I have not done the math in a while but alchemical crafting but the RaW is pretty slow and might not be worth the wait. I'll go along with group think though.
Gizsmith Glitterbyte
Hypothetically, if I made the antitoxin(x3) it would save us 100gp.
and would take
Craft(antitoxin) DC25: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32
32x25=800
antitoxin =500sp, so like 2-3 weeks to make them, which is absolutely not worth it. No wonder everyone is an adventurer. Working for a living is a sucker's game.
Nevermind, I rescind my offer. Let's just buy them.
Corentin the Younger
One other item that came to mind was some scrolls of lesser restoration to augment Jag. We already hit a strength drainer, it would be good to have a few around.

That cuts the time by an order of magnitude and will help a lot - 2 days instead of 20. But is that till 20 days per alchemical, or can you make a larger batch?
And are we ready to get this part of the adventure started? I am itching to go.
Gizsmith Glitterbyte
Ugh, must have forgotten to hit submit yesterday... and re-post...
Craft antiplague DC25: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32
So 800 craft points again, Each dose is 50 craft points. Assuming larger batches are possible, it would take 2 days per craft, so 4 days to save us 200gp, which seems worth it.
Regardless of crafting, I wouldn't mind a day or two to scribe some scrolls for the journey. So with crafting, I'm thinking a week of downtime before we head out. That seems a reasonable thematic time frame to prepare for a voyage after the raid. Sound ok?
@GM CT: Are their any scrolls for sale in town?
Also this seems a good time to introduce you all to my wagon
This vehicle is a large wooden wagon drawn by a pair of long haired donkeys. It has a driver's seat area with an overhead awning that can seat three people comfortably. The main cabin sports two wooden panels on each side that can be altered by the owner to show any design or wording he or she desires by command. These panels can be raised like awnings to reveal several shelves which can provide storage for a merchant's wares. Each side of the wagon can store 12 cu. ft. of gear or 200 lbs. An entrance to the wagon is in the back and is accessed via folding stairs. The door is secured with an arcane lock and opened by a command word known to the owner. Inside the wagon there is enough space for four human sized creatures to sleep comfortably and the climate is always hospitable. The wagon comes with its own feed for its team and this feed replenishes nightly. It also has a spigot at the rear of the wagon that acts like a permanent create water, and can produce one gallon of potable water per minute.
Twice per week the owner of the Wonderful Wagon can command the vehicle and its team to shrink to the size of a small toy. It can stay in this form indefinitely. Returning the wagon to full size is a separate command that can be performed at will.
Once per day the owner of the Wonderful Wagon can rummage through its stores and produce 50gp worth of mundane gear or basic alchemical items of his or her choosing.
Gizsmith Glitterbyte
I think that between the crafting and the wagon's ability to produce up to 50gp of mundane and alchemical stuff per day, the cost should be free. Trips can correct me on that account.
I will scribe 2 scrolls of mage armour and 2 of infernal healing, 2 of enlarge person and 2 of shield. 200gp
With that, we can leave on the 6th day after the raid.

Wait, you really have that wagon now? How is that? It seems quite valuable to me. That ability to shrink down twice a week makes it almost as useful as portable hole.

Regarding survival in the swamp, there is six of us, plus mounts etc. May I suggest the following:
Group:
2 camping kits (24 gp)
1 cooking kit (3 gp)
1 masterwork survival kit (50 gp)
3 antitoxin (150 gp)
3 antiplague (150 gp)
Total: 377 gp
Total per person: 62.84 gpVermin repellent is quite good and lasts for 4 hours: 5 gp.
I recommend everybody buys some. I would buy 6 of them.
Let me know if you'd be okay with this.
Revised gear:
Group:2 camping kits (24 gp)
1 cooking kit (3 gp)
1 masterwork survival kit (50 gp)
3 antitoxin
3 antiplague
Total: 77 gp
Total per person: 12.84 gp
Vermin repellent is quite good and lasts for 4 hours: 5 gp.
I recommend everybody buys some. I would buy 6 of them.
I'll write the group's camping gear on my sheet. Please scratch that gold from your sheets.

