Celia moves up the stairs to stand right behind Paeral .. she takes a quick peek around the corner to assess the situation, then whispers to Squint, “now might be a good time to summon something for fodder... let em waste their bolts on a dog summoned from the outer planes while I rush in and engage them with my blades... Celia then proceeds to toss the sunrod at the top of the stairs in front of Paeral and draws her longsword to accompany her Mithral shortsword... she looks over her shoulder to Squint to acknowledge that she’s ready to rush in just behind any creature the halfling summons.

With all the talk, not exactly sure where Reillana is right now...

Paëral leans back against the wall of the stairwell as he tightens the grip on his bow, whispering to his friends, "They have crossbows..."

Squint nods at Ulyi.

"This is where we come in," Squint says with anxiety and anticipation in his voice as he climbs onto the eidolon and pulls his new wand from his belt.

Use wand to cast mage armor on Ulyi.

"Delay them," Squint suggests to the others as he loosens his silver lance in its holder.

Squint then utters a recitation of magic for himself.

Cast mage armor on Squint (from his spells, not from the wand).

The eidolon grunts as the halfling climbs onto its back.

"This is going to be just like those Chaldira Zuzaristan stories, isn't it? Didn't she die in one of those stories?"

"Hopefully not," Squint replies from atop the eidolon.

He redirects his attention to the other party members.

"Ok, we're charging in. Don't worry too much about us - just follow in our wake. If Ulyi falls, I can get them back later, but that's not going to happen. This is going to be great."

Once prepared, Squint and Ulyi walk slowly to the top of the stairs, just out of sight of the Tower Girls.

I'll need Paeral and Celia to step back, if they're ok with it.

I'll let you cast the spells (presumably you were casting while Reillana was talking), but they aren't going to wait for repositioning.

The wererat's expression hardens and a more malicious glint enters her eye. "Embyr, Nayven, show them we mean business"

"If that's how you want it..." Reillana springs into motion, rushing forward to take cover around the corner nearest the Tower Girls. Back flat against the wall, the masked elf begins to sing.

@Paeral, did you move your icon? I don't think so, and moving SW (based on the compass rose) would put you in a wall. I am assuming that you meant down and left (as if north were up), but would prefer to make sure

Paeral's arrow finds space over the table and pierces Nayven's shoulder.

She lets out a string of profanities, some of which are new to the party members, then returns fire, getting Paeral in the leg.

Ulyi bounds up the last step and charges around the corner as Squint lowers the tip of his silver lance, aiming it smartly at the rat-faced Tower Girl as Ulyi reaches its long neck over the barrier and bites at the gang member with the arrow in her shoulder (red - Nayven).

Ulyi has reach with his bite, as does Squint with his lance.

Squint will be making a charge attack on the first round of battle. Hence, he will receive the benefits of Reckless Luck on his AC (+2) that also gets boosted by his Fate's Favored trait (an extra +1 to the AC boost). His temporary AC will be AC 18 (factoring in the -2 for the charge). He also will use his Adaptable Luck (and Fate's Favored) to get a +3 to this attack roll. Lastly, it's a lance, so it's double damage (and silver) if I hit. Squint is attacking Sasha.

Drawing his silver mace as he moves, Barkot rushes up the stairs to where he can see their opponents and takes a position between Paëral and Reillana.

He makes a rude gesture towards the Tower Girls, and in a voice that rasps like a stone coffin lid being shoved open by a tomb robber, he calls out, "Da city's gonna be better off wit'outcha!"

Casting Bane (DC 14 Will save to negate).

The humans wonder if the city would be better off, casting fearful glances toward the wererat, who takes no notice of Barkot or their glances.

Meanwhile, Squint's lance strikes a convincing blow, piercing her shoulder and causing her to call out in pain.

@Squint, I'm using the first die (5) for your damage. However, your bonus calculation is incorrect. The lance is a one-handed weapon while mounted, and you need to deduct 1 for using a silver slashing or piercing weapon. So, your bonus is only +1 (unless I missed something)

Celia rushes in behind Ulyi, skirting around the table to engage the wererat directly. Couldn't get in range in a single move, so this double move seemed best tactically

Embyr throws down her crossbow, pulls a short sword and moves to close off the flank. "Sasha, they outnumber us. Maybe we should fall back?"

Her hands shaking, she misses Celia badly.

