The pathfinders follow through on attempting to take out the wax creature. They surround him with an array of attacks, slices, bashes, bites included! The monster is hurt, but not fallen.

The wax golem pulls back noticing he is surrounded, and attempts to take out the tengu this time. But his swings are way off, and Kahwen easily dodges it.

Angela steps up behind the eagle and tries to point out a good location for the next person to attack. "Nicely done, Hadza! That looked like it hurt! Now I think the knee joints on this thing are pretty easy to attack and might be great at causing it to fall. She takes her longspear and tries to edge in between the eagle and Ibona, showing how easily she can get her spear next to the wax golem's legs.

The eagle sees most of the space available to fight the enemy is taken, so it flies around the outside of the room, hoping to catch the golem from the back.

The eagle is so close to being able to fly around the outside of the room and still attack. 10 ft away. Double move to fly around the out side of the room.

Slippery little devil! Nigel advances forward again. He once again makes the movements of conjuration magic, but this time forms a ball of acid in his hand and throws it at the golem.

Nigel was too focused on dodging the obstacles and lost focus on the acid and ended up dropping the ball of acid before it was thrown.

If I understand the eagles movement, the eagle would have had to made some sharp turns (more than >45degrees). Per the fly skill, this is done by spending a 5ft movement and DC15 fly check! Failure by 5 or more results in plummeting to the ground. If you fail the check you would need to continue flying in a non-complex manoeuvre.

I took the liberty to place the eagle where it needed to be without requiring turns sharper than 45 degrees.

Hadza moves around his companions as the wax golem positions itself into more secured territory. He makes a more measured swing with long hammer over the tengu's head.

I can spend the extra movement do it without a check (you can sacrifice 5 ft of movement to make a 45degree turn. I am not sure how strict you are with the rules on 10 take. If you rule that since he is not threatened, he is allowed to take 10, that is what he will do. If he can not take 10 because you rule combat is a distraction (understandable ruling, some GMs do others do not) and I miss interpreted the rule that I am able to spend 5 ft of extra movement to make the turn without a check, I will provide the check, but I am pretty sure my 160 ft of movement would let me do it without a check.

Kahwen would feel sorry for their opponent, surrounded and being pounded by a group of dedicated Pathfinders, were he not fairly sure that the thing was not really alive and wasn't really feeling any pain.

"Haha - RAWK!" his triumphant cry when the thing misses him terribly turns into one of surprised dismay as he feels a rush of air as Hadza's hammer misses its target just as terribly and misses him by a much smaller margin.

Angela's advice gets lost in the chaos of combat but he is still in a good position with the eagle distracting their opponent. He waits for the perfect moment before striking, ironically finding the knees the softest target anyway.

Dark, Angela, Hadza, Nigel seem to have difficulty in finding the creatures anatomy. Ibona and Kahwen, with their blades slice through together and pull out a hefty chunk of wax! Meanwhile the eagle flies around to get to the other side.

I have 5 ft moved Ibona as she was not adjacent to creature earlier.

Also, I treat as being in combat initiative as under threat, so no take 10s while in initiative for me. But you're probably right with that move speed you can a very wide move to get across even if you fail that check. Just wanted to make sure we follow by the rules :)

Once more the golem tries to take a slug a Kahwen, but once more he also misses. He continues then to play the dancing game and moving away from the Pathfinders. 5 foot step!

Angela moves around to the side, noting how nicely Kahwen targets the knees. "Nicely done Kahwen! See that is how you take out the things vulnerable points! She waits for the next person to take a melee attack, readying her spear to knock the sword around.

The muscled kellid circles around the golem's reach as he follows it into the center of the display. Taking advantage of Angela's distraction, he tightens his grip on the hammer and swings hard.

So this new Pazio site has been really frustrating. Apparently the site is not compatible with my forum recovery app for google chrome anymore and the site seems to crash more often... Do those grey squares on the map stop the eagle from attacking from where he is? I will hold off on rolling for him till I find out.

Combat Over!

Angela calls it right, and Hadza swings right into the abdomen, smashing the wax golem into pieces. Splatter flies all over, creating a huge mess. But it's more than certain, the wax sculpture it once was will no longer be a threat to you.

Immediately walking up to the study, you find that the magical defenses Nigel Aldain referenced earlier, hinders you from making an advance into the study. The magic is incomprehensible to you and it is likely far beyond your means to dissolve the magical barriers. Perhaps it be best to secure the museum for the time being, priceless relics are being destroyed as you stand idly by!

Pathfinders you may go 1) straight ahead toward animated relics; 2) to the right toward guard animals; 3) to the left and upstairs toward clockworks; or 4) around back to the gardens for swarm wards.

Also our table has the Aid Token. You may keep the token and use it in future to give yourself some benefits, once you used it, it will travel to another table. OR you can instead "boost" it and give another table where they will receive additional benefits.

