Lydia: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Shalendra: 1d3 ⇒ 3
The hands claw at Shalendra's flesh as she tears herself free while the rest of the Pathfinders display preternatural agility. In the flooded chamber, the water is tossed about and the heavy barrels of wine roll about the waves dangerously.
Dive under the barrels with a Constitution Check DC 12--Abyssia can bypass this challenge easily--or avoid the barrels on the surface of the water with a Swim Check DC 12.
Abyssia (-3 hp, -2 STR)
Shalendra (-9 hp) (mage armor)
Faust
Maria
Takumi (-3 hp)
Lydia (-3 hp)
Fomalhaut

Maria dives into the water and attempts to gracefully cut through the water.
Swim DC 12: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Her attempt is certainly not as bad as the earlier vault onto the stairs effort, but isn't exactly graceful either.

Lydia (who has re-converted Fomalhaut into a comparatively prosaic shadow) takes Abyssia's hand as she plows through the water...

Takumi sees the barrels ... barreling towards him. He attempts to dive under them, but in his haste, he ends up breathing out before going under and he starts to panic underwater when he realises his lungs are empty.

Faust: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Maria: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Shalendra: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Takumi: 1d3 ⇒ 2
With Abyssia's help, Lydia is able to swim past the writhing water and crashing barrels. Her other companions, however, do not fare so well.
Faust, Shalendra and Takumi dive into the murky water but rise too soon, colliding with barrels. Maria tries to avoid them while swimming on the surface, but she is crushed between two barrels.
On the other side, you find the wooden stairs that you took down have cracked and crumbled in the tremors.
Climb DC 12 to climb the wall or Perception DC 14 to notice the safe boards to hop along to reach the kitchen.
Once in the kitchen, you find the entire room swarming with frenzied rats.

Maria will take a -2 on the first check and a -2 on the second check, both to aid Shalendra who appears to be taking the brunt of the trouble.

Faust begins climbing, but his grip slips during a brief tremor and he crashes to the ground. Fed up with this twisted funhouse, he sprints through the swarming rats. "Meet at the forest line beyond these walls!" he shouts as he clears what he hopes is the last obstacle.

Maria shinnies right up the wall, easily finding solid handholds. From above, she points out to the elf witch the handholds and a clear route up the planks.

Seriously? :D
In the kitchen Maria thinks that rats are scared of cats, so she makes cat noises to herd them away as she slips through. Sadly though, she forgot that cats aren't the small pets that go BARK and the rats are not impressed, swarming her with bites. As she jumps out the back of the kitchen and heads for the forest line she shouts back to the witch, "HISS AT THEM! IT MIGHT WORK! BARKING SURE DIDN'T! OR JUST BE TOUGHER THAN ME!!!"

Takumi finally bursts out from the water, his lungs burning badly from the large amount of water he breathed in before extricating himself fro the barrels. Although his vision is blurring somewhat, he easily spots the boards that are still strong enough and climbs out of out of the cellar into the kitchen. Only to face a horde of ravaging rats! Thankfully, his teacher had drilled into him well the dangers of the natural world, and with some chittering and wave of his arms, manage to herd a path through the rats to get through.

Lydia tries to skitter up the walls...but having gotten used to having to compensate for her tenuous, tenebrous link with Fomalhaut in here, needlessly and gracelessly compromises herself.

You all manage to scramble your way out of the manor bruised, scraped, and bitten but alive. As you gather around the outer wall, you watch as the entire building collapses in on itself and sinks a bit into the ground. The silence that follows the roar of the collapsing building is deafening in its own way, but eventually the natural sounds of birds calling in the trees returns.

Takumi looks over the ruins, unmoving for sometime. He then starts dusting his robes. "Well, I trust that would have put an end to everything."

Back in Saringallow, Mayor Trinelli congratulates you for your bravery and resourcefulness. She pays you for the retrieved records and tells you to relay to your venture-captain that she will approve the application to establish a Pathfinder lodge in Saringallow.
When the mayor issues a report about your findings, people start lining up in front the town hall, curious to know what happened to their kin so long ago.

Maria replies to Takumi, ”yes well, razing things to the ground does tend to have a finality to it. I’m just glad we made it out with some of the information we sought.”
Back in town she happily helps share their findings, filling in many details she thinks are pertinent but likely are not.

Abyssia quickly slips off back to Absalom, not interested in getting bogged down by the crowd.

"It's really too bad that the entire thing had to fall in on itself. I guess it's for the best." Shalendra is ready to leave town for her next adventure.

"...Indeed it is..." Faust grumbles. So much for repurposing the building. Now I will have to pay for an entirely new one!