The wagon was a character boon from Captain Trips during character creation. It pretty much takes care of most party storage and living needs. It's super valuable and incredibly useful, but no more durable than a standard wagon. I'm sure if we abuse it, it'll end up getting smashed by a giant.

lol. OK. I am sure it will be handy.
FYI - I am traveling for the next week and will be back home on August 30. I'll have limited posting until then, but I should be on some. And after I get back I am headed to Dragon Con on September 3 and will likely not post between the 3rd and 7th.
GM Captain Trips
Its a mostly fluff item, but it will have its uses to be sure. It fit with the character so I had a little fun designing something unique.
When you all have all of your housekeeping done please let me know and I will start with the next scene. I want to make sure I've given you ample time to take care of your buying and selling. Also please make sure your profiles are updated with all of your level 4 stats and details.
Corentin the Younger
I'll have Corentin's shopping list done today.
Did we ever id the last few items? (Locket and something else I believe).
GM Captain Trips
Hmm, I think we identified everything. Let me know if I missed anything. You all would have plenty of time to figure out the remaining items if you are taking a full 6 days to prep before leaving town.
Did anyone buy some of those arm "swimmies" for Jaghal? I have a feeling he's going to need them :P
Gizsmith Glitterbyte
I don't know if we got the weird locket with the lock of hair, identified/appraised and we didn't get a valuation on the set of war drums the orc bard used.
I think Giz is ready to head out, unless there are magic items for sale. Cloaks of resistance?
Corentin the Younger
Assuming I did this right :
Corentin took the armor, Potion of Bulls Strength and of Enlarge Person so I dropped 1175 out of the 2341gp and was left with 1066gp. From there he bought the following (let me know if anything wouldn't be available) :
Swan Feather Token : 450
Vermin Repellant x5 : 25
Military Saddle : 20
Bag of powder x2 : .02
Oil x2 : .2
Ioun Torch : 75
Scroll of Lesser Restoration x2 : 300
Scroll of Floating Disk x2 : 50
Total 920.22
GM Captain Trips
@Giz - You could find a +1 cloak of resistance without much issue, thats pretty standard fare.
The locket was identified I believe, but in case I somehow neglected to post the info:
True Love Locket
Slot: Neck
CL: 3rd
Aura: faint divination
These gold heart-shaped pendants, which open to reveal small hollows inside, always come in pairs and must be on the same plane of existence to function. When two people with a strong emotional bond (such as good friends, family members, or romantic partners) each wear one of the lockets containing a keepsake from the other person (usually a lock of hair or small picture), the lockets’ magic becomes evident. After 24 hours of wearing a linked locket, each wearer knows the condition of the other as via a constant status spell. In addition, when either wearer uses the aid another action to assist the wearer of the linked locket, the bonus gained is increased by 1. Lastly, once per day, each wearer may use one of the known skills of the wearer of the linked locket, as borrow skill (Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player’s Guide 207). If either wearer of a linked true love locket takes the pendant off, has it forcibly removed, is killed, or travels to another plane, both lockets cease to function until reattuned for 24 hours.
Gizsmith Glitterbyte
No worries Chief.
I will pick up a cloak of resistance.
And I will also pick up sleeves of many garments(200gp) and a traveler's any-tool(250gp) as well. So all together that's 1650gp (including the scribing costs.)
Corentin the Younger
No worries, take your time Corentin will be ready when you are.
GM Captain Trips
Sorry for my absence from the boards on Thursday and Friday. Our daughter-in-law unexpectedly went into labor on Thursday and we were at the hospital until Saturday. The good news is I am now a grandfather! I think there should be a law against someone having to be called a grandparent at 42, because now I'm somehow officially an old man. :)
Sasha the Mouse
I'm 48 (49 in two months), so I guess it's up to me to welcome you to the club. Your t-shirt is in the mail.
Congrats!!!
Gizsmith Glitterbyte
Very exciting!!
You picked up the Grandparent prestige class and have now gained +10 to spoiling and a -10 penalty to disciplining.
Corentin the Younger
Don't forget the +5 on Perception checks to notice your grandkids giving their parents the same grief you got when they were kids.
Jaghal
Hey Trips, are you sure about needing to touch someone to Life Link them? I mean, I've never heard about that, but if yu say so there must be a reason, right?
I'm probably missing something...
Gizsmith Glitterbyte
Life link is terribly worded. No where does it say how the link is established and just refers to 'medium' range which I think is 100 feet for pathfinder spells, if that's what it is referring to.
GM Captain Trips
@Jaghal - You make a valid point. I think this may be more of how I've always perceived the ability when playing my Life Oracle. Looking into the actual ability, as Giz stated, it actually doesn't say what the range is other than stating it is a standard action.
Since the wording fails to mention anything about it, I'm going to go ahead and operate under the assumption that the RAI go along with medium range for establishing a link. However, you so need to have line of effect and line of sight to your target, and you can only link with one person per standard action, as the wording supports that.
Does that work for you?
