Ishingka Thulkarian |
GM, will you allow it if I swing my whip around, not to hit for damage, but just to see if it contacts with anything in a 30' radius for a good 45 degrees of arc? 10' off the ground.
Wembly Templeton |
The eagle will fly around the last known location of the invisible fey.
Wembly, meanwhile, casts detect magic and starts concentrating on the area, trying to pinpoint the invisible creature.

Almost all of your actions to find the fey are useless, however Rowanna comes up with a foolproof way.
@Rowanna: Your Glitterdust is too small. It takes up a 20' diameter circle, which matters because now it is big enough to catch him.
Rowanna's Glitterdust finds the invisible fey, crouching down on the top of the stone henge, hiding from other ranged attacks.
The fey seems to stay quivering there, unaware that he is coated in glitter.
Initiative (Round 7!) [Round 10 = Very Bad]:
1st: Cyflymder @ 4
2nd: Rhuul; Ishingka; Rowanna; Shamak; Orik; Wembly; Whiskers;
Ishingka Thulkarian |
Ishingka climbs off the pillar and slaps her whip at the fey.
Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
She remains unentangled, despite her bulk.
Whip: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
for nonlethal: 1d4 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Rowanna Nachtalus |
Thanks GM, I was harboring the incorrect assumption that Glitterdust was a 10 square.
Escape: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Ref Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
"You're welcome. Now, finish him already!" Rowanna calls out, no longer bothering the mask the irritation in her voice. She then forces her way out of the tangle and moves closer to the blinded quickling.
Rhuul Irontoe |
Rhuul starts to crack jokes of his own.
"What do you call a fairy that hasn't taken a bath?"
He shelves his bow and waves the flag around.
"Stinkerbell"
Okay, Rhuul is now inspiring and flag waving, +2 to hit and damage for everyone.
Shamak |
Shamak goes over to the fey as fast as possible, waving his falchion.
Ref save DC 13: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
When he gets there, the half-orc successfully escapes the roots and gets ready to strike the fey.
Shamak was missing 5 feet to hit Cyf -_-

Wembly will continue to concentrate on the fey to see his magic auras., although being coated in glitter sure helps.
"I think I see him! Wow this detect magic is working better than I remember!"
The eagle will charge over to the glittering fey.
Celestial Eagle bite, charge, bard: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 2 + 2 = 14
for smite: 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 2 = 6
GM Bold Strider |
Ishingka's whip misses as the angle from her whip plus his prone form makes it really really hard to hit him.
Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 45
However, Wembly's eagle knocks out the cantankerous fey as the Lorestone tumbles from his grasp and falls to the ground in the entangling roots.
After the Pathfinders quickly hide the Lorestone from the light, they are able to return it to Absalom’s Grand Lodge where it is added to the collection—although unlocking its mysteries will consume many years (at best).
Defeating Cyflymder’s gang removes a minor menace from the Verduran Forest, allowing local, peaceful druidic activity to resume. But, as explorers push ever deeper into the dark groves, friction is bound to flare up again.
End!
Hope everyone had fun! Everyone who is diseased, please post how you are resolving (1PP or 150GP).
Wembly Templeton |
Wembly will seek out a healer within the lodge (1pp)
"well that certainly was crazy...hey whiskers! Come back silly cat. THe dark is all gone. . "
thanks for running it bold strider. Was interesting twist and final combat. I am guessing we don't want to know what happened if we failed.
Shamak |
Shamak will follow Wembly and use a bit of his fame 1 pp to remove the disease.
Thanks a lot, BS. It was an interesting scenario!
Rhuul Irontoe |
What is the nature of the disease? Rhuul is likely to try and tough it out, but if things get too dicy, go and get a healer with coin.
