It was kind of an odd situation I I imagined ting walking right up and started talking to him, then the conversation happened so quickly both "In Game" and "In PBP." I'm not really sure which would have been the best thing to do, wait for others to comment, or assume everyone stuck together, or what.

But I understand that it was a difficult thing. When I was posting I was thinking ting walked right up to him and when he stepped away ting stepped with him. I didn't think the man would actually go for a weapon in the middle of a conversation with ting standing that close. I didn't consider about where everyone else was at, or what a "Combat Map" would have to look like, oh well, live and learn.

The worst thing is I didn't even look to see if the map was up or not until init was rolled.

Hopefully we will be ok ;) Next time I will try and be more specific or give options, like "If the team follows I will do ....fill in the blank"

Having said that, I do appreciate that we didn't get bogged down talking about what we might do in case of whatever. I don't mind a little strategy, but not when combat is supposed to happen.

Theoretically the characters are making split decisions. Not huddling up, drawing up a play, then going to the line and someone saying "Hike" sorry American football reference which I love, But that's not how RPG combat is supposed to happen, or at least that's not my understanding of it.

Ting has a natural attack (bite). If he uses it with a regular attack it becomes secondary and at -5. If I understand right, since he has two weapon fighting, he could use the bastard sword and the natural attack as two weapons fighting so both at -2. Would the natural attack still get full strength or would he have to use half strength?

He used to peck just for flavor, but I haven't done that for a while.

Natural weapons deal only half str, when combined with manifactured weapon attacks.

I think that TWF doesn't include the bite.

You're fighting with a main hand and an off hand weapon, if you do TWF.

Hi all. Very sorry I've not been back in sooooo long. After getting my new computer together, re-installing all my programs, games (still haven't reinstalled Herolab nor Open Office yet.) and still in the process of rebuilding various files from what's in my head but on Friday I pulled my back out and have been in an incredible amount of pain. Sitting down has been a struggle so I've been unable to even write for the past week let alone leave my house due to the pain. It's still a struggle to walk around the house and travel to the bathroom.

I even ended up spending over half-an-hour stuck in the bath because I didn't want to admit that I didn't have the strength to get myself out of the bath due to this pain and stiffness.

I've managed to stretch it well now and even though I'm still in pain, I'm going to try and catch up and read through all the pages.
