Whoops! I forgot about you when typing the Init order, sorry about that, but being last I guess does have an advantage or two!

Botting Amarthecthel & Ringmaster
@Sue: You just made the CMD roll on the dot to get to Murgmo :P
Amarthecthel immediately runs up to G3, aiming to piece him with his rapier and draw attention away from Guido.
Amarthecthel rapier @ G3: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 2 = 19
Damage on hit: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
With a "Hurk!", the flanking goblin drop to the ground with a new piercing in his body.
The Ringmaster casts Guidance on Llathander.
Horgrym moves up and takes a mighty swing to attack one of the goblins, but falls just short of connecting with the felling blow.
GM BPChocobo TK1 |

Guido smashes a goblin into a column, rendering it unconscious.
Another goblin stabs Guido from behind.
Sue moves to engage the caster goblin while Amarthecthel stabs the one who just jabbed Guido.
Ringmaster provies a minor buff to Llathander
Horgrym moves into combat, but misses.
Round 2 a go!
Init Order:
G1
G5
Murgmo
G2
G4
Llthanader
Guido
Sue
Amarthecthel
Ringmaster
Horgrym
G1 drops his bow and tries to stab at Horgrym with his dogslicer. "Die babyshank!"
G1 Dogslicer @ Horgrym: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Damage on hit: 1d4 ⇒ 4
The halfling's armor easily deflects the thrust.
G5 Wisdom check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
Seeing Guido just shove a foot the size of his head into his ally and knocking him out, the cowardly goblin drops his weapon and runs screaming! Withdraw action, so no AoO for you Guido!
Murgmo, scowls as Sue nimbly sidesteps the sweeping arc of her longspear. With fire in her eyes, Murgmo tries to channel it into her hand.
Murgmo Concentration check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Finally, a wave of fire shoots out, aimed at Sue! Murgmo then steps back, grasping her spear once more
Sue Reflex save DC 12: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage of spell: 3d4 ⇒ (3, 1, 4) = 8
Sue, already seeing this trick, protects her vitals from the flame, only taking partial damage.
Sue, you took 4 fire damage!
G4 and G2 step from behind their cover columns, firing arrows Guido and Amarthecthel respectively. "Vengeance against youz guyz!"
G4 arrow @ Amarthecthel: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Damage on hit: 1d4 ⇒ 3
G2 arrow @ Guido: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Damage on hit: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Both arrows are easily dodged by the men.
Now everyone else's actions! Go slay things!
Sue Basilbottom |
Sue shakes the ashes of her burnt sleeves off her arms revealing unburnt flesh beneath. (Evasion)
Sue will try and headbutt Murgmo while keeping her hands between them.
Fighting defensively, stunning fist.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 4 - 1 + 1 = 14 damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Stunning Fist = Fort Save, DC 13 or be stunned for 1 round.
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Sue: Thanks for reminding me! You were extra prepared to avoid this :)
Despite the width of goblin heads, Sue narrowly misses Murgmo's noggin! "Babyshank can't stop us from getting the Sword of Zog!"
Guido Sansone |
Guido moves in against the spell casting goblin and reaches for a grip on her.
Rage: round 2 of 6
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Grapple: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Amarthecthel |
Amarthecthel grins, an expression entirely without either humor or pity.
5' E. Spellstrike and spellcombat, using a rime-templated frostbite spell. 1st attack = rapier + frostbite v. #3. 2nd attack, rapier v. #2
1st attack: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 - 2 = 16
2nd attack: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 4 - 2 = 11
I'm assuming the 16 hits and the 11 doesn't.
Damage vs. #3: 1d6 + 2 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 + (3) + 2 = 9
The goblin takes 4 points of lethal and 5 points of non-lethal damage. If still conscious, it is both fatigued (until healed) and entangled (1 round).
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Guido: Your Acrobatics is not high enough to get to Murgmo safely and you will provoke.
Murgmo AoO @ Guido: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Damage on hit: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
Murgmo tries to stab the incoming Varisian, but Sue keeps the pressure on her and the caster's attack is thrown off.
This is then made worse by the bear hug given by the angry Varisian!
Murgmo is grappled!
@Amarthecthel: [ooc]Your target would to be #2, 3 is already down!
The goblin is run through with the chilled blade and falls to the ground, shivering before slipping into unconsciousness.
Llathander, Horgrym, and Ringmaster, finish the round! :)
Amarthecthel |
@Amarthecthel: Your target would to be #2, 3 is already down!
Okely-dokely!
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Llathander: "Only an 'uh-oh' escapes the goblin's lips as you nearly cleave it in half with your mighty blow. It drops to the ground, bleeding profusely.
G4 will: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8
The other remaining unpanicked goblin then changes colors and direction, dropping its weapon and screaming. "Aaaaahhh! It's da Ringmaster!
Typically this would caused only a shakened condition, but considering by at this point, 3 more of his allies were taken out in 1 round and Murgmo is getting 'close' with Guido... cowardice sets in!
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Horgrym: I'll leave it to you to try and pick off the cowards, but otherwise there is a grappled Murgmo available to deal with. I'll give you to around noon MST to make your action before continuing.
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
Sorry for the delay, botting Horgrym!
Horgrym, not wanting the vile goblins to bring even more reinforcements, slings the one who just ran.