Barkot moves up to the overturned table, and whispers to Embyr one of the dark secrets he has learned about Magnimar's supernatural underpinnings. Celia, Squint, and Uyli are unable to make out what he says despite standing right next to the remaining Tower Girl.

She's too far for Barkot to get in melee range in one move with his 20' speed. He gets as close as he can, then casts Sotto Voce, (DC 13 Will save or shaken for 1 round).

Squint and Celia surround Embyr, each getting in a solid hit.

Will,Bane: 1d20 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 - 1 = 16

Embyr is so startled at suddenly being surrounded and flanked that the effects of Barkot's spell simply wash over her.

"Sasha! Don't leave me here all aloooooone!" she pleads in Varisian.

Embyr begins her own withdrawal.
Withraw avoids AoOs in the first square of movement. She will then try to Acrobatics away from Ulyi in the second square, then Ulyi and Squint in the third square

I'm going to respectfully dispute your ruling, GM. It appears that Embyr moved at full speed which would increase the DC of the move by 10. Additionally, there's another rule that states for every additional opponent avoided in 1 round, the DC of the check goes up by 2. The DC of the check for Squint is 14 (CMD) and for Ulyi is 16 (CMD). Her best roll was 20 and the DC would be 26 for Squint or 28 for Ulyi. I will roll two AoOs: one for Squint and one for Ulyi.

I did move her too far on the second part of the move. I had actually just realized that and am moving her back 15ft.

Paëral moves 25' west and fires at blue...

As the Tower Girls attempt to withdraw Reillana follows cautiously, wary of being lured into an ambush. Pausing by the wounded thief the elf hurls taunts at the retreating backs of Sasha and Nayven before examining Embyr's wounds.

"I could save her, if no one else has magic to stop the bleeding," she offers.

Nayven makes a face as if she is going to respond to Reillana's taunts, but is cut off by Sasha.

Sasha grabs something from a pocket, then reaches up toward a torch. Smoke fills the hallway, and you lose sight of the two of them as they duck into the cloud.

Looks like the last time I moved Barkot's token, it didn't stick - he should have been right up against the overturned table at the end of his last turn.

Barkot starts making his way to the corridor, and casts stabilize on Embyr as soon as her prone body comes into sight.

Squint spurs Ulyi past the fallen Tower Girl towards the edge of the smoky cloud. Concentrating briefly, Ulyi reaches into a pocket on his vest and pulls out his fingertips again, shiny with a fatty substance.

Ulyi moves 40 feet. Squint casts grease. DC 14 Reflex save for any within the green square on the map immediately. DC 10 Acrobatics to move at half-speed through the area on their turn.

Realising he's just cast a spell, Squint calls out to Barkot: "What about casting a spell TO keep them from getting away?"

Reflex S: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Reflex N: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

The outline in the smoke slips a bit, but remains standing.

Celia hurries to catch up to the fleeing Tower Girls.

Following hard on Celia's heels, Reillana slides accross the Grease patch but maintains her balance, stepping over to cut off the Tower Girls' retreat

Sasha laughs at Reillana malevolently, before carefully Withdrawing deeper into the smoke. She doesn't even bother to avoid Reillana's attacks.

Nayven does try to avoid Reillana, but leaves a parting warning. "Leave now. We will deal with you if you try to follow."

”Sorry, folks. It looks like it didn’t work to slow them down,” Squint says sadly. He has a sudden thought. ”Maybe we check the fallen one to see if she’s got any keys or such on her? Or do we press them?”

Ulyi delays until after others decide what they’d like to do.

Once again asking for Soralyon's guidance, Barkot takes a few moments to search Embyr. Whatever else he finds, he makes sure to take her weapons.

Paëral - are you in the right place on the map? I thought you had moved up.

BTW: I mentioned it in the flavor, but didn't make it explicit. If Reillana has a weapon out, she can take an AoO against Sasha.

@Barkot, I will allow you to knock the crossbow away from her and take her short sword while we are in initiative. More will have to wait for next round.

A small cook fire has been built in the center of the floor with spits holding the sizzling carcasses of two donkey rats. The broken scraps of a crate now serving as fuel are stacked nearby, and blankets have been pushed together into a large bedroll.

That would have been the masterwork short sword, but I don't think I ever said I had it in hand explicitly

You obviously drew a weapon at that point, and it would make the most sense to draw the shortsword.

Reillana's weapon pierces Sasha's side, but comes out without any trace of blood and Sasha does not appear to have even noticed.
