About Tyra Flecha

Background:

For as long as Tyra can remember she was raised under the strict rule of her 'owner' a Cheliax Countess. Tyra was kept as a prized slave due to her gorgeous Cerulean Wings. She was well fed and dressed in the finest garments. She had to adhere to a strict exercise regime to maintain her Master's desired exotic appearance in her cruel menagerie. Tyra was a trophy kept in jewel crusted prison used to showcase Countess' political power by keeping a celestial pet in the heart of Cheliax. She shared her prison with many other exotic and prized slaves. The Fey and Mephits provided for some of Tyra's few innocent memories. Playing hide and seek was made “fair” by Tyra's innate ability to see invisibility.

Tyra would even accompany the Countess to dinner parties. The Cheliax nobility was never hesitant to berate the child. Belittling her in battles of wit to prove their superiority over the so called righteous. The Countess was swift to chastise Tyra's rebuttals and prohibited any access to educational material not related to combat. Tyra was needed for her looks, agility and brawn. Tyra's rebellious nature was always kept in check by the Countess' private devil guard who took great pleasure in intimidating the celestial child. Tyra is no stranger to the presence of strict overwhelming evil.

Part of Tyra's routine was to frequent Gladiatorial bouts. It was the Countess' dream to one day pit Tyra against other gladiators to earn bragging rights in her political circles. Perhaps even earn the favor of Queen Abrogail II herself with the offer of such a unique champion slave. Tyra was trained to fight by the many instructors that the Countess' coffers could provide. One of her instructors, a Tiefling Rouge that could easily pass for human, was tortured and put to death when he was caught training Tyra in rouge skills that didn't pertain to combat. His actions were viewed as a direct attempt to aid a potential fugitive slave. Tyra was forced to watch the long and arduous torture sessions and eventual death of her instructor.

The Countess didn't know that the instructor killed was an accomplished member of the Shadow Lodge. He had left detailed instructions to the Shadow Lodge that if a rescue team were ever sent to retrieve his body that Tyra was to be rescued as well.

Tyra finds it difficult to trust humans and feels more at home among magical creatures. Humans represent both her captors and her saviors. Humans will always be her first favored enemy followed in close step by Evil Outsiders. She has joined the church of Desna due to its strong views against slavery.
