To celebrate a New Year of gaming and to show I've not been slacking (that much) I've introduced two new lists into the Campaign Info for your collective delectation's:

DΔTΔ_DRΘP_002 ᐒ DRΔMΔTIS PERSΘΔE: Basic overview of persons and vessels researched or encountered thusfar. Some content is finite and others somewhat hearsay.

DΔTΔ_DRΘP_003 ᐒ KNΘWLEDGE CΔCHE: Summary of the information gleaned thusfar that relates to locations and organisations. Can also expand to theories etc as you guys join the dots.

Will update both as the game develops and give you a heads up in this thread of content change etc.

Have also added an XP TRΔCKER - shows collective awards rather than individual XP amounts. With 7 of you the advancement might be slower but I'll pep up encounters to hopefully offset.

Hey BD - as you will have noticed... I've been criminally absent for a long period of time. Moving and lack of laptop access and holidays and new job and whatnot. It ain't fair on the rest of you lads to be a rattus in absentia, so probably best for this campaign that I fade into the mangy and protein bar shaped background.

Has been appreciated and enjoyable, still think Starfinder looks da shnizzle... and disappointed that I won't be able to shank more peeps with cheek shivs... but best for all that I don't weigh down the starship.

BTW - With Mark sadly dropping out, we are down a mechanic - I'm not planning on filling the slot (6PCs is plenty enough) but I know mechs are a popular choice - if any of you wish to change to playing one now's the time...

On a separate note can everyone just scour their profiles and check all crunch is present and fluff is recorded.

Regards loot - I'll rustle up a basic record sheet. Original group have some kit they picked up from the Dock94 shoot-out and the Duravor 3 have some legacy items left to them.

Starfinder Society will give you a decent trade on items - if sold on the black market/traded then you'll get 10% of the value (as per Core) - bartering etc might improve or drop the % depending on rolls. Edit: I actually think this is pretty low (the player in me at least) so might haus-rule closer to 20 or 25%)

Starfinder's will allow you to "swap items" in and out of their inventory up to the value (as they need kit) but those items are effectively on "loan" - selling or trading them means that avenue will be closed (at the very least).

I think we're good for Engineering and Computers elsewhere in the party; I'll stick with the muscle role for now. BTW, once the loot's been divvied up I may have a purchase to make--one each BFG.


Yeah JW came to the same conclusion - regards loot I've added a Earned Seizure tab on the Campaign Page.

Value of kit is listed as SF trade in [20% of value] - street value is likely to be 10-15% [+/- your bartering skills]

I've allocated the various items to those who are in possession of them at the moment - how you decide to divvy up the equipment/loot etc is a group decision.

I'll expect fairness but not enforce it [as there will be plenty of opportunity to even the swag should you run with a "finders keepers" approach to salvage/loot]

Have a chat about it here or in-game and I'll adjust the records accordingly. If someone wants to be appointed quartermaster then even better I'll defer to you :)

While the Starfinder rule set seems to be a simpler subset of Pathfinder I do not see the this holds true for equipment. I am finding it difficult to navigate the book and come away with an understanding of what my character should spend money on.

Seconding that comment Noah, tried looking through to see about trading out items and where that would get me, if anyone knows of a good spreadsheet with the items broken down by type/price/special/ect please post it or that may become a project of mine. Sure there is a better copy already in play....

GM-BD thanks for the 'Earned Siezure' page, and all of your work in general.

I remember Kris throwing the cred stick in the pot as she kept the laser pistol, IC they would have likely worked out the splits on the sticks before the others showed up, OC I'm fine with how that works out either way.

Shrug. Though I understand the reason for the level requirements for gear, there really doesn't seem to be much to buy at first level. Ed is fine with what he has currently.

As noted, Retsiji would like to buy a light reaction cannon, because heavy weapons are boss (and the reaction cannon is less than the comparable laser rifle).

A light reaction cannon is 250 cr, and 20 rounds will cost another 90 cr. (I notice that although the cannon is L1 gear, the rounds are L2. What's up with that?)

If you front the money from the Ed/Kris/Retsiji pot, Retsiji will pay it back to the other two once we're more in funds. Kris can keep the extra laser pistol.


