Gang - wee heads up - work hammer is swinging hard this week. Bunch of offshore ops have converged for kickoff o'er the next 7-10 days which means I'm having to do a bunch of pre-job work and scheduling in the run up.
Between prepping rental kit packages, client meetings and getting my offshore teams readied, my heads frankly mince.
Bear with - posting opportunities might be fleeting, and content basic until later in the week.

FYI - I'll be traveling in Scotland from July 4 though the 17th. I will have internet much of the time but not every day. So please bot me if I am holding up anything.

We are traveling with Gate 1. It seems a pretty good deal. Package includes air, transfers, good hotels, half our meals, motor coach, driver, full time guide, and admittance to anywhere we are going and it cost about what I could book the hotels for.
We will not be getting too close to you. I fear Aviemore is as close as we will be.
Likely more than you want to know, but here is our full itinerary:
Saturday - Arrive in Edinburgh
The rest of the day is at leisure to get acquainted with this lovely city on your own. T
Sunday - Edinburgh City Tour. This included is a visit to Edinburgh Castle where you can see the Crown Room, St. Margaret's Chapel, and much more! The balance of the day is at leisure. Tonight, perhaps attend the optional Scottish Dinner with traditional entertainment
Monday - St Andrews, Blair Castle & Gardens, Aviemore
Tuesday - Culloden Battlefield, Loch Ness, Sheepdog Demonstration
Wednesday - Dunrobin Castle, Whisky Distillery & Tasting, Wick
Thursday - Orkney Islands
Friday - Village of Ullapool, Fish and Chips Lunch, Isle of Skye
Saturday - Skye Museum of Island Life, Flora MacDonald's Monument, Dunvegan Castle
Sunday - Scenic Glencoe, Loch Lomond, Glasgow
Monday - Tour Glasgow, Stirling Castle, Farewell Dinner

Epic tour chief - plenty of highlights to be had there. No worries - your itinerary is a tight one, so we can catch up on the return trip :)
If you had longer in Edinburgh I'd recommend the National Museum of Scotland and National War Museum (which is in the Castle) - both are superb but will take a more than a few hours to fully enjoy.
Loads of great places to wine and dine in Edinburgh (Auld Reekie) and Glasgow (Glesga) so you'll be spoilt for choice.
Isles are awesome too (weather dependent lol). Culloden is super-eerie...
Dunvegan is the ancestral home of the Macleod Clan and aptly featured in Highlander (as you no-doubt know).
I could go on, but I'll leave you to just experience and enjoy for yourself :)

Back from my travels and catching up. Scotland was breathtaking. Really had a wonderful time. Weather was near perfect. The only issue was fog when we went up to the Orkney Isles. Our guide said we could brag about having been to the Isles but never seen them.

Just a heads up, that my daughter was born earlier this week, and that my post grammar and formatting may dip a little due to more stress and less sleep. I should be able to post at an ok rate but if I happen to miss a couple days this is why. Feel free to bot me if it’s needed, I would hate to hold up everything.

I wanted to give an update that I'll be at Dragon Con this weekend and will not be able to post much if at all. And this weekend starts Wednesday for me. :) I'll be back and on a regular schedule Tuesday.

Hey Folks,
I'm just going to hijack this thread for a second.
I had a game end over the summer (which some of you were in) and have recharged my batteries to the point where I'm ready to kick off something new.
I don't know what I'm going to run yet, as I want some input from potential players first. To facilitate that, I've set up a thread to have a bit of a session zero before I kick things off. LINKY
If anyone is interested in another game feel free to jump in and join the conversation, as you'd all be great additions to the table. But no pressure, as I'm sure you're all in a bunch of games already.

I'm finding it a bit confusing with the stamina pts in that I can only actually heal hps and it looks like people have taken a whole bunch of damage, but nothing that I can address.

Ed Shirren |

I can heal hp, but it doesn't look anyone has any significant hp damage yet. I guess I'm just complaining that I want to use my ability and you all aren't dying quickly enough.

Fingernipper |

I'm not 100% on how things work in starfinder, but I took 11 damage, which would have been stamina, then I recovered 5 of it, then I took another 7 damage, so I think that I'm at 1 stamina and full HP still.
It kind of depends on how damage resolves in the game. If everything resolves at the end of combat, then I could be down 4 HP and have 5 stamina.

Galactic Master Black Dow |

(cough) Updating damage taken in profile stat lines would help (cough).
I'll admit that the whole extra layer of Stamina & HP is a strange one - see the principle of Stamina but it appears to execute as an buffer to HP (at present).
Once we get into environmental effects more etc it might add up more.
Spiel I found detailed them such:
Hit Points and Stamina Points are tightly intertwined: while Stamina Points represent how many bruises and dings you can reliably shake off without suffering any lasting damage, Hit Points reflect how many actual injuries you can sustain while still staying upright and conscious. In contrast, Resolve Points (RP) are more of an indicator of your willpower and gumption, and this pool measures your ability to overcome your physical limitations as well as to employ core tenets of your training, even when the odds seem long.
As Startoad correctly notes you can use 1 Resolve Points to regain all Stamina Points as part of a 10 minute rest. You can also use them to stabilise and also to heal at 1HP once stable.
Guess healing tech, magics and having a ship with a med-bay will come in ever more handy down the line :)
(I've now an inclination to introduce the next reoccurring SRO after ROBOCAB as DOC-BOT: "HOLD STILL FLESHY ONE. I DO NOT WISH TO REMOVE ANY MORE WASTE TISSUE THAN IS NECESSARY...")

I wanted to note that some family stuff has been pulling me out of town and away from my computer. I hope all that is settled and I can get back to daily posting.

@All: Just a wee heads up that I'm off down to Edinburgh (Auld Reekie) tomorrow for a couple of days catching up with an old buddy.
Back Friday but likely (a little) worse for wear. Anticipate normal service will resume o'er the weekend.
Appreciate the patience - am off whole of next week so anticipate a real push to get Part 1 finished up :)

Ed Shirren |

just so I understand what's going on: It sounds like Retsi and Krisseven have made their exit from the game. The corpse commander is afloat, Nor is sending a rescue ship, and we don't know where Clara is.

Galactic Master Black Dow |

Perfect synopsis Ed :)
Hippo was on an autopilot return that has been triggered (by AB-SEC or Nor you are unsure). Effectively allows me to remove them from the game, Nor is promising a rescue ship (more likely when he finds the Corpse Commander missing).
Currently only you lot know where the Corpse Commander is located (or nearby) and no-one knows where Clara is...

Any thoughts on what we wanna do with the corpse commander? I don't particularly trust bringing it back to Nor, I would be sort of partial to selling it to King Kurney the drug lord extraordinaire.

Noah 2.0 |

Noah wishes to fulfill the contract and actually sorta likes Nor. But he is lawful. He is not likely to willingly deal with the drug lord. Expect a hard sell for him at the least.

@Ed
Gotta say, your posts entertain me so much. You do such a great job of posting simply but really showcasing a nervous jittery character. Almost always get a laugh out of your posts. A+

Gang - just a heads up that recently got the awful news that our beloved 9 year old rescue staffy has an aggressive brain tumour and only 4-6 weeks left with us.
Our red boy is the epicentre of our lives and this has pretty much shocked us to the core. We're brokenhearted and if over the next few days and weeks my posting suffers please bear with.