Horgrym sling @ G4: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Damage on hit: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
However, the sling bullet bounces off of the exit as the goblins flee.
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
Round 2 recap:
One goblin tries to stab Horgrym, but misses.
One panics from the mighty Guido.
Murgmo tries to set Sue on fire, but fails, miserably.
Llathander cleaves a goblin in two, while Sue fails to stun Murgmo.
Guido runs up and grapples Murgmo.
Amarthecthel finishes off another.
Ringmaster taunts one into a panick and runs.
Horgrym slings a bullet at the runner, but misses.
Only Murgmo remains in combat.
Round 3: The end of goblinz?
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
Murgmo, despite being grappled, cackles as she gets a bug-eyed looks in her face, then burps a blast of fire at Guido!
Alas, she can't get both Sue and Guido :P
Guido Reflex save vs DC 12: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Fire burp damage: 3d4 ⇒ (2, 1, 3) = 6
Not expecting the uncouth blast, Guido takes it in the face... and still stands.
Guido takes 6 fire damage and is pretty injured, not quite rage deathing himself, but closer than he'd prefer :P
Everyone else, end this!
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Llathander: Your blow fails to penetrate Murgmo's chain shirt!
@Amarthecthel: As you chase after the runaways, you note that the tunnel appears mostly natural, other than the flagstone flooring that appears at the end of the hallway the goblins run. It looks like it goes on for a bit before turning a corner to the east.
Anyone else? I'll bot you if I have to, giving until 4:30 MST
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
Murgmo Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
"Wha? What performance weaselshank?", Murgmo quips, a little lightheaded.
Sue Basilbottom |
Sue will move around to the backside of Murgmo and give a swift kick.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 - 1 + 2 = 6
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Sue: Unfortunately, Guido, still grappling the gobliness, yanks her away from your kick.
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
Sorry on the delay guys, was waiting for Guido to do something. Pushing forward.
Guido will continue to maintain the grapple, then squeeze for non-lethal damage.
Guido Grapple @ Murgmo: 1d20 + 10 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 10 + 5 = 26
Non-lethal damage on success: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Murgmo yelps out as the raging monk puts the squeeze on her.
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
Round 3 Recap:
Murgmo burps fire onto Guido, who takes it full on (6 damage).
Llathander and Sue both miss Murgmo
Guido maintains grapple and injures Murgmo (10 nonlethal).
Amarthecthel and Horgrum chase after cowardly goblins.
Ringmaster successfully dazes Murgmo.
Round 4!
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
Murgmo tries to cast another fiery spell within her muscular confines.
Murgmo Concentration: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
However, another flex from Guido breaks the spell!
G4 and G5 continue their run away from the party!
Their positions are now marked on the Accursed Halls 1 Map!
Everyone else, you have a have life-squeezed goblin remaining, and 2 of your party members are giving chase. What do you do?
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
The eagle can get past the goblins this round via double move action, but won't be able to do anything else until next round.
Sue Basilbottom |
Sue will help Guido finish off Murgmo before too much fire gets belched out.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Guido Sansone |
Damn Sue, Your dice are as cold as mine are hot this game.
Sorry for the pause, I didn't realize it was waiting on me.
Guido will squeeze yet again.
Grapple: 1d20 + 8 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 8 + 5 = 33
Non-Lethal: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
I think you added in some extra strength from rage before, but I'm Urban Barb so it doesn't quite work like that. I chose +4 Con for this rage.
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Guido: You can do either or for the rage; thought you used regular rage instead of the Controlled Rage :P My bad.
With one last squeeze, Murgmo falls limp in the barbarian's arms!
@Amarthecthel, the goblins keep on running, until the hallway goes to a dark stone room filled with purple mists. Immediately, the goblins stop, look at each other, and hold each other crying outloud as Amarthecthel and Horgrym approach.
"Noooo! Don't hurt us! Whaaaaaaa!"
Amarthecthel |
Amarthecthel levels his rapier. "The world will be improved, if only a little, by having two fewer goblins in it. Why would I possibly let you go?"
GM BPChocobo TK1 |
@Amarthecthel: Typically, I'd make you roll an Intimidate check... but it's going to auto-succeed at this point!
The goblins, still clutching each other for a modicum of safety, look at each other and shrug. "We sing good songs?"
The other nods approvingly, also adding. "Plus, we know something scary in this room! As scary as that big-meaty shank!"
Everyone else: So you're now in a room with an unconscious goblin, 2 dead ones, and a couple more bleeding out. Plus a number of foodstuffs, boxes, and a chest that make their 'camp'.
Sue Basilbottom |
Sue points and Guido and motions to the room: "Take a quick sweep for valuables, I'll keep my head up in case there are more goblins lurking, you never know when there's just one more."
Sue Basilbottom |
Sue is keeping watch to make sure more goblins don't attack us while we loot. You never know with those stinky buggers. Take 10 perception = 19
Amarthecthel |
Amarthecthel smiles at the goblins, and not a nice smile. His rapier point never wavers. "Convince me," he says. "What is scary within the room? Careful now! Voices only. One move and I skewer you like rats."
Guido Sansone |
Guido, while drained from his rage, takes a look around the room before nearly collapsing into a wall.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
"I'm bleeding. Who knew?."