Yeah the whole levelled gear is a little strange. Its a nice thought, but a poor mechanic.

The idea that you can access +2 level max gear in a major settlement, then suddenly find that after you gain a level the shelves are full of new swanky items is a stretch.

@Ret: I'm presuming they are trying to make it less Ol' Painless and more "selective" in its use? Regardless it doesn't make much sense to me.

... I can feel another haus-rule gestating lol.

@All: Delving into the rules more on equipment it seems that there is a bunch of kit that is needed to complete tasks and use skills (and vice versa) - Engineering and use of Detonators (ergo Grenades outwith the "chuck it" variety), Toolkits for instance. Agree that a list would be sweet (and clearer).

I'll fix the swag and give everyone a breakdown. Anyone claiming any of Duravor's gear? Or is that open to trade w/ the Starfinders??

STORY NOTE: His battered suit of Armour has an faded HC Logo chest patch on it.


300CR in currency (not including the gems or hard credit "bits") constitutes a 50CR individual split thus far...

Trading items will obviously increase this (that includes gear that you already own)

That's exactly what I was looking for, Thanks GM, I had found like a shopping list but it wasn't what I was interested in, granted it was helpful if your were setting up the initial character buy. And of course I can't find IT now.

Paeon only would need armor upgrades, but i don't think there is anything that he can upgrade to really... not powerful enough to wear better armor i guess ;)


Anyone claiming any of the gear (outwith the 2 laser pistols?) - do you plan to divvy it up/trade/sell or make a shrine for the dear departed Duravor ;)

@Paeon: Believe you can swap out upgrades from one set of armour to another... 10 minutes work according to the core rulebook. I'd add a DC10 Engineering check to ensure all connections are made and functioning correctly. Duravor's armour has a Radiation Buffer upgrade installed.

Conversely a DC12 Engineering check will allow your dead patron's suit to be worn by anyone in the crew...

Noah was not there to collect that found gear so he would not claim anything. He is happy to help with the engineering through.


Folks only the las-pistols and club were from the original scrap.

The 300CR gained from that had been divvied up between all of you, but if it is only going to the original crew then Kris, Ed and Ret each get 100CR.

The other gear is from Duravor's locker in the safe haus and would likely be first dibs by Noah, Koro and Paeon (either to claim or trade).

However if its not claimed I'll just presume its requestered by the Starfinders as I'm not a fan of kit floating about unclaimed...

The gear clamp and cable seem worth keeping. I'll hold it if no one else wants it. I'll loan my loot (150) to Ret's weapon if he has enough to upgrade.


Ok - so working off the presumption that original 3 each have 100CR in wealth from the gangers cred-stiks.

Kris and Ret also got a las-pistol (Kris keeping hers and Ret trading in his for an extra +70CR).

Paeon is upgrading his own armour with Duravor's Radiation Buffer upgrade.

Gear Clamp and Cable are being carried by Ed for the greater good :)

Leaves the Estex Suit 1 to be traded for 82CR, Industrial Backpack for 5CR. This would be split between Koro, Paeon and Noah. (+29CR each)

The gemstones and hard credits can be exchanged for credit cost from the Society or you can keep for wealth in a different form?

Know loot might seem skewed at the moment, but once you start amassing more it'll even out.

Nice. That provides enough credit to get the tactical crossbow. I recommend the three side trackers go ahead and sell and divide up the other credit worthy items (gems/cred bits).

No spell prep needed for me. All Starfinder casters seem to be like sorcerers and do not pick spells, except picking the ones they know. Noah 2.0 is armed with two good for level weapons and is ready to roll. I say we show up early. Maybe way early, like now.

For clarification, I don't think telepathy allows mind reading. Telepaths can project their thoughts but not receive thoughts from nontelepaths as I understand it. I was just messing with Noah earlier because his format was funny.

Haven't read up on the class so take Kris'comments for my own. Haven't read up on the any of the classes in depth yet, actually. Scanned through them at the beginning and picked something I thought I'd like to try to begin with. A simple case of information overload when I first started looking at Starfinder.
