Rolling for Joseph.
Perform (Oratory): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Will be working on the chronicles now.

GM Chyro |

Game reported.
I'll send them, but i need a mail from Carr where i can send it to.
Can you send me PM about that, thanks.
Other than that, you're 992 richer!
Edit: could you guys please check if the session isn't reported 2x.
My browser went nuts for a moment, making me fill in the form again.

GM Chyro |

I guess things were ok then.
If it's okay with you guys, i'd like to start with Darkest Vengeance on Monday.
Intro post could come earlier, knowing me ^^
You might want to purchase something aoo, if that is available to you.
The optional encounter can be tricky, if you want to have that encounter included.

GM Chyro |

That is 1 for ('yes we'll take that encounter') ?

GM Chyro |

Area of Effect.
Aura of Evil.
All of Everything.
Almost on Edge.

GM Chyro |

Those who survive, will hit lvl 5.
Sounds nice, eh?

![]() |

Area of Effect. Alchemist's Fire, Acid Flasks, a fireball scroll, something that can get rid of swarms. (The most common thing you need AoE for, I have not cheated).

![]() |

I didn't get to cast ANY of my buff spells that game. My buffs are what make me amazing.

![]() |

No, AMAZING. Okay, maybe it lets me make OTHERS amazing, but imagine Brallanera with +4 Str on top of her +4 Str.

![]() |

Or imagine her as a GIANTESS! An eight foot dwarf! The things I could do to her... *wink*

![]() |

Despite the tone of my previous message here, I resent the implication that Brallenera and I have anything other than a professional relationship.

2 people marked this as a favorite. |

So, "professional relationship," does that mean someone is paying someone?

![]() |

I was hoping someone would use the "world's oldest profession" joke, Ting. I am a merchant, after all. And she is my muscle, as mentioned in the previous session.

![]() |

I am going to do such horrible things to this guy, he has no clue.

GM Chyro |

I am relieved that at least one of you three had survived that assassination attempt.
Still feel bad for Ting, and likely J/J.

GM Chyro |

Ting, do you have enough prestige to get yourself revived?
I think Joseph should have enough, i don't recall him mentioning big prestige purchases.

![]() |

he has 12 pp, trying to decide how much ting is enjoying being in Nirvana.

GM Chyro |

Tell Cobain i have fond memories of Smells like Teen Spirit.
Edit:
The joke aside, removing a negative lvl is 2 PP.
Revival was 5, i think. It's in the guide.

I do? I'm trying to rebuild my character sheets after losing many of them and still not reached Joseph yet.

Sorry Joseph, It was not my intention to confuse you, when I said "He" I meant ting.

GM Chyro |

So, in light of current situation, you have the means to cover the cost of reviving Joseph & Ting, and removing negative levels.
Whatever is down there can wait a couple of days, it's not going anywhere.
Going in by just the 2 of you would otherwise be ill advised.
Just let me know if you would like to do that, or intend to do something else.

![]() |

I was asking Brallenera. Carr would like to have a birdy punching bag and a J.

Hey GM Chyro, what are the rules on bringing someone back from the dead? I realize that we give up 5 pp for the resurrection and 2 pp for the removing of a negative level. What I mean, is Ting Required to come back to life in this game and finish it? If I don't bring him back for this game and I play him in another game I would spend the 5 PP to resurrect him, but then he could just be a level lower, right? Or does PFS require him to finish the game he died in? I assume if he doesn't finish this game that he wouldn't get the credit for it but he would still be able to play at a table at a convention or in a different game, correct?

GM Chyro |

Yes and no.
No: If you want to buy your revival at the end of this session, that's possible.
Yes: If you want to keep being able to play Ting.
If you want any reward, you have to be alive. You get rewarded for every encounter you participate in, and need at least 3 participations to get that 1 XP point.
That said, if you remain dead for the rest of this session and want to pay at the start of a new mission, you'd be too late.
PFS requires you to have revived yourself, if you want to be able to continue playing, since if i have to report your PC as dead, he'll be registered as dead.

At the moment I am less concerned about the xp or the pp he would earn. If I leave this game and ting is dead would I be able to put ting in a separate non related game by spend the points at the beginning of the game to bring him back to life or does he need to be alive when he leaves this game?

GM Chyro |

To my knowledge, you have to enter alive to play.
It should be covered in the Death section in the Guide to organized play.
------------
Edit: Relevant text.
All conditions gained during an adventure, except for permanent negative levels, ability drain that does not reduce an ability score to 0, and conditions that provide no mechanical effect, must be resolved before the end of the session; if these are not resolved the character should be reported as ‘dead.’
If a PC cannot be raised from the dead during or immediately afer the scenario in which he died, that PC is dead and removed from play. In this instance, the GM reports that the character in question died during the
course of play on the tracking sheet provided with the scenario and on the character’s Chronicle for that scenario, and the player will need to make a new 1st-level character to continue play in Pathfnder Society.

Hey GM Chyro please hold the game. My computer is in the shop and I am using borrowed tech. If the game musty move forward immediately please consider ting too afraid to go back and he will be out of the game. I do not want him botted.

GM Chyro |

Ok Ting. It's the weekend anyway, no rush for anything.
This is just a trip back and forth, nothing immediate.

GM Chyro |

Guys, i am incorrect at the PP requirements for raise dead.
It costs 16 PP.
In gold, it costs 5450 gp.
I really hope this isn't the end of this campaign.
I'll hold this until you've decided.

GM Chyro |

In money yes, but i'm waiting for a reply from Ting regarding a PM i sent.

GM Hmm |

Hey All --
I'm Hilary, the Venture Lieutenant in charge of PbP Online Play. So, I am here because both GM Chyro and Ting asked me if I could review what happened here in this game, and how the relevant deaths happened. This is a murky situation that took several days to review and discuss, because lots of factors were in play.
First off I would like to state that GM Chyro played this scenario straight. The thugs are supposed to attempt to deceive you, drug you then attempt to murder you in your sleep. This being Play-by-Post, other factors came into play. People were slow to respond to a request to form a watch, and the GM wished to keep the game moving.
I am a fan of PbP botting. No one bots more than I do. Still, the botting in this case (which could be considered the natural extension of having drugged characters who might have impaired judgment) led to a loss of player agency at a crucial juncture. Under these very specific circumstances, we are offering free healing, raises and restorations. I will let Chyro work out how and why the temple makes this offer. The deaths happened, and will be part of your character's backstories from now on.
We are not resurrection fairies, so please understand that this is a one time offer.
I hope that the rest of your game goes well!
Yours,
Hmm

GM Chyro |

Guys, just make sure you don't die again.
