have still implanted themselves in her and will continue to have control over her until the canister is destroyed. But if you knock her out first then you can take your time with the canister.

Jaysin reconsiders the situation and finds that he may have no other recourse but to attack the poor woman and then recover her from the state she currently is in. Sorry lady, but I'm afraid you'll have to go down before we can bring you back up.

Omorose grabs her cloak and attempts to lash it into Imrizade's eyes, but almost trips herself up instead. She then moves around to give Jaysin a clearer shot and perhaps offer a flank.

Nari gives the woman another look and she seems to have let her guard down a bit. Random tries to climb the arch again but is having trouble.

Hells! Random bounces on his feet as he lands from this last attempt, and finds himself directly next to the possessed Blackros. So he tries to grab her.

Omorose, gritting her teeth against the pain of her wounds, attempts to disarm the woman with her dagger, and to her own surprise succeeds before stepping back dropping her dagger and plucking up the rapier.

Random falls down and gets stabbed in the process but is able to grab ahold of Imrizade. Attacks, maneuvers, and saves always auto-succeed on a 20. Omorose then knocks the woman's rapier out of her hand. Manzcar swings from the ground but has no luck.

Some of Imrizade's wounds heal as she breaks free of Random's grasp.

-8 currently with a Con of 12. I believe her fast healing continues to work though so she will eventually become conscious again. But basically you guys have a few rounds to tie her up.
With the possessed Blakros girl secured down, the party is able to take their time beating the strange metal canister into submission. A strange gooey brain-like substance oozes out of the smashed container. Imrizade suddenly snaps out of her trance. "Kubburum!" she screams, looking at the filth puddled on the floor. "Damn you, what did you do to me?"
Just then the Gate at the end of the chamber begins twisting and shaking itself apart over several moments before finally disintegrating in a blinding flash. Imrizade stares, shocked, at the party for several moments before she begins to sob uncontrollably, muttering her thanks to you for saving her life from the foul creature who took her over and apologizing over and over again for meddling in something beyond her power.
Congrats everyone! That finishes up "Voice in the Void!" I'll get chronicle sheets out soon and start up a thread for the next game for those of you interested.

Thoroughly enjoyed it Endless Forms, thanks for running! I'll be altering Omorose's build for the next game so she can contribute a little more. If we managed to get 2PP, big if, a wand will go a long way allowing her to use her spell slots for offence.