Benefits:

Allied Offensive: A Pathfinder agent strikes a creature at the same time as the PC, increasing the damage dealt by one attack by 1d8 points. In addition, after the attack, anyone attacking the target is considered to be flanking it until the beginning of the attacker’s next turn. To Boost: Succeed at an attack roll against an AC equal to an Average skill check (15) . Boosted Effect: +1d8 points of damage.

Burst of Healing: A Pathfinder agent heals all of the PCs of 1d6 points of damage. To Boost: Expend one use of channel positive energy or cast one spell with the healing descriptor with a spell level greater than or equal to your APL/2, rounded down. A PC must cast this spell, not simply activate a wand or scroll. Boosted Effect: +2d6 points of damage healed.

Timely Inspiration: A Pathfinder agent provides the effects of a bard’s inspire courage bardic performance for 3 rounds. In Subtiers 1–2 and 3–4, the competence bonus is +1. To Boost: Expend 3 rounds of bardic performance or similar ability. Boosted Effect: Increase the competence bonus by 1.

Provide Knowledge (Must Be boosted): Gain the benefits of a Knowledge skill check or Spellcraft skill check used to identify a magical item; the type and difficulty (Easy, Average or Hard) depend on the table granting the benefit. To Boost: Succeed at a Knowledge check of your choice, the result of the check (Easy, Average or Hard) should be noted on the Aid Token.

Provide Spellcasting (Must Be Boosted): Gain the benefits of a beneficial spell cast by an ally as listed on the Aid Token. To Boost: Cast one of the following spells and note your PC’s name and caster level on the Aid Token: lesser restoration, neutralize poison, remove curse, or remove disease. Only these spells may be granted. Expending resources that produce the effects of these spells, such as a paladin’s mercy class feature, may also grant these benefits.

Angela gives a sigh as she and Ibona finish looking over the portal. "Looks like we can't handle this thing with out taking some other defenses out first. Maybe those wards swarming in the garden have some connection to these doors?"

"Huzzah!" Kahwen declares as the living wax statue is shattered. He doesn't even particularly mind that he has to wipe some of the thing off of his beak.

He is patently disappointed as it is discovered that getting into the door is beyond even the skilled abilities of the agents with exceptionl arcane knowledge.

Kahwen has little desire to fight the dogs, which are just animals doing their job and the relics ahead seem all too familiar and thus boring.

"To the garden companions!" he exclaims.

After a cross examination and assessment of the situation, the group decides the best course of action would be to assist within the museum heading straight to the main exhibition halls.

Under a sign that reads “The Shining Armory,” priceless Shining Crusade artifacts displayed on pedestals creak and move by some unseen force. Eerie light seems to dart between the objects while the din of a raging battle echoes throughout the chamber. The central feature is a low, artificial hill atop which stand two stuffed owlbears surrounded by shattered undead foes. Each of the beasts wears chainmail barding and an orange-and-black caparison depicting a stylized owlbear. A dead man dressed in furs lies on the floor before a suit of fullplate armor.

One of the banners fly around uncontrollably as you walk in.

He stares in frank amazement with a bemused grin for a moment, then rushes into danger. He takes a circuitous path, giving the banner wide berth as he moves to get behind it. It's a path that's circuitous enough that he can't get close enough to actually strike.

Between the time to check the study and come back down, 2 minutes would definitely be up! Thus the eagle is gone.

The group takes a very tactical approach and moves around the banner creating the space to move in and attack with great effectiveness. Hadza attempts first blood with a strong swing, but an inaccurate one that hits nothing but the air. It's almost as if the banner was playing a game of bull with the human Barbarian. Dark, realising what the creature might be made of fires a blast of positive energy. It would seem to be effective, and causes the banner to weaken.

Angela squints at the banner, having a sneaking suspicion she'd she some just like it before. After a second, she realizes what it is, but by that time however, Ibona had already revealed that and everyone else had starting moving. She rushes to catch up, dropping her pack and grabbing her longspear, she rounds around the corner to see if she can try help someone.

On the other side of the table she takes a good look at the creatures movements. "Uhh, it's a banner? I'm guessing it will cut just as easily as any other banner. However I might be able to stretch it out so you can have an easier time of getting it to tear." With her longspear she tries to hook part of the banner.

Ibona takes a single step forward and cuts a piece off. Dark doesn't have his aim on target and shoots wide of the banner.

Hadza, since the banner has reach, your move would have provoked an AoO. Unfortunately that would have hit thus limiting your action. You still have a standard action but you would not be able to attack since grapple allows only one free hand actions.

The floating flag plays a little game with Hadza, and someone traps the bull of a man in it's tail.

Angela gives a distraught look at the banner as it slowly chokes Hadza. "Damn, that does not look good. Let's try taking this banner out before it takes our companion out!"

She takes her long spear and starts to point out a few places where a little more force might cause the thing to start tearing more. "She the fraying here, it'll spread easily. The small cut here and there might also work...."
