Rhon turns as the voice begins speaking with both a bit of surprise and trepidation due to hearing Taldane spoken here well beyond Golarion. Rhon takes a moment to concentrate in the direction of the man as he sits upon the divan.

Rhon is casting Detect Evil as a spell like ability.

Exiel tightens his grip on his scimitar and motions to the last person at the door to shut it before they are spotted, then turns his attention to the stranger.

"How interesting. How do you know what we are here for, and why would you offer it to us freely?" he asks as he casts a shield spell on himself.

"Perhaps we could start with a name?"

Grand Lodge

The man in the black cassock laughs mockingly.

"Ah, a paladin is it?" he smirks at Rhon. "Yes, I can tell what you are doing. So transparent. I can save you the time. I am, what you would call in your narrow-minded perspective, evil."

He turns to Exiel.

"Tsk tsk. You invade my domain, barge into my house, use divinations on my person and on top of all that you ask me to give my name first before introducing yourselves? How uncivilized. Your world is even more primitive than I imagined."

"You use the tongue of Golarion, so your intentions are clear enough. Either Elvanna seeks to double cross me, or you are lackeys of my mother seeking to rescue her. No matter, what you seek is here, and I offer it freely," he says cooly as he holds out the doll.

Rhon channeling his inner Gimli? XD

Exiel positions himself at the front of the group, presenting himself as a target if the person (I'm gonna guess Rasputin? But weren't we told he went to his demiplane?) decides to attack.

"Don't mind me, I'm just going to run a diagnostic if it's all the same to you," he mutters as he casts detect magic.

Exiel grimaces as his friends give their names one by one. He recalls something another friend had taught him about the power of names, especially in the hands of skilled diviners and necromancers.

"Unlike Rhon, I made no offer to give you my name. You can refer to me as 'nameless', if you need to address me."

So about those magic auras?

Rasputin shrugs.

"Regrettable. But no matter. It simply means you will be the first."

The doll in Rasputin's hand cracks open, but what comes out from within is neither another doll nor a powerful witch crone. Instead, the twisted incorporeal forms of three once-beautiful young women and a young boy come forth, each distorted and marred with slit throats and numerous bullet wounds that spill hardened droplets that twinkle like rubies as they fall but vanish just before hitting the floor.

You recognize the 4 incorporeal beings as bearing a strong resemblance to the portrait, and the male one definitely looks like the boy that the three-headed dragon tried to impersonate. However, from the way that they shift and twist, Exiel recognizes them as a kind of extraplanar incorporeal creature called an "animate dream", beings formed on the ethereal plane sometimes formed by the dreams of particularly powerful and imaginative sleepers. They are nonetheless deadly creatures. 2 questions.

Exiel's spell blinds 3 of them, and they scream and howl in frustration. As they scream, you all feel your grip on reality slipping... Rasputin watches from behind with a sinister smile, untouched by Exiel's spell.

Each of you needs to make FOUR will saves at DC19. If you fail any of them, you are confused.

Mike and Exiel manage to evade the whirling blades, but Rhon and Earl are vaciously lacerated and Earl falls to the assault.

Exiel responds by sending a blast of force at green and orange. Green is pushed back only a little, but remains in the room. Orange is pushed through the wall and out of the room.

Green and Blue open their mouths in silent screams in your general direction. Blue does not realise Rhon is standing in front of her and takes a hit from his scimitar, but still manages to concentrate enough to push the spell through. You all feel a sense of dread creeping over you, threatening to overwhelm your senses (except for Rhon).

Red reaches out to caress Rhon. She just barely manages to touch him, but it is enough, and Rhon feels his body wracked by negative energy. Meanwhile, it looks like Blue is now able to see again...

42 needs to save against the blade barrier, and then make 2 more will saves against fear or be panicked (DC21).

Rhon needs to make a Will save against a curse. Rhon also needs to note that if Earl remains where he is, the blade barrier will kill him this turn.

Mike needs to make only 1 Will save against fear, DC21 or be panicked. Mike is also still confused.

Exiel needs to make 2 Will saves agianst fear, DC21 or be panicked

Once you have rolled your saves, Rhon, Mike and 42 are up. Rhon, you might want to change your action to save Earl.

I unfortunately have no way to save Earl from the Blade Barrier nor does Earl have a way to save himself. :( I will therefore keep my actions for this round. If we survive this I can summon another Large Earth Elemental to help me. I get the ability to do so three times per day at this level.

Rhon, you still need to save against the curse from Red's touch. I also forgot to say this earlier: the touch dealt 33 points of negative energy damage, not counting your negative energy resistance.

42 is lacerated by the whirling blades, but avoids succumbing to panic and fear. He strides up to the nearest incorporeal creature and slashes it with his scimitar, switching places with Rhon as the paladin steps back to drink his potion. However, there is nothing they can do for poor Earl, who has nowhere to go as the force blades cut him to into chunks.

Mike, having been included in an attack, instinctively lashes out at blue with a powerful blast of energy and deals significant damage.

Rasputin smirks and steps away from 42, and then casts another spell again. A knot tightens in the stomachs of your spellcasters as you realise that it is the same incantation as before... and another blade barrier springs up in the narrow hallway catching Exiel, Rhon and Mike.

GM:
15d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 3, 3, 5, 4, 3, 3, 3, 6, 3, 6, 4, 4) = 60
15d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 1, 1, 6, 5, 1, 6, 3, 2, 5, 5, 1, 4) = 46

42 takes 55 damage from the last round, but is not in the blade barrier this round.

Rhon You can make a DC24 reflex save to escape to the square South-East of blue. If you fail, you take 60 points of damage from the blades.

Exiel and Mike You are both shaken due to the fear spell cast by the animate dreams. Fear leaves you shaken for 1 round even if you make the save. The condition ends after the animate dreams' next turn.

Exiel and Mike You also need to each make a DC24 reflex save to escape the blade barrier, and if you succeed the only place to go is into the next blade barrier, which will still do 46 points of damage (DC24 reflex save to halve the damage from the other blade barrier).

Exiel Once you make your saves, it is your turn.

Check the map. The grey lines are the blade barriers, the red arrows show where you go if you make your first reflex save. If you fail your first reflex save. You stay put. Only Exiel and Mike need to make a 2nd reflex save if they pass the first.

He skips to the Western side of the house and notes with some frustration that there are now two sets of blade barriers between himself and Rasputin...

Realising that Rasputin is an immense threat if left unchecked, Exiel sighs deeply, and calls on Torag to use himself as a vessel of wrath against Rasputin, then flies back in through the blade barriers (or over them if the room is high enough) to come face to face with Rasputin.

My current AC is 41, touch AC vs incorporeal is 36, and touch AC vs Rasputin is 38. If possible I will try to fly over blue as well to avoid AoOs. I should have enough movement anyway to fly in such a way as to avoid as much blades and AoOs as possible.

42 and Rhon, remember we're hasted. Sorry Mike, I wasn't sure about hasting you while you're confused, but in hindsight that might have still be worthwhile.
