GMDB - A Vision of Betrayal (Inactive)

Welcome everyone!

I tend to run my games fast and loose. Combat will be completed using Google Drive. In combat, or in a situation where you are affected by an effect, I tend to roll your saves for you, and continue writing the post based on that. I will also roll Perception checks to find traps, and disable device rolls.

I expect people to post daily, Monday - Friday, to keep things moving. I usually update in the morning EDT. If enough people have posted during the course of the day i may also make a late afternoon/early evening update. If you haven't posted in the last 24 hours, and have not notified me of your absence, and we are in a combat situation, you will be put on Full Defense, or I will GMPC your character as well as I can.

Please put your Pathfinder Society number either in your stat block or somewhere on your character's profile page. It will make things much easier for me when it comes time to report the event.

Finally, despite my best efforts, I am a human being. Occasionally I make mistakes. If you feel as though I've made an incorrect ruling please call me on it...either in this Discussion thread or via PM. I think you'll find that 99.9% of the time I'm completely reasonable. In a nutshell if you're not having fun then I'm not doing my job....and if that's the case I want to hear about it.

Welcome Stromar....I'll try not to be too intimidated by the fact that such an experienced and accomplished GM is playing in my game! I'm counting on you to keep me honest!

Just a quick note that I've invited Tyra Flecha to join our table. So that puts us at 6 players with strong offensive capabilities. As long as ya'll remember to pack a blanket and some long underwear you'll be fine!

I don't anticipate getting into the nitty gritty until after the weekend...so feel free to RP a little bit and make any last minute adjustments to your characters.

No faction missions in the First Steps scenarios...but you still get 2PP at the end.

Oh! That's good news. My bad for not remembering that.

I wasn't able to update my status by noon yesterday because my phone didn't want to access Paizo's site. I'll try for at least twice to three times a day depending on activity but will be going offshore for work on Friday. That means I'll be posting very early and/or very late.

No worries...I have no complaints about anyone's posting rate. In fact I'm quite impressed!

No worries...I pretty much consider PbPs a weekday affair! I'll set up the next encounter a little bit later this morning; but I'm heading into Boston today so you may not hear much from me until tomorrow.

And just so we're clear...I'm not moving this story forward one inch until we see Stromar's reaction to Twigg's offer to bathe him!

Let me know if you want me to let up on my RP of a sheltered Aasimar with a lot to prove. I seek to live her up to the full glory of 7 CHA but want to keep my character interaction fun for everyone. I don't want to antagonize the players... just your characters.

Can I wait and see what Veniera says to Small Otti before posting? She might have a better chance than Iolande does of sweet-talking him

We haven't heard from Veniera in a while...I'll bot a Diplomacy roll for her to keep things moving. After that a halfway decent Diplomacy roll from Iolande may give Otti a nudge in your favor!

Apologies for my absence. I've been unexpectedly busy with life things, but I should be able to get vack in the swing of things in the next day or so.

Can you make day job checks untrained? Twigg would be good at perform just based on his charisma.

This is my first PFS character, so I'll keep that in mind for the future and when Twigg levels up.

Beman Thank you for running this game for me I had a wonderful time. I had a great time playing Tyra as an obnoxious child annoying the other team members. I had fun putting effort in annoying Stromar because as someone who loves to play Dwarven characters your reactions gave me ideas for my most stubborn characters. The Twigg almost hitting me with a color spray was great. It worked well to show how inexperienced our first level characters were in combat. I hope to play my Senile Tiefling Wizard with a shred of your creativity. I have never played a female character so I just used memories of my sisters getting mad at me as inspiration was fun in itself. Moll, I really enjoyed our exchange as well it took me about 30 minutes to write it. Veniera & Iolande I hope we play again some time if you'll let me I'll make fun of your characters too.
